Visited 24-27 February with my 18 year old daughter to celebrate her Birthday. We could’ve booked a cheaper hotel but knew the Hard Rock brand has a high standard so expected this on our visit.
On arrival there wasn’t anyone to greet us or take our luggage for us, however arrived around midday and expected to drop our luggage and go and sightsee until our room was available. Was surprised that it was ready, was great to get in our room and shower before going out. Room was nicer and bigger than expected, the shower was perfect. Toiletries smelt delightful and didn’t even use what we took! Safe in wardrobe was easy to use, took a while to get the coffee machine to work but was a great addition to the room once working. Location was ideal for us, close to Rockefeller Centre and Times Square and many subway stations. On our first night was woken by the smoke alarm, was frustrating as been awake 25 hours due to travelling etc. thankfully was just a blip and didn’t go off again during our stay. The maid always left our room spotless and refilled water and coffee pods, definitely worth leaving a tip. Visited the Rooftop Bar just the once as under 21’s are not allowed in after 5pm, was a shame as a lovely bar and happy hour, lovely friendly bar tenders.
Little Italy Pizza Shop is only a couple of doors away, we loved the pizza and nothing at home has hit the spot since returning home!
We checked out in the morning and left our luggage with the bell boy, arrived back late afternoon and they couldn’t do enough for us. Hailed us a cab and placed our luggage in the boot. Had a nice stay and looking to return.
Only downside is, I’m still waiting for the deposit to be returned 15 days after I’ve returned home. I haven’t got an issue paying the deposit but not sure why it takes so long, especially as paid on a debit card!

This was hands down the BEST experience I’ve ever had in a hotel! Every single employee I encountered was beyond kind and helpful. I literally cannot recommend this hotel enough. The food at sessions was sooooooo good! Milton from breakfast was so nice and attentive! He went out of his way to make sure I had everything I wanted and needed. And the beds! Omg the beds! It’s like sleeping on a cloud. Inside the rooms were clean and spacious and QUIET! The few days I was here I didn’t hear anyone in the hallway or our neighbors on either side.
If you wanted to be treated like royalty this is the place for you!

Surprisingly good value for such a central location - I chose this hotel due to a combination of prior experience at Hard Rocks elsewhere, a competitive price point vs. other hotels in the vicinity and a need to be close to Broadway so I could easily walk back between shows. While the entrance is slightly unconventional (check in is either up the stairs or lifts on the second floor) there are doormen and concierge to direct you on arrival. The room itself was immaculate and well sound-proofed - I was on the 16th floor and only the sirens made it through the windows. If you like rock memorabilia, there is something on each floor and the souvenir plectrum is a neat touch. Would choose again on my next visit from the UK.

Hotel staff is excellent! Everyone was accommodating and gracious. One of the few hotels around the world where the room was made up before we returned after touring the city each and every day! We are of an age where we like to run around the city and come back for a long siesta prior to dinner. We returned on average between 1100 and 1300 and the staff had the room ready each day without fail. My biggest complaint is the restaurant offerings. I realize Manhattan is expensive but the hotel matched the cost of all the other downtown restaurants without delivering on quality. One day we stayed in after being caught in a thunderstorm and ordered room service. I ordered a hamburger advertised as a double patty with cheese. The one thing a Hard Rock should be able to deliver is a delicious burger! This is what they are known for…. Eating my burger I ran out of meat before I finished and was left with excessive bun. Sad.

We stayed here a few weeks ago for 5 nights and it was in a great location right on Time Square, clean, friendly staff, nice room although a bit on the small side so definitely not for a longer stay, comfortable bed, and the best shower I've had in ages! I absolutely loved that shower with its adjustable head that created a fluffy stream that was so relaxing after all the walking we did.
When we went down for breakfast on our first day, we were shocked at how small the orange juice was and how expensive it was! I had avocado on toast, which tasted odd so ended up having just the orange juice, my partner had scrambled egg on toast and said it was just ok. The toast was more like warm bread, so as we both didn't like what we had, we didn't eat here again. I'd recommend eating anywhere else actually as it's way too expensive for what you get. UT47 down the road was delicious so went there instead.
The room was nicely decorated and clean. There was a sliding door to separate the bedroom which was great in reducing noise from the other guests. Nice touch đź‘Ś
Overall the stay was good, and the staff were all lovely. We would stay here again but in a larger room.

I chose this property because my son and nephew LOVE this chain. It was perfectly located in Times Square 1.5 blocks from the tree and had great finds near by like Max Brenner, coffee shops and more.
The lobby/ Sessions was beautifully decorated . Sessions had overly priced food but breakfast was truly delicious and the cocktails were really good.
Rt 60 missed the mark for us, though cool concept , to me, roof tops are special with good views and seasonal flair. Stayed true to Hard Rock brand but not to NYC. Nothing holiday about it and missed opportunity to jazz up the terrace for Christmas. Sessions had cozy domes for that purpose.
The room was as expected in NYC , cramped. Limited room to unpack ( double queens). The beds and linens were comfortable and very clean. The bathroom was cramped with no towel hooks but had good very products. Fridge was not working . TV had streaming which was appreciated for the teens.
Our biggest complaint was the room smell ( like dog) secondary was the lack of working elevators.
Overall we did really enjoy it and the kids were very happy. I think that for the value of the price, location and overall vibe of this hotel most guests will find it great for a short trip. If staying longer is opt to spend more for more space.
Note I didn't find many kids here. The double room is the only option for four and you can't be on the rooftop with kids past a designated time . For teens it was perfect but for little kids you may find it challenging to travel with stroller / pack and play etc.

We stayed at New York’s Hard Rock Hotel twice in July 2024: for one night upon our arrival to New York City then again for another night after we’d had a couple of days away in Vermont.
The Hard Rock Hotel is a 4 1/2 star hotel and we chose it as a treat. Rooms ranged from $359 to $404 a night. The additional resort fee we had to pay upon checkout was $45 per room per night.
The hotel is centrally located and is close to Times Square and around 10 minutes walk away from the more famous Hard Rock Cafe. we were pleased to see it had secure elevators - you scan your room key before being able to select the floor you want to go to.
We had rooms on the 6th and 26th floors, both offering good views of Times Square. The rooms were compact, clean and modern. The king sized bed had loads of room and was very comfortable.
We had no complaints whatsoever, but a couple of small quibbles: the mood lighting in the rooms was great but we could have done with some additional lights for those times when you need them all on. There was also no iron or ironing board: you are provided with a hand steamer which was powerful but became the bane of our lives as if you weren’t careful it was easier to add creases to your clothes than get them out.
We didn’t have time to visit the restaurant and bar in the hotel, but as we passed through the lobby we heard some of the live music being performed there.
The hotel has a Rock Shop and we popped in to purchase a magnet to join our growing collection of Hard Rock Cafe and Hotel magnets, which are based on the chain’s famous logo. The Hotel versions are purple but sadly (and unusually) they didn’t stock them, so we left empty handed.
This is a welcoming hotel; all the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The Hard Rock Hotel opened in New York in April 2022 and its newness is still there. We highly recommend a visit if you’re ever staying in New York City and the hotel is within your budget.

Like many hotels across America, the Hard Rock Hotel charges a “resort fee” or as they are now being called, a Deatination Fee. Hotels can claim this is for the WiFi you use, the coffee in your room, access to the gym facilities etc. Really it is just another tourist tax, an up charge to increase the cost of your visit, without it being quoted in the room price. We try to avoid hotels with these fees and while it can be a challenge, they do exist and often promote themselves as such.

We booked this hotel as a pre-cruise hotel for our cruise to Canada on the NCL Joy. Our cruise was delayed for 24 hours by the hurricane, so a 1 night stay turned into 2 nights. The Hard Rock is very new and very beautiful. I had originally booked a studio suite, but we were upgraded to a Platinum Suite. The Platinum Suite was spectacular with an entry hall, powder room, dining room and living room and separate bedroom with a massive bathroom with huge walk-in shower and separate tub and two sinks. WOW! This hotel is so close to Times Square that you can see Times Square from your window, but there is no noise from the street below. The staff was enthusiastic and helpful. The concierge suggested some great restaurants that were close by and we really enjoyed our 2-night stay!

Gorgeous hotel in a great area. All aspects of the hotel is clean and well maintained. However this hotel is NOT family friendly! We were travelling with our two teens and would have liked to come back to the hotel at night after hectic days and had a drink and chilled out… especially on the rooftop! But no children allowed only between 4-6pm! Nowhere for us to have a drink at night as a family! Housekeeping continually came to our room at 5pm, majority of the time when we had returned to shower and change for dinner and they would ask us to wait in the corridor, really not convenient, why were they not coming in a morning when we were out! The room was booked for 4 people, we had 2 of everything…. 2 robes, 2 towels, 2 wash cloths, 2 coffees, 2 cups and 4 coat hangers! There is absolutely no where to store your luggage, we had 4 suitcases on the floor and has to step over them constantly! And we had an awful view out of our window of a building site. We booked through a travel agent who told us we had breakfast for 2 included in the price, the hotel however said none of us were entitled to breakfast when we arrived!! We were flying back to the UK and leaving the hotel at 3pm, I asked if we could possibly pay for a late checkout (checkout is at 12pm) and they said yes I could for £250!!! £250 for 3 hours!!!! This holiday was booked 12 months in advance and we were all very excited about staying at the hard rock hotel, which had cost us a LOT of money… we were very deflated and extremely underwhelmed! A lot of money to see the lobby, reception and our room!!!!

My partner and I recently stayed at this hotel for 6 nights in a superior king size room. This hotel is in a fantastic location and we upgraded to a city room for $50 which provided us with the views of Times Square steps. The room was nice and clean with a very comfortable bed.
However, from the moment your hotel experience starts it feels somewhat like a money making scheme. Yes I understand it’s a business but this takes it to another level. For instance, we spent $3200 on the room and they then said we had to pay another $600 for the deposit. This wasn’t made clear in the initial booking or at the check in desk when they took $3800 from the card without saying. What if we didn’t have the money for this, would we have been turned away? Further to this, there is a compulsory $40 dollar fee per day which is added to your account, it’s okay though $20 is for credit which cannot be rolled over so has to be spent on the hotel each day. Not only this, the room service is ridiculous. My partner and I would generally use room service however, there is a $5 dollar set up fee, 18% gratuity fee and that’s before you’ve even ordered or purchased anything. This was somewhat disappointing and meant we often just brought food to the room where required.
All in all, a nice hotel with some nice staff and attractions. But the above $$$$ issues makes it a no for me in the future.

I’m not sure of the make, it’s kept in a drawer so was able to use at the table. Better than I was expecting , my daughter and I have long hair and found it quite good and glad saved room in our suitcases not taking ours 🤣.
There are more places to choose from in the New York City area.
