Truly perfect location - wonderful stay! The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance of Broadway shows, restaurants, Times Square and subway stations. The staff was welcoming and accommodating. The lobby is very nice and doors are locked - no entry without a hotel key, which made us feel very safe. The rooms were clean and roomy for New York with a small refrigerator for our use. Very nice benefit was having a hot breakfast each day from 7:00 am - 10:00 a.m. Would definitely stay here again!

We stayed on the 26 floor near that elevator but were not disturbed by noise . We had a lovely room with 2 double beds quiet big room by New York standards with nice view. The bathroom had a bath /shower very clean and lots of fresh towels. The staff in the hotel from housekeeping to reception were all very friendly and efficient. The breakfast in the hotel was excellent with a good selection of food but be early as it tends to fill up quickly . There is coffee iced water tea facilities 24 hours beside the reception nice touch . It is in a great location close enough to walk to the tourist locations and shopping also just one block from the port authority bus terminal and subway stations are nearby. We had traveled from Ireland for a special significant birthday celebration for my daughter when the hotel staff discovered this they put a balloon and goodies in the room with a birthday card signed by some of the staff a lovely personal touch and was much appreciated . I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel will be staying there on my next visit to New York

Everything about this hotel was fantastic, from the location to the staff and more. Just around the corner from Times Square and the next street is 42nd street so very handy if going to one of the Broadway shows. The subway entrances are at the end of the street connecting to most lines, and the Empire State, Rockerfeller Centre, 5th Avenue are all within easy walking distance. Complimentary hot drinks and iced water are available at all times in the lobby, along with cookies from 5pm. I didn't expect much from the included breakfast, but it was very good. Juices, smoothies, pastries, fruit, cereals, yoghurts, toast, two hot choices each day (omelet + bacon / scrambled eggs + sausage), and the highlight of our stay - make your own waffles!! This set us up for the day and this plus the lobby drinks saved us a lot of $$. The room was clean, warm and comfortable with a huge bed and we slept well each night, our door was opposite the lift on floor 26 but we didn't hear anyone and the outside road noise was minimal over night. I would definitely stay here again!

This is my second trip to New York, and we were offered this hotel as part of our package, or the same we stayed at last time. We choose this hotel, and I’m glad we did. The rooms are nice and modern, the bathroom is huge. They have an observation deck on the roof which offers great views of the city, and it’s in a great location, close enough to walk to the tourist locations and shopping. Free WiFi was included with our room. You also get a complimentary breakfast everyday. The breakfast is a very good value, with either scrambled eggs or omelettes, sausage or bacon as hot food, plus make your own waffles. Also oatmeal and cereal, smoothies, juice, fruit, toast. The coffee is also quite good. I am going to nitpick and say that breakfast is REALLY crowded, and sometimes a wait for a table, plus it’s all paper plates, cups, plastic cutlery, so I’m really hoping the hotel is actively recycling this because the bins were full each and every day. Also every day they have a coffee bar in the lobby which you can help yourself to.
My only other complaint is the elevators, which were incredibly busy, always full, and we ended up taking the stairs quite regularly, which is fine on the 6th floor but I’m certain someone on the 31rst floor might disagree. Overall this is a really great location and a really great value.

Clean, comfortable rooms in a five-star location. Close to subways, theater, and the Port Authority terminal, this reasonably-priced hotel offers an alternative to more expensive places. Free hot breakfast includes waffles and a range of foods...They also offer a bag breakfast snack.

Just come back from a fantastic 5-night stay at the Hampton Inn, Times Sq Central. We were given a room on the 26th floor (think the hotel has 30/31 floors) room big enough, big comfy bed, the view was ok, could see Empire state building from the room (south side), very clean hotel and really friendly staff.
Only downsides were breakfast, it could get really busy. Plenty of options to choose from but you need to get down before 7 am / 7.30 am to enjoy as it gets way to busy after 8 am/8.30 am and you'd be lucky to find a table. There was often nowhere to sit and people would overspill to the lobby, the other thing that spoilt it a little was that plastic cutlery, paper plates and cups were supplied.....I think the hotel is better than this.
The second downside was in our room - the toilet door (not sure if this was just our room though as we were based by the fire exit and it could have been to save space), it was a sliding door and didn't offer much privacy as there was a gap of about an inch around the door. No one mentioned where to find ice (which can be found on the 11th floor). This would have been useful information during check-in or when purchasing drinks from the lobby shop (which is only small but good enough). Deposit of a $100 was requested but there are no resort fees. Free wifi which is always great. Hairdryer supplied which was excellent for a hotel one, there's no need to bring your own. Neutrogena products supplied daily i.e. shampoo/conditioner/soap etc. Room cleaned daily. Free cakes/cookies, tea/coffee and water at the reception area.
Overall I would highly recommend the Hampton Inn. Concierge service downstairs who can help with subway links if needed or reservations, theatre tickets etc. Hotel location is excellent. Times Square subway is at the end of the street and Times Square is only a block away which is about 3 min walk. Would definitely stay again.

This was my first time visiting NYC and I’m glad I picked this hotel! Although the rooms are on the smaller, less polished end, the location and generally friendly staff made up for it :) as other reviewers have said for the price, the location can’t be beat! Times Square is right around the corner, Central Park and other tourist attractions are within walking distance and if you need to catch the subway there are two stations very close by. There are also several restaurants nearby likely due to the proximity to Times Square so you won’t have to go far to find food. There was hot self serving buffet style breakfast while I was here. Rooms are cleaned upon request and you have to call/ go to the front desk to ask for extra amenities such as soap, towels etc. Overall pleasant stay. Would definitely consider staying here again.

I booked to stay in this hotel as a surprise for my other half’s 30th birthday. The hotel is in a great location and just a short stroll to Times Square. The room we had was a decent size for the 2 of us, and we didn’t notice any noise at night. The hotel is clean and the staff were really helpful. We arrived early so our room wasn’t ready, but we were able to safely store our bags and use the toilets to change in as we wanted to freshen up after our flight, which meant we could start exploring and check in later.
After booking online I got in touch with the hotel to let them know it was a birthday surprise, and they kindly offered suggestions of where I could order a cake and balloons to be put in the room. I didn’t end up organising anything but the hotel staff put a card and some snacks in the room which was a lovely surprise! Would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again!

Stayed at this hotel a couple times most recently I’ve noticed the bed sheets have not been fresh and cleaned nor the remotes, a/c etc. in the current situation to COVID19 I’m even more concerned. I’d suggest you also check a recent Inside Edition expose on the property - definitely will not be returning here

Desr kawoh, We are disappointed and embarrassed that our hotel was shown on this episode to have not lived up to our responsibilities to our guests. We have a team of hardworking, caring people but yet we failed. We are human, and we operate with integrity and admit when we made a mistake. It wasn’t just the housekeeper who failed. We all did. We have systems in place to make sure this doesn’t happen but we have to follow them. We will do better. Please feel free to reach out to at anytime. Best Regards, Gerry Hughes

I absolutely loved this hotel. First of all, you’ll be greeted by every staff member throughout your trip. When we arrived our room wasn’t ready, but our bags were safely stored until it was time to check-in and the front desk agents were giving us tips on what to do and where to eat (hint: Carnegie Pizza is a few doors down and one of the best spots in the city).
What a luxury to have three elevators in a NYC hotel! We never had to wait more than few minutes, even during the busiest times. Hint: if you do feel you’re riding too long, sometimes go down to go up or go up to go down.
I found our room to be nicely sized for three of us in the middle of the city, and we were even able to request a refrigerator and have it fit comfortably in our room. It’s $20 for the stay which isn’t bad at all. There was an ice bucket and safe inside the room as well.
COVID protocols are still in place in terms of housekeeping not servicing daily, but you can request it and if you need anything the front desk is more than happy to assist, from fresh towels to toilet paper.
Now let’s talk breakfast. Signature Hampton breakfast with just enough tweaks each day to make it feel new. But here is where the staff really excels. You’re greeted upon entry. You’re told what all your options are. They’ll assist you with any questions or requests and in fact noticed I was struggling with the waffle batter and told me they’d be back to refill it before I could even ask. While it can get super busy, we scored a table each day as the team is quickly wiping them down and helping move it along. This crew made my morning every day!
Finally, if the great hospitality and amenities don’t help make the decision for you, let the location. It’s in a safe location a block away from Times Square… so you get all of the convenience with none of the noise (especially on higher floors). Plenty of food, shopping, shows and the Subway only steps away. Security was too notch as after a certain time you need your room key to get in and you always need your room key to use the elevator.
Also, it is walking distance to the bus station (across the street) and the train station (eight blocks). If you want to catch rideshare, they never had trouble finding the hotel front entrance for pick up or drop off. The team will also help coordinate transportation if you need it.
From this hotel we were easily able to do: a Yankees game, a Mets game, The Empire State Building, Times Square, Statue of Liberty, 9/11 Memorial and One World Observatory to name a few. It is easily able to be your home base for all things NYC. I’ll absolutely stay here on my next trip to NYC. Thanks for a great stay!

We had to ring a bell. The glass door is locked, because it might not be secure outside.
hello MHendrix2, if you are getting the subway by LGA you will need to get in a cab to get their first. The station is Mets Willis Point. From there you can get on the 7 train and take it to Times Square stop at 42nd street. Our hotel is around the corner on 41st street. There is a staircase you can come up on 7th ave. and 41st street but it may be tricky to find below. If so, the hotel is a few feet away going towards 8th ave. If you need more assistance, feel free to call us directly at 212-221-1188. We will see you soon!
