When we started visiting New York regularly, I looked for a hotel that was conveniently located, but had a warmer “vibe” than the big chains. I couldn’t have found a better fit for our needs. The staff is great, the rooms are comfortable, and having the Nice Matin downstairs is a real binus.
The hotel was really nice. Very clean and the rooms are spacious . The staff is excellent. Very friendly, courteous and helpful. Great location. We will definately be staying at The Lucerne Hotel again.
The staff was incredibly kind, the hotel had this wonderful classical elegance to it. The beds were comfortable, the rooms weren't super tiny as most NYC stays are. The bathroom was clean and elegant, the water pressure was perfect!
Enjoyed out 2 night stay at this beautiful hotel, room is nicely done with pleasant aesthetics and comfortable bed. Wi-fi didn't work, helpdesk resolved over the phone. phone in our room didn't work, no one really uses phone anymore. They could have better instructions for wi-fi for iPhone users. Overall, loved our stay and definitely it's going to be our first choice in Manhattan area.
The hotel was very pleasant and the staff were friendly. Location is very good on the UWS of NYC. Value was good. Rooms are small but clean and well appointed. Bathrooms could use an update. Noise between rooms was a bit loud.
The Lucerne is one of our favorite Upper West Side NYC hotels. It's close to Central Park, the subway, and a great variety of dining. Our only complaint this time was that the bathroom lighting was depressingly dim and the water pressure in the shower was weak. Otherwise it was a pleasure to stay there!
Every year, my husband and I plan a small getaway from the kids. My birthday is on the 12th, our anniversary is on the 13th, and Valentine's Day is on the 14th, so it's a perfect opportunity for us to take a break. We have gone to many hotels over the years (our daughters are 22 and 16), and this one is by far my most favorite experience. The kind and respectful staff made me feel appreciated and comfortable, the interior was wonderfully classic despite being renovated, and our room was spacious with a great foam mattress. I got a great price because of NY hotel week, but I'm sure my husband and I will be back no matter the price.
It was nice, but it was weird that the housekeeping manager let herself into my room-- she knocked, didn't wait for me to answer the door, and immediately let herself into my room-- to hustle me out of the room when I hadn't checked out at 11:58 (check out is noon). The front desk didn't seem to think this was a big deal.
Great hotel! Staff was lovely, everything was very clean. Location was perfect and so many cute, fun places around the block. Would recommend to anyone. Also very close to Central Park. Beds are extremely comfortable. Nice hotel but very small so made it feel more homey and not like you were in the heart of the city.
I love this hotel - have stayed here several times and will continue to come back. I love this neighborhood. Such great restaurants and easy access to the subway. The rooms are clean and the neighborhood feels like home!
