My family (me, my wife, 2 teenage sons and 2 dogs) have spent the short week between Christmas and New Years at the Loews Regency for about the last 10 years. This hotel is our home away from home. Everyone we have interacted with in the hotel, from reservations staff, doormen, bellhops and front desk attendants to concierges, phone operators and housekeeping staff are all consummate professionals who take pride in welcoming you, lending a hand and doing whatever they can to improve your stay. The hotel has a very good bar/restaurant (free coffee every morning!) and a great spa/salon. The location is a short walk from Central Park and great shopping on Madison and 5th Aves. and a short Uber or taxi ride to everywhere from 45th to 110th Sts. If you get tired of room service, which is very good, there are lotsof worthwhile restaurants (Serafina Always, Le Botanist, August, Burger Heaven, Pick A Bagel and Famous Original Ray's Pizza) and a well-stocked corner market within two blocks. We love the Park Avenue Suites, which are large corner rooms with a foyer, living/dining room, kitchenette and two large bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The few problems we have had over the years have always been dealt with quickly and professionally. The Loews Regency really is one of our favorite places - I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

I stayed at the Loews Regency NYC for two nights around New Years Eve and had an incredible stay.

The location is perfect - quiet and away from the hoards of tourists near Times Square, but within a short walk from everything. Central Park is literally only 2 blocks away. We even walked to our Broadway show.

The room was a double room (two beds) and was extremely large relative to a typical NYC hotel. I was more than impressed by the size and cleanliness of both the room and bathroom. The beds were among the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept on. I'm not sure how anyone could criticize this property because it is very well maintained.

Finally, what really sets this hotel far and above so many of the other hotels in this area is the customer service. Ask only once for anything and it will be taken care of in an extremely friendly and efficient manner. So many 5 star hotels seem to be going through the motions, but the employees at this hotel actually seemed genuinely happy - very refreshing!

Nightly turn down service with water bottles and chocolate was a great touch!

I will definitely stay at this hotel when I return to NYC.

The hotel lived up to m y expectations in terms of Loew’s service with the facilities being very much limited by being in NY.

I was traveling with a friend, and we shared a double. We had full-sized beds rather than queens, and the bathroom was small and lacking in shelf space. The bathroom did have a smart mirror for those wanting constant news or entertainment while getting ready in the morning.

The service was wonderful, from Kwame, the doorman, who greeted me on my arrival, to Yesenia (sp?) with housekeeping, who gave me a motherly hug upon my departure. Housekeeping was really flexible and efficient. They seemed to be very mindful of when we came and went, and they cleaned our room at a different times each day based on whether I or my friend needed to work during the day.

One downside might be the Regency Bar & Grill. I only had tea there one night
and breakfast the morning that I left. Breakfast service was very slow. It seemed to be a kitchen issue rather than a problem with the waitstaff. A family shared that they had missed their flight the day before, and my guess was that breakfast took much longer than they thought.

I would also note that the hotel has not upgraded its safes so that they are large enough to hold a laptop. This should be fixed.

I am a Marriott lifetime titanium member, so I am accustomed to receiving extraordinary service when I stay at a hotel. I usually stay in Times Square when I visit New York, but I decided to try the Lowe's Regency in New York based on availability and price during the holiday season. I was not disappointed - I felt like a very welcome premier member there as well. The hotel staff is phenomenal! The rooms are large and beautiful and impeccably clean. The location is close to some of the best shopping New York has to offer, as well as Central Park, the tour buses, and public transportation. Abdul and Lisa at the front desk deserve a mention for their great customer service.

This was my second stay at the Loews Regency. I think hotels in New York, even luxury hotels, or a little bit hit and miss, and I would include the Loews Regency in this category.
First, I thought the service was really excellent. The staff went out of their way to help you. I stayed on the 10th floor, and the housekeeper, Ana, was amazing. It literally brightened my morning to run into her.
However, the rooms are only ok. I thought the rooms were very nicely appointed, although extremely small. In the two times I’ve been there, I’ve gotten rooms that smelled like paint. The hotel actually did a renovation several years ago, so I don’t think there is new construction, but I believe they must touch up the rooms quite often. Also, I’m pretty sensitive to noise, and I think, as an older building, they were just issues with air-conditioning and pipes and such.
Also, the bedding is not comfortable. My pillows were a pile of lumps. I don’t know what synthetic material is used in the bedding, but all three nights I woke up extremely hot and sweating. The bed itself is fine.
My office is across the street, so I will probably stay there again just for the convenience, but if I had a choice, I would probably choose a different hotel in this price point.

All I can say is phenomenal service! We’ve had the best experience even prior to our arrival!
I booked a three night stay for my 40th birthday/Christmas shopping through Amex Platinum travel. Prior to arrival, I had a minor mishap regarding the reservation and Amex, (no fault of Regency whatsoever.) I felt as if the trip was starting off negative and may not recover, however Chris, the manager at the Regency turned that around AND THEN SOME! Because of Chris, my husband and I had one of the best trips we have ever had.

Chris was beyond friendly, professional and accommodating. He did exactly what he said he would do! He returned my call when receptionist said he would, he texted me when my room was ready early, and he gave me an absolutely amazing upgrade.

When I arrived on December 17th around 1pm the doorman unpacked my car happily and was extremely welcoming, we had enough luggage and shoes for a month long trip!

The bellman brought my luggage up to my suite (and arranged/laid it out lovingly!) while I checked in. I was very happy when I looked at the Gentleman’s nametag that checked me in as it read “Christopher.” Chris had already been such a big help and completely turned my day around- I was so happy to see him at check in.

Check in was extremely fast and Chris did an excellent job going over the perks that came along with my Amex reservation (daily breakfast, free internet, $100 credit etc.)

When I arrived to my room I was blown away, I had two views out of separate sides of the suite, housekeeping had the room immaculately cleaned and the beds and linen provided me the best night’s sleep I have ever had. (Currently saving the 7K to buy my own!)

In the evening, Prosecco, Hot Chocolate and Cookies where provided in the lobby by a lovely Gentleman who again went above and beyond (Reoccurring theme here).

Anytime we left the hotel we had our car service waiting out front, and the extraordinary doorman anticipated our needs and had the doors ready and open for us, this was most helpful given it was very, very cold during our stay. Ivan should be commended for his efforts.

I loved the location of the hotel, as the front entranced felt as if it was a quiet side street, yet it was perfectly, centrally located. The staff is top notch and I would absolutely recommend over the Mark and St. Regis. I can't wait to return! Thank you again!

Great stay at the Loews on Park Ave in NYC! Great location for walking throughout the city
They took great precautions for ensuring the safety of guests with regards to Covid and Omicron. Hand sanitizer was throughout the hotel, the remotes in the room were covered in plastic, only guests of the hotel were permitted in the bar/restaurant, and everyone had to show proof of being vaccinated.
The breakfast in the restaurant was delicious, as was the coffee at the Sant Ambroeus coffee bar.

I've been to the Lowes for several years now...always booking a suite. I've stayed in a 2 bedroom Park Ave Terrace Suite, 1970's Two Bedroom, Nate Berkus, Bespoke Suite, Terrace Suite North just to mention a few. I book here because it is clean and the size and value are worth it. I've had problems staying here with the staff on prior visits, mainly the front desk people. I am never welcomed back and none of them seem to go out of their way for me. I've built relationships with the doormen and housekeeping but it stops there. On my last visit in December the way the front desk spoke to me was unacceptable with snarky additudes. I didn't even know they have house car until I read it here. Really? Anyways, after that horrible start to my December trip a manager reached out to be and listened to my grievances and was very apologetic. He asked how he could make it up to me and I told him I wasn't looking for any freebies. In return almost everyday there was something sent to my room. Flowers, wine and cheese, fruit bowls, etc. The effort was appreciated. Now once again I have booked a two bedroom suite for March. Hopefully it will start out better than my trip in December. I read on TA all these wonderul reviews about the staff yet I have never experienced that. Like I said before, the doormen, housekeeping and room service all greet me and remember me and my family. Fingers crossed for my March trip.

Loews is located in a great area if you are looking for shopping, quiet and central park. Overall I was very pleased with the hotel and service and did give them 5 stars because of the location and customer service, especially the doormen.

We were not in NYC for the view so we did not care what our room view was. We had the grand executive suite and this was perfect for traveling with our teen daughter. The 2 bathrooms were a huge plus. The beds were comfortable and warm.

Overall the hotel was clean and housekeeping did a great job. The hotel itself could use some improvements on fit and finish in the rooms. For example, our room looked like it was renovated but the walls were scratched and marked up and there was random damage in odd places that seemed like their construction or maintenance team are not paying attention too. The bathroom was large but lacked hooks to hang our robes or towels. there was 1 hook. In the living room there was some type of orange crusted liquid that appeared to be spilled orange juice down the drawers. Housekeeping attempted to clean it but it looked old and needed to be scraped off and repainted.

The restaurant is closed to only hotel guests which is nice and the food was great. The salmon platter was excellent and the avocado toast was great.

There was a lot of mixed messaging between their website and onsite. These were not deal breakers for us as we were not spending much time in the hotel. It was more just annoying from a communication stance. I share them incase you should incur them and know they are not an issue.

The first was I pre-checked in online. When I arrived, the process in the email did not match the front desk, they also could not locate it and the communication was unclear on what the issue was but it was resolved and they let us check into our room early after our redeye. So this was not an issue for me.

The second was the room service, online it states they are open until 10, the hotel info I was texted stated 1045 or 11pm, when I called they stated 1030, it was 1030 and they said it was too late. Again, not an issue just more frustrating about the mix messaging.

the 3rd was online it states there is a town car for suite users, my husband needed to run to a store to pickup my shoes and when he asked, the front desk stated that was gone years ago. Again not a big deal, just more inaccurate information from the website to the actual location and want travelers to know this upfront.

I gave the hotel a 5 star because of the housekeeping and location is superb as well as the customer service and that's what matters to us.

I absolutely love the text option for the front desk, it saves so much time.

Where do I start? This past winter I had planned to travel down from Canada to New York to propose to my girlfriend right between Christmas and New Year's eve. In planning this special moment, the hotel was one of the most import components and I searched through many reviews and sites until I fell on the Loews Regency New York.

Not only is the hotel situated in a perfect area (a few steps away from Central Park, but just out of the way of the chaos on Fifth Avenue) but it also has this amazing coffee shop in the lobby, where you can enjoy great coffee and food. Even before booking this hotel, the staff helped me on several calls to give me options on how to make my special day even more special, as well as offered ideas for dinners, sites and spots.

Once I booked the Loews hotel, I quickly reached out to the concierge to ask for help with restaurants a few surprises. I want to send a BIG thank you to David and Robert at the concierge desk, as well as the whole team there who helped me. They arranged for a limousine to pick us up to bring me to our proposal location, helped with several restaurant ideas and booking, they provided us with a gorgeous room that one only dreams of booking in New York and stayed in contact with me every step of the way. They helped me through every detail, and even helped coordinate with our photographer on site. I literally felt as though I have known these people for years, and albeit a stressful day the team at Loews helped with everything and made our experience amazing. I am so happy and thankful for the staff and the Loews hotel for their help with making our special day a reality, and needless to say that my fiancée and I will not look to stay anywhere else when we visit New York in the future. We are and forever will be loyal guests at the Loews Regency NYC!

Thank you so very much!

Konstantino

You should address your concerns directly to the hotel for room amenity specifics. You can easily look up the info on line also. Room photos at the website are extremely true to the room. The last time we were there, we did have a small fridge but had to request they remove the honor bar items to allow us room for our own snacks/water. Our room also had a microwave but, no kitchen supplies provided. I believe this was just an oversight so best to mention what you need prior to check in. I believe we did not have a bathtub in our room, just a very luxurious and large shower. I can not imagine they would charge extra for a crib. We had no luck with the town car. I'm sure many ask to be carted around by it. Better to have them wave down a cab at the front entrance. Most likely will be a lot quicker to get around.
