The hotel's commitment to cleanliness and modern, inviting atmosphere receives commendations, as does the value it provides. BW Soho was an amazing place to stay as a first timer to NYC. The room was clean and kept up nicely. The beds were very comfortable, pillows were good, nice & simple decor. It was a nice room to come back to after a long day of site seeing. No dresser/shelves so we just lived out of our suitcases for the weekend, which was fine but not preferred. There were hooks & hangers, but they were so close together that the clothes hung crookedly. They did have 2 drawers under the bed, but they were small, and they put the safe in one so we really only had one drawer. They also had 2 very small desk drawers I just put some books in for the weekend. But they rolled in/out terribly.
Another tiny hiccup was in the bathroom: the shower door was installed incorrectly so it didn’t fully seal, ever. You would have to hold it closed, and even then, water could still leak out onto the floor. If you didn’t hold it, it would hang open about an inch. Nothing we could do about it, but also didn’t bother us too much, because (and sorry if this is insensitive) we were not the ones whole had to clean the floor up. But the bathroom was clean and well maintained. Lots of shelves & hooks for towels & bathroom things.
The staff was amazing! Jessica, our cleaning person for the weekend, did a wonderful job tidying up the room & giving us fresh sheets & towels. Donte at the front desk is kind & always answered our questions. There was also one other front desk gentleman that I didn’t catch the name of (dirty blond/ light brown hair, glasses, he typically was in a grey quarter zip), who was also very sweet. Hospitality team is wonderful!
Breakfast was good, but towards the end of the morning they stopped stocking it, so I noticed people with less & less options the closer we got to 10am. I also didn’t ever see any kitchen workers restocking, but I assume they did throughout the morning because we would always arrive around 9am and there were still options out (breakfast is from 7-10am).
Some other nice touches was the free coffee & tea in the lobby, good security measures with elevator key card passes, and the front door was monitored by the front desk person, as we had to ring the doorbell to be let in.
Pretty quiet area; the road it’s on wasn’t a main road, but it was close to one. Typical noise level for NYC. The halls are quite echoey so as people began to wake up, we could hear voices, foot steps, and doors slamming. But nothing no a simple sound machine can’t fix.
Overall, I really enjoyed my stay. I would definitely come back here & recommend it to a friend who is trying to find a hotel to stay in. It’s also very close to the Canal st subway entrance, so not too far to walk to get to the subway.

I had an exceptional stay at the Best Western Plus Soho! The location is unbeatable, putting me right in the heart of all the vibrant energy of Soho, with easy access to great restaurants, shops, and subway stations. The hotel itself is modern, clean, and incredibly well-maintained. My room was spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed with all the amenities I needed. Tom and the whole staff went above and beyond, offering warm, professional service that made me feel right at home. I was also impressed by the attention to detail, from the cozy bedding to the high-quality toiletries. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting New York City – it truly exceeded my expectations, and I’ll definitely be back!”

I work in upstate NY and every 6 months or so like to visit the city to recharge and sneak in some R&R.
This was my second time staying at this Best Western due to the great location near lots of great amenities and very affordable price for the area!
I had arrived much earlier than expected (around 10am when check-in is at 3pm) and the manager on duty Kaina was able to check me in early with no issues at all. She even recognized me from my last stay 6 months ago which was really special considering how much foot traffic the hotel must see everyday!
The room was spotless with a smart TV for entertainment and a great high-pressure shower with plenty of clean towels available. Bed was nice and soft and the room had multiple lighting options and great sound insulation from the busy city below.
The staff was kind enough even to keep my bags safe after I checked out when I wanted to grab brunch before returning home. I want to compliment Kiana, Reuben, and the other staff for making me feel welcome and adding some warmth to the big city. I hope to be back in 6 months!

We stayed for 1 night only in our farewell to NY and we wish we stayed longer, or that we had chosen this hotel for our full 5 days stay. The location in Soho is perfect, around the corner there's Chinatown, with lots of yummy places to eat, markets, and liquor shops. Walkable distance from downtown main attractions. The hotel is very cozy, and the staff at reception are so nice. Kaina was so attentive, a very nice human being, and very professional. We stayed in a suite, very spacious, and the bathroom was huge. There were two smart TVs, one in the bedroom, and the other one in a small living room. The microwave was perfect to re-heat the leftovers we brought from a Chinese restaurant. Very comfy beds, and pillows, too. It was a lovely stay, and we loved the coziness of this hotel compared to the other bigger ones we stayed at.

Brand new, small hotel with clean and spacious rooms for NYC. Friendly staff and decent breakfast. Swanky looking rooms with a Scandinavian feel. Beautiful bathrooms.
The hotel is not actually in Soho though - it's just off Canal Street, on the border of Chinatown and Tribeca. Walkable to many attractions in Lower Manhattan, but not the nicest neighborhood (lots of garbage on the streets and homeless people).
I would give this hotel 5 stars, but we had two major issues. The room we stayed in did not allow us to control the temperature and we were VERY HOT at night. A maintenance person adjusted it for us the next day and said that any room ending in 01 (ex: 701) controls the temperature for the entire floor. So anyone in one of these cannot adjust the temperature (there is a lock box over the thermostat). This is a function of the way the hotel was constructed, so there is nothing to be done (apparently). Why on earth would you construct a hotel that way?
The second issue was the sofa bed, where our son slept. It was comfy, but every time he moved it would creak really loudly. That kept us up at night as well.
I wanted to love the hotel but we didn't sleep well due to the temperature and the noisy sofa bed.

November 28, 2023 Good Afternoon Valued Guests, We truly apologize for falling short of expectations, glad you enjoyed the hotel the two pipe system does create a challenge in the hotel during off seasons but we are working towards a solution. As for the sofa bed we just invested in new mattresses for both of our suites, I will make sure we investigate what the issue is and thank you for brining it to our attention. Happy holidays and thank you for your insight and your business. Best Regards, Thomas Carpenter, General Manager gm@bwpsoho.com

Parents and two daughters invaded the shopping district of SoHo. The Best Western Plus SoHo was clean and ample space for the four of us. The included breakfast and the fitness center were added bonuses. We walked out of the hotel and we were near trendy shops in SoHo along Broadway and very close to multiple subway stations. The proximity of the subway stations allowed us quick and easy access to explore the city. We went to the High Line, then took the subway up to Central Park. Then back down to Canal St. The lower Manhattan location was great for exploring off the beaten path adventures like the Old Friend's Photo Booth and the Little Cupcake Bake Shop. We had a quick and wonderful visit.

+ ideal location, close to the Canal-St underground station (div. Regular and express trains stop here), walking is great to explore Soho and the subsequent TriBeCa + all around very attentive and warm staff (for New York anything but the rather often still superficial attitude) - very professional & organized, no matter what you have. + Rooms are furnished in Scandi style (light & with light wood) and laminate floors. Lean & hyggelig equilateral. + We had a larger room (since three) in the 5th floor. Floor (#501), which offered plenty of space. For NYC standards rather medium size. + Luggage storage possible and is even provided and invited back to the reception at the pick-up date of the limo service organized by the hotel for apt. (worthwhile, often know better alternate routes than the cabs). +Top service all around!
- nothing to ✌️

Let me first say that the price/quality is a great deal. You stay in a great location with lots of nice restaurants and metro stops (very) nearby that take you almost anywhere in Manhattan in just 10-25 minutes. But that's definitely not all. The rooms are very new and clean and the breakfast is tasty. Not very high level, but just a good start of the day.
Though best of all is the service. The people at the reception are incredibly friendly and our best contact was definitely with Eugene. What a great guy. He really made our stay. Would 10 out of 10 recommend this place to anyone going to NYC. 👍

Very well located hotel! Large number of metro lines allowing you to go almost everywhere in NY.
The hotel is located between Chinatown and Little Italy, pleasant neighborhoods despite the many street vendors but who are not pushy.
We occupied a queen size room on the 5th floor. Good bedding, equipped bathroom although small. The room is nevertheless a little noisy because it is on the street side, but the noise is mainly on weekends and fatigue helps to no longer hear it.
The staff is pleasant and smiling. In the lobby we have access to a free coffee and water machine which is nice.
Breakfast included, not negligible in NY, but not enough to make sandwiches for the day, but the hot waffles every morning for breakfast are a real plus.
I recommend this hotel!
