Detailed Reviews
We stayed here because a family member was having a surgery at Columbia Presbytarian Hospital. The hospital is two blocks up the street. The hotel was so Wonderful to work with. We were not quite sure how long we would need the rooms for. They were so flexible. We ended up leaving a little earlier than anticipated and they were ok with it. The hotel is very clean. The rooms are your average NYC rooms. They are tight but well appointed. The beds were very comfortable. The staff is very nice and so friendly. I highly recommend this hotel. While we were there a large number of people were staying there to take the bar exam up the street. The hotel had a free food truck one night for everyone to enjoy. One hint regarding parking, it was cheaper for us to park at the hospital garage than the garage contracted with the hotel. If you need a place to stay for the hospital or Columbia this is a great place to stay. Also there is a subway stop up the block.

Hotel's Favorite
Comfortable, convenient room with a wonderful view and a terrific front idesk staff. They were all knowledgeable, helpful and accommodating. The hotel .just a few blocks from Columbia Presbyterian hospital, and the subways, with many nearby restaurants, delis, and food trucks. The room was small but comfortable.

Love this hotel, small and cozy and pretty.
the front desk is very helpful and polite. they gave us senior discount and we travelled from Canada.
its served the purpose well, the United Palace theatre is just 10 min walking distance.
The only issue is the water leaks from the shower stall when we shower.. for (queen bed suite ) the reason is its narrow, which is understood for small suite.
I would give 5 stars in spite of it. The hotel staff comes and cleans it right away, as we did not expect it.
they were willing to provide the needed things.
Book it with confidence.
So, pretty, and clean.
Trust there are no MICE, because in the street outside there are plenty, looks like they keep it out of mice.

We stayed 12 nights, we went with my wife on vacation. The room is small, but has everything you need. It didn't have a minibar, but we requested it and they brought it to us within 5 minutes. The swing doors in the bathroom are not so comfortable. The receptionists were always very friendly. It is in a neighborhood with a Latin population. It is one block from the Subway, so getting to the center of Manhattan is very easy. It takes about half an hour. The hotel does not have a kitchen, but it has a living room to eat something of your own, with a dishwasher, microwave oven, armchairs, tables. Taking into account the very high prices of downtown, it seems like a recommendable place to me.

The room was small for two people (we had room with only one window and no chair as pictured), but otherwise the room was comfortable. We picked the hotel to be close to a concert at the United Palace a few blocks northwest of the hotel and to explore a new neighborhood in NYC. It checked all those boxes. My main concern: pricey for the one night. Tips: Malecon restaurant up Broadway a few blocks was good for a big Cuban breakfast with excellent cafe con leche. Close to a park on the east side of the island for a jog. Kinda fun running over High Bridge (part of park just east of the hotel) that used to be an aqueduct and touching the Bronx. We used Spothero to find a parking lot 3 blocks away for $17 for 24 hours. Someone else mentioned the thermostat being hard to control. I wasn't there long enough, but I think it turned back on by itself when I thought I'd turned it off during quiet spring night.

The staff at Edge Hotel was the most helpful and supportive I have met. Luis secured a reservation for me just a few days before arrival and Dominic helped with maps, lists of restaurants, places of interest which made navigating the immediate area for the first time effortless. 5+++ stars for everyone’s assistance and superior service!!!!!

The Edge Hotel is a great hotel with super location for anyone having surgery or family members having surgery at Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital or just wanting a super hotel in a neat neighborhood. The staff is very kind and professional, easy to work with when making changes as I needed to, rooms and public spaces very clean, immaculate in fact. They’ve been using hospital-grade anti-bacterial cleaners before Covid required them to do so. The rooms are updated in feel, very comfortable beds, nice linens,
Between the staff and the great rooms, I will definitely recommend and stay at the Edge again.

I stayed here M-F last week, I am so happy we found the Edge Hotel; The staff was so accommodating and the property was VERY clean at all times, We had a family member who is being taken care of at the Presbyterian Hospital, and the hotel is only two blocks away. Also very affordable.. Hat's off to the manager and her staff. I give the Edge Hotel 5 Stars.

Just had to leave a quick shout-out to Dominic. We stayed at the Edge for the marathon and had a sign without a handle. Dominic was unbelievably helpful with creating a handle out of cardboard from the box it came with and tape he provided. He’s cheerful and kind and always welcoming. We’ve stayed at The Edge many times and will happily return when we’re visiting NYC. Thanks Dominic!!

This hotel is the best place to stay in the area. Service is great. They are accommodating COVID by giving people a voucher for a neighboring bagel place instead of a continental breakfast. The rooms are really cute but very small, more in the "European" way. The thing that really bugs me each time I come is that you are not able to control the temperature beyond a very limited range -- it appears to be up to them. It's like living in an old NYC building, not on a par with the other amenities. Is this something they could address?
