The Residence Inn Manhattan, Midtown East is a very nice hotel with a great staff: For starters my morning starts with breakfast in an almost fully renovated eating area. What I enjoy from the start are the friendly faces, such as Claudia and Carlos who greets you as you walk in. They are a very instrumental part of the hotel and the way my morning begins whenever I'm there. I'm treated with such respect and courtesy that I never want to stay at other hotels with breakfast included because of them and others. Claudia and Carlos make you feel welcome, such as a home feel vibe! They both always ask if there is anything I need or can get, all I need to do is ask!!! I will start with thanks for adding eggs and bacon to the breakfast menu. The oatmeal has been part of my morning routine. However, I would also love very much if fresh fruits were made available, such as strawberry, raspberries are my favorites, melon, kiwi are my 2nd favorites, watermelon, blackberries and blueberries. I'm fully familiar that some are seasonal! Most of all I would love for those who are reading this to understand how important the staff at the Residence Inn makes my stay so relax and comfortable. Thank you, Claudia and Carlos for your service to the hotel and the community.…
Amazing experience. Confortable hotel. Great location near most iconic NY spots. I would really like to thank Carlos and Claudia for such a great willingness during the breakfast. Thank you for a great experience.
High point of our stay were the breakfasts served every morning and the kindness and cheerfulness of Carlos & Claudia. They both go the extra mile to care and serve the hotel guests with the most cheerful, thoughtful and friendly attitude. Don't miss them on your next visit!
Definitely the best part of this place is the staff, they super friendly and helpful. We stayed for a month and it was a good experience. Breakfast is good. Claudia, Carlos and Sam are the best, always smiling and willing to help. They are really good people and of course employees. Thanks for everything The only "bad" thing is that the place is being refurbished and sometimes the place is noisy, some areas are dusty, and most of the amenities were not available.
Horrible customer service. The water pressure in the shower was essentially nonexistent. However, while showering the water was not draining. By the end of the shower, I was standing in a pool of water which wouldn’t surprise me contained shower water from previous guests. The sink had too much water pressure and splashed water everywhere. The water in the sink also didn’t drain. The shower floor was tile and grout. The grout in the shower also looked filthy. I have used public showers that felt cleaner than this. I asked to switch hotel rooms but was denied my the front desk manager. I was told they wouldn’t change my room since they couldn’t clean it until the next day. It was 1pm and the hotel was not sold out. There was housekeeping still available on e dry floor. I called Marriott customer service and hotel refused to allow me to check out and find another hotel. So if I wanted another room, i would be forced to pay for two rooms as the hotel refused to allow me to get out of the room. The front desk did send engineering to the room. The drain in the shower did work better afterwards but the shower still had no water pressure and nothing was done to fix the water pressure in the sink or the drain in the sink. All I asked was to switch rooms and was completely insulted by the front desk manager. She wanted to argue instead of fixing the problem.…
Stayed in Residence Inn New York for two nights. There is really loud noise outside our window. Originally I thought it was the AC in the room After we turned off the AC, we noticed that the noise is from the window. We were on the 7th floor, and the noise is from something on the ground floor, likely the outside AC unit for the building. Really loud and all through the night.
We stayed for 6 nights. Hotel was clean and partially updated. I think they were working on floor 10, and we were in one of the renovated rooms. Staff was AMAZING. So friendly. Breakfast on the nicer end of Residence Inn breakfasts. Short walk to subway and many key attractions. My only suggestion is that they replace fold out couch with the sofa/trundle bed that the Springhill Suites are putting in. BTW, the sofa bed we had was pretty comfortable, and I am pretty sure it was a queen. Not sure if that would be true of all the sofa beds at the hotel. My son still insisted on sleeping on the floor because he did not want to share a bed with his sister.
The hotel met all expectations, with friendly and helpful staff from the desk to door. We were well looked after during breakfast by Carlos and Claudia especially when my wife was not feeling well. That set us up for the day and made our stay more memorable.
We have stayed her a couple if times now, and we always keep coming back because of the excellent location and great service. All was smooth from an early check in to the great service at breakfast from Carlos and Claudia. Nice atmosphere good rooms and a fair price.
