Great hotel just near 9/11 tribute memorial and museum. Great bars opposite and a fab deli. Hotel was clean comfy and £20 a night four of us shared room so snug but manageable and only slept there. Bed comfy and shower good with fresh towels everyday. Staff were very friendly and booked 8 of us a limo for $120 back to JFK as they knew it was same price as standard car. Nothing too much trouble. Bar was good serving nice food too

My daughter Anna had her first New York City trip with her mom. Nicole at the front desk assisted , the supervisor and the rest of the staff. The restaurant food selections were beyond delicious. The servers Lee & Ray were so hard-working. The best salads ,cranberry juice was unsweetened but not tarty. The atmosphere was loud enough for conversation but also relaxing with great music in the background. Our view on 43rd floor was interesting not with a Hudson view but satisfying. Emma watched over our luggage due to our late airline flight. Despite our financial budget, We were able to enjoy a 4 plus star Hotel with a discount that enabled us to have more tourists options. The housekeeping staff kept our room cleaned especially Malawi and Erica. Our concierge Emma helped us research options in our visits to the various sites. It’s a great experience seeing diversity at its best.

We stayed here in January.
I was really impressed for a holiday inn. Our room was quite big and spacious, we had an amazing view of world trade centre. the air con whilst noisy did the job and we were able to heat and cool the room as needed.
Pillows were comfy as was the mattress.
The room was cleaned daily, all items such as coffee, shampoo were replaced.
The tv has lots of channels which was good after a long day walking to sit and relax.
There are ice and water machines on several floors.
Check in was quick and easy, directions were given when needed and front desk staff were polite.
Hotel is in great location to nearby subway lines. Short walk to world trade centre, Staten Island ferry, Wall Street. Also, it’s quite quick to get here from the airport because you miss all the uptown traffic!
We ate at George’s for breakfast most days which was nice deffo worth a visit! Good pancakes.
Area was clean and felt safe later on at night.
Only cons were the lifts do take ages and sometimes have to wait for the next one or 2 to get actually fit in and the guy getting our luggage on the evening was less than thrilled to be at work and was quite snappy.
Other than that, I would definitely return to this hotel and had a fab stay!

We booked through Booking.com a few months in advance and the price was fantastic. Having read the mixed reviews, overall we decided it was worth staying here, if only as a base to explore New York.
Point one, yes the rooms are very small. Apparently our room could have slept 4 people (2 double beds) but realistically there is no way 4 adults could get ready in the limited space. It was good enough for two adults though. The beds were clean and comfortable, and although the maid service was haphazard (sometimes fresh towels were left, sometimes not), there was a supply for 4, so there was always plenty of clean towels. The shelving units and tops of lamps/bedsteads etc were thick with dust, not great but not the end of the world.
Point two. The electrics weren’t great in the room, the hair dryer kept tripping and if you used the power sockets on the lamp, then the lamp wouldn’t turn on! The aircon unit was a huge, old fashioned unit that took up valuable space in the room. It was also very noisy during use and especially when it turned on and off intermittently. However we kept it turned off and the temperature was ambient enough for us in November. The water pressure in the shower was also very low, and it took an age for it to heat up.
Point three. We did not experience the delays other reviewers have mentioned about the lifts. Maybe the hotel was not at full capacity when we stayed, or maybe it was that we managed to avoid peak usage times.
We were on the 38th floor, and although the hotel boasts great views it goes without saying not all rooms will be afforded one. Our room 3804 had a partial view of the waters off Battery Park looking between two other high rise buildings.
Loved the coffee machine in the room. As there was only powdered creamer, I tried it black. The coffee was mellow enough to drink that way and strong enough to set you up for the day.
The hotel is only 5 years old, given this you would expect more modern air conditioning units, more even water pressure and better electrics. However, it was ideally located for subway stations, and the tourist attractions in the Financial District. For the price we paid we definitely have no room for complaints.

I stayed here for 4 nights with 4 of my friends in the middle of January. We were put on the 48th floor and we were immediately impressed by the view of the city however the rooms with two double beds was very small for 4 adults, I would recommend two separate rooms. The staff were very helpful with directions to places and advice on different trips and the food at the restaurant was very nice. Rooms were not overly clean but you get what you pay for. The hotel was a very convenient location for many attractions including World Trade Center that was just around the corner and a subway station to uptown also right by the hotel.

The hotel is close to many subway lines and a short walk to the Staten Island ferry station in one direction and the PATH station in the other. We were assigned room 4505 which has a great view and is a good size for two people. Location is great and the staff at the front desk are all helpful and professional. While there were always large crowds waiting for the elevator, it never took more than a couple of minutes to get into one of three of the spacious elevators. My only disappointment and the reason for the rating, is the room not being properly cleaned, before our arrival or while we stayed at the hotel. There were hairs in the tub, dust in the furniture and headrest and a soiled bedspread, this last one prompted my travel companion to complain to the reception. They took note but when we got back to the room instead of changing the bedspreads, the cleaning staff removed them. Minimum cleaning and no supervision is happening here....This is an unfortunate example of how a good location, professional reception staff and other “pluses” are eclipsed by lack of cleaning and attention to detail.

I was very happy with my choice of hotel being so close to the subway, restaurants, Wall Street and Brooklyn place.
Lovely hotel. Tallest holiday inn in the world. Really fast lifts.
We had breakfast in the restaurant which was really delicious. Kids eat free from the kids menu.
We also had dinner in the Asian restaurant twice which was sumptuous as well.
Our room was on the 5th floor right next to the laundry. Having booked for 8 nights we really needed this facility. Reception was very happy to give us quarters for the washing machines, the dryers are free.
We enjoyed our cafe lattes and donuts from the Dunkin donuts across the road.
Overall a very pleasant stay. Would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends.

For us, Lower Manhattan was the best choice of location. We were on the 40th floor in room 4001, having views across the Hudson to New Jersey City as well as a window framing the One World Tower and 9/11 Memorial. We did not experience significant delays waiting for the lift/ elevator as some have reported. Sometimes ‘going up to go down’ was the way to go. Never experienced waits for breakfast which set us up for the day. Had evening meals there on some evenings - the orange chicken was amazing. There is a great pizza place next door and often took slices to the room (as did many guests judging by people carrying pizza boxes)!
We chose to travel by Uber (about $40 to Central Park; $35 to Midtown locations; $80 back from a Broadway show at a busy time and $85 to JFK using an Uber comfort).
Plenty of subway stations nearby for those on a budget.
If you want a special meal, Morton’s the steakhouse is 100 yards up Washington Street (budget $250 for 2 including wine and 20% tip - the service was outstanding!) Also a Starbucks nearby if you want a lactose free coffee.
Two good shopping malls nearby including the Oculus.
Service at the hotel was superb - promptly delivered extra coffee, fresh towels or emptied bins on request. Room serviced every other day.
A quieter location but felt absolutely safe at all times of day or night. Would be more than happy to recommend without reservation. We’ll be back!!

The Holiday Inn Manhattan offers a great Location - right in the heart of the financial district right next to the 911 sites and with great subway access. Like most of NYC it offers small Rooms but for a family of three it was okay. Only major negative - a squeeky door on the bathroom which was reported but not fixed. Reasonably priced also.

I don’t know to be honest
The windows in my room did not open.
There were no extra charges. Only $150 security deposit held for the duration of your stay.
Not sure, but that information is usually on their website. Most are 21, but there are a couple hotel chains that are 18.
All the smokers stood outside the hotel doors. There didn’t appear to be a designated area.
