We were there in March for about a week. Room was clean, bed was as well I didn’t like having a connecting to my next door neighbors as they had apparently been smoking weed and the smell wafted over through the door. But that’s a room neighbor thing I guess. I thankfully couldn’t hear any sounds from the street. Food was expensive as expected, but I really really liked their espresso martini The view from the window seat in the restaurant is really nice as well. But it’s hard to get. Only thing is when you wanna go outside you have to go through a mass of people waiting to come inside for the theater.
Charlie at check in was so amazing! He was super kind to me and even gave me an upgraded which I appreciated. Housekeeper Yokaira was so kind and attentive. I definitely enjoyed the hotel and the amenities and hope to visit again soon!
We recently took a trip with our 15 yr old granddaughter to NYC. After extensive research we chose the New York Marriott Marquis hotel. It was the perfect choice. Our room overlooking Times Square was recently remodeled and we were within walking distance to all of our planned activities and Broadway. We did not pay for the hotel breakfast, but instead, ate breakfast at Travel Trader's Gift Shop Cafe, their in-hotel convenience store. The location is near many restaurants, such as Juniors, Hard Rock Cafe, and Ellens Stardust....some of our favorites! It is also near the Hop-on Hop-off bus and many shops.
Clean, modern rooms. Were on the 31st floor so everything was very quiet. Nice towels and a nice accommodating staff. Quick check in. Had the breakfast buffet the next morning and it was just ok. At $37 a person, I would suggest ala carte. Overall, great hotel and will stay here again.
This was our first trip to New York since Covid began and was so happy to return to the Marriott Marquis. Since we had tickets to a show we were pleasantly surprised that our room was ready by noon. We checked in on the Bonvoy application that morning. The room was very nice and looked to be renovated since our last visit. We had a great view of Times Square from the 18th floor, and could not hear any noise. We tried the breakfast buffet, but prefer an Omelette station. Just a personal preference. Valet was very easy and really appreciate the wonderful service from all the hotel professionals. Sure will be back.
Positives -Centrally located in Times Square. -Considering the size of the hotel the elevators were very efficient. -Large size renovated rooms -John in the restaurant on the 8th floor was excellent -M Club staff were very pleasant Negatives -Little recognition for Marriott Platinum members -No slippers or cotton pads, shower caps etc in the room -Sofa bed in the room - were told we had to make it ourselves as apparently it does not fall under housekeeping's responsibilities -M Club is only for 2 guests (even if you are a family including children over 5 years - this was not clear when booked. You need to pay for any additional guests. -Front desk were not very helpful and on the last day we nearly missed our train out of NYC due to wrong information being given to us from the front desk…
I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights during a conference hosted at the hotel. Very unique experience being right at Times Square. The hotel was beautiful and the elevator experience was quick and easy. The hotel had a restaurant and bar area that was beautiful. The bar service was good. The conference room spaces were very small for our breakout rooms and that was probably the most disappointing experience. The view is the most impressive. Very cool to see Times Square.
This is our 14-15th time we have stayed at this hotel and it never fails to disappoint us. in fact, we get impressed every time. The M Club is a really nice place with great breakfast options, and snacks and drinks throughout the day. Hotel has undergone a major renovation and is in excellent state. Cannot say enough of the location as it is right in the heart of Times Square and just adjacent to pretty much any and every broadway show.
We checked into the Marriott Marquis on a recent stay and as a Marriott Bonvoy Elite member, we've never stayed at a Marquis property so were a nervous. The property has indeed been renovated which was a relief. It is large and we were intimidated but the whole check-in process was made incredibly easy by Patricia and Sue. There was an initial mix-up with our bookings for 2 rooms which could have been catastrophic as most properties in NYC that weekend were pretty booked at our price point for 2 rooms. They alleviated my stress level very quickly and the rest of the stay was delightful. The rooms are nicely appointed and clean. The noise on the side is manageable and we had a slight view of Times Square which was perfect. We learned a long time ago that the view of Times Square is not worth the noise. So, we were happy with where we were. Keep in mind still, this is a BIG hotel. The rooms were really spacious. If we needed to be in the Times Square area again, we'd stay there again.…
Instead of our usual family beach vacation, we brought our son, daughter-in-law, and two almost adult grandchildren to New York. I made the reservations for a two-bedroom suite months ago. I had a code for the M Club for one person plus a guest. I called before we arrived to check on the status of the reservation and was advised the code was “not available”. Strange that it was still available when I checked online. Disappointing, but not a reason to complain, I decided. Check-in was smooth and pleasant. Our suite is lovely--45th floor- with a great view. The beds are comfortable and the shower is great. Late check-out is not available even though we are in elite status --at least according to the “chat” feature on the Marriott Bonvoy app. Actually, every question resulted in the same prescripted reply. All in all, it has been a memorable vacation. My only recommendation is that offers of late checkout and M Club should not be publicized if they are not accessible. It makes an otherwise lovely stay a bit disappointing.…
