Great stay! Loved it. Very comfortable and vibe for days. The convenient bar and restaurants had wonderful food. Location was good for getting anywhere in mid-lower Manhattan. There’s is construction going on next door and I’d request a different room next time on opposite side. Will be back!
The Beekman hotel and staff experience was one of the best experiences we have had. This is our third time staying there and this go round was the best by far. They understand that they are in the hospitality business and provide great service. Food was terrific in the Bar Room at Temple Court. Using Resy for reservations is great and HIGHLY recommended. The atmosphere in the hotel bar is relaxing with a combination of cozy couches, modern and old style tables and great decor. It is inviting and makes you OK with hanging there for a few cocktails.
My wife and I stayed in room 605, loved it! Temple for dinner and Bar Room for breakfast and food was amazing! Within walking distance to 9/11 Museum (amazing and well done) and subway was nearby to get uptown.
I loved staying in this hotel. it is very convenient for me when visiting relatives. I Like the ambience of the place and the staff are very helpful. I find the rooms are dark during the day and would prefer them to have more natural light. Everything was clean and worked well and the bed was extremely comfortable
Usually my NYC rooms are tiny. This was a much nicer room than I'm used to in NYC. The bar area has a great vibe. Very nice hotel overall. The bed was very comfy and the room was immaculate. Check in greeted me promptly and checked me in right away. Very painless check in and check out. Will come back next time I'm in NYC.
Such a unique hotel! Service was up to par with the ambiance. Took me back to the New York of the early 1900’s. Rooms are more than adequate, linens are lovely, service was great and everything exceeded my expectations. Decor has tons of personality.
Sheets felt wet, damp, in our room (405). Friends were in two adjoining rooms and their beds did not feel wet. Bathroom was clean except for the mold that was all over grout in the shower right below the the soap ledge. The hostess would not allow us to sit in the lounge/bar area in the morning because we only wanted to have coffee and conversation, no food. She told us we had to get the coffee near the concierge desk and sit out there. The day before we had a bite to eat in the lounge area and there people having a drink from the bar with no food, so we are not sure why we were turned away. The lounge was not busy at all, and we are great tippers! I mean, for $500 a night and 3 rooms rented, we expected more. We did eat brunch the day before in the lounge. I had a burger that was great, but the bun was burnt and not edible. The furniture is gross! Old and dirty couches and chairs that are so broken in you had to put several pillows behind you to even reach the table. The bar and lounge are beautiful, but the furniture needs to be burnt! All of the staff were amazing…other than the hostess who would not allow us a table if it was only for coffee. Also, the location at this time was horrible! There is a new building being built across the street, so the noise was constant. There were also RATS all around the building and the surrounding streets at night. Wherever we walked…rats. If we didn’t see rats, it was drug addicts or homeless people. I also can’t believe the amount of dog crap on the sidewalks around there. Why do people in cities get dogs?! We won’t be going back there or recommending it. As I said, we expected so much more. …
The Beekman is a beautiful hotel in a nice building. Staff is helpful. We have not tried the restaurants and bars but it was always busy so I guess it is good. Her rooms are on the small side but this NY.
The hotel is a beautiful building with atmospheric lighting (a bit too dark for me). The atrium is beautiful with wrought iron balustrades. You feel that you are transported to 100 years back. The rooms are nicely sized with comfortable beds. The shower is nice and so is the bathroom. The views from the room are poor but that is the character of the area. The service is uneven. From very helpful staff and barman to unfriendly barman to waiters who have no clue of the menu - gives you a feel of lack of professionalism, no training and unfriendliness. With good service this hotel can be a classic.
Paul is amazing he made my boyfriends birthday so special and went above and beyond with his service. Before booking he took me on an in person tour of the room. LOVE great service! Would definitely come back.
