The hotel is very clean and it was really quiet at night. It is very basic with a loud and old fashioned air con unit - the bathroom is beyond tiny. Location was ok for the major sites. It was cheap though for NYC and when doing the tourist stuff you barely spend any time in the room so it was an overall ok experience.
Very friendly and accommodating staff. The room was clean and quiet. The subway is just around the corner. Many restaurants with various cousins and many places to visit in walking distance. I would definitely book it again
I chose the Cambria - Chelsea mostly because I'd arrived by train and it was the only reasonably priced property remotely close to Moynihan Train Hall. It's a bout a ten minute walk through a lively, but pleasant neighborhood. There was a short wait when I arrived at the hotel, supposedly because they had to check which rooms the housekeepers had finished. I had to wonder, though, why housekeeping was even still working at 6:30pm. I can't complain, though, because for my wait I was upgraded to a balcony suite on the top floor. The elevators are fast, and I was quickly on the 18th floor. Most hotel rooms in New York are tiny, but the room I'd been upgraded to was enormous. It was a true suite, with a sitting room and a bedroom, two TVs, two sinks, and a very nice shower. The lighting was good, and the view from the balcony (including the new World Trade Center) was excellent. My only real complaint at this hotel is that for a place that wants to come across as luxurious, the surfaces look cheap. I've been to other Cambria properties where they have hardwoods and granite, but here the flooring is wood-tone laminate, and the furniture, lamps, and counters also appear to be plastic. Again, I'm not really complaining after being upgraded to a lovely room, but I do wonder why they didn't choose nicer finishes. Everything looks modern, but it also looks a bit tacky. While I didn't have a need to interact much with them, the desk staff were very pleasant and helpful. They seemed to enjoy their jobs and were very efficient at them. I'll be back in New York at Christmas, and this was the first hotel I checked when making reservations. Unfortunately the price then is double what I paid on this trip, so I'll instead be staying in Brooklyn. I'll certainly consider the Cambria on future trips to New York, though.…
The hotel is clean and well appointed. The lobby is large by New York standards and the front desk people are very helpful. Gave us extra towels and pillows when requested and ice because the 5th floor machine was broken. Heard the rooftop was nice from other travelers but didn't get to see it due to rain. The rooms are fairly large for New York. I had room to put suitcases away from the walking paths to the bed. It had 1 king bed and a small couch. It said it was a pullout couch but we couldn't get that to work. It even had a large armoire to put clothes (with many hangers as well) and a decent sized desk. The bathroom was small but very nice looking with subway tiles in the shower. I wish the sink was bigger as there was little more room to store your toiletries. Lots of hot water and good water pressure. The bed was comfortable and the TV was big. I didn't hear a ton of noise from the hallway but there are only 10 rooms per floor so that might be why. The AC works well and not horribly noisy either. It has both a small fridge and microwave which is not common in New York hotels. This saved us money for breakfast as I could re-use the bagel spread from Day 1 for other days. The elevator worked well and was quick. The location is in the flower district and walking distance to 6th avenue where many restaurants were. We liked Dim Sum Palace only 5-6 blocks away. There are bagel places very close by since they don't offer breakfast. It was an easy location to get to anywhere in the city and it felt very safe. There is road construction in front of the hotel so getting an Uber was a bit tricky (we decided to go to 6th Ave for them and that worked great). I would come back here again and the price isn't terribly expensive (under $175 a night), especially for New York.…

This was our first trip to New York City, and to be honest I was a little worried about the hotels in the city because of stories I had heard. Well I was worried for nothing. Our flight came in very early in the morning and the Cambria Chelsea was nice enough to hold our luggage for a family of three behind the front desk until a room was available. When we did get our room we were very happy. It was clean, the bed was awesome, and it had a great view. There were a few things we needed help with but Terquore was happy to help in getting us an extra set of towels, linens for the pullout bed, and fixing our television. All of this happened fast. I know some people can be miffed when they don’t get maid service everyday ( here it is every 3rd day) but all you have to do is request garbage pick up, fresh towels, etc. The hotel is right in the mix of everything but you can hear anything when trying to rest. Also, it was easy to walk to places or catch a cab. We found cabs to be much cheaper than Uber. Especially from the airport compared to our friends who took Uber we paid half of what they did. Overall our stay was wonderful and when we come back to the city, this is where we will stay! Also, I felt safe in the neighborhood walking alone during the day to shops without my husband.…
Jackie and Angel were amazing! They were very helpful and accommodating. They went out of their way to make me and my team comfortable. The hotel was perfect for a quick trip in a great location. Highly recommend!
Hotel with a good location very convenient for visiting New york with subway and trains stations nearby Flowers shops and Nice restaurants around Rooms are well equiped only AC is very noisy Thank you to Jackie and Angel for your kindness and all the team We really enjoyed our stay
Good qualities: Nice staff. Bad qualities: The bathroom sink was like a gas station. Glued to wall. No room to move in the bathroom. Had to maneuver in bathroom to move around and even shut door, and I weigh 118 llbs. Two coffee makers, never worked. Faux wood flooring glued to floor and coming off. Pillows that were flat as pancakes. We were in a “superior” room. Pathetic!
