Perfect location to visit time square and see broadway shows . Close to great restaurants. Clean comfortable rooms. Friendly helpful staff. Knowledgeable about great local places to eat and visit. Great views from top floors.
My family and I stayed in Hyatt Centric Times Square New York for 4 nights. The best part of the hotel is the location and the worst part is the hospitality. No matter how busy the hotel is, you expect the staff to be courteous, but that was not the case here as I found them rude and ill mannered. Apart from that everything else was alright.
Stayed in three hotels during our recent trip and this was by far the worst. Unfriendly/ bordering on rude reception staff. Very noisy hotel so had to sleep with ear plugs every night. Also the smallest bedroom of the hotels we stayed in. Also hidden charges to stay at this hotel - was presented with a mandatory per-night destination tax to pay on leaving. When questioned about this was told this was for large hotels (but the Hilton I stayed in New York did not charge me this). I was then told it was to stay near Times Square - which if I’d known then I would not have booked here considering the noise levels and smaller room size. Was also not allowed to visit the roof terrace to take photos as I had two teenage children. Apparently you have to book to access the roof terrace and can only visit at 10.30am in the morning. So glad I was charged a destination fee but then wasn’t allowed to visit part of the destination itself! Don’t waste your money here - book somewhere a few blocks away (e.g. Hilton) where the rooms are larger and quieter, the staff are polite and courteous and you aren’t stung by a “mandatory” destination fee.…
We enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt Centric Time Square. Staff was very friendly, especially the housekeeping, and made us feel welcomed. We stayed on the 10th floor. The room was spacious enough and had queen beds, unlike many other hotels in the area. It was super quiet on the 10th floor. Excellent location- right next to Times Square and walkable distance to subways that we used most (42nd st & Rockefeller). Lots of restaurants and pubs nearby. Agree with other reviews- breakfast is ridiculously expensive and did not make any sense of that pricing/offering. On the bright side, there is a nice breakfast place/store just 200 feet away :). Having said that, we would definitely stay here again and our overall experience was very good!
Perfect place to be in NYC. Staff is sooo helpul ans sweet ! All around us, all was clean. The room was perfect (3705) with a good vew on time squares. Thank you so much, I RECOMMEND this place. We were there for honeymoon. we felt so loved. THANK YOU.
My stay there was truly perfect! Location is great, as it is within walking distance to many places of interest, theaters, subway station, bus tour stops, stores, restaurants, etc. Staff are extremely helpful and pleasant. I do hope to return to NYC and stay there again.
Shower door would not close and there was no hot water We had to take ice cold showers. It was miserable. The staff did fix the shower door but both mornings all of us had to take cold showers. They did not do anythig to assist us
we were checked in by Dyana and Ritchie and both were very friendly and made our first day a pleasant one... thank you both hope you can see this and know I really appreciate that the room is very clean and exceeded our expectations
No complaints except for the pricey drinks at the B54 bar. Otherwise excellent location, clean rooms and helpful staff. Rooms air-conditioned. Wifi good. Honestly cannot complain about anything much. Highly recommend this hotel
This was a great hotel. Room and bathroom were large by NYC standards. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Beds and pillows were comfortable, and the hallway was quiet. You do hear some road noise, but we connected our white noise app to their fancy alarm clock/speaker and that eliminated any sound. Great location within Times Square. Starbucks across the street and plenty of food choices nearby. Great rooftop terrace - you need to be 21 but kids can go up at 10:30 each morning to take in the views. Will stay again.
