So when I read the previous reviews I was horrified and we almost didn’t stay. HOWEVER we did stay and I’m so glad we did. The rooms are spacious and the beds very comfortable. Our room wasn’t at all cold however there should be a duvet/blanket rather than just a sheet, especially in winter. The heating/aircon system is loud and seems to come on when it wants but honestly it’s not that bad, it didn’t wake us up in the night. We also had a fantastic view. Any issues reception are really friendly and helpful. The room was really clean and so was the bathroom. All the lifts were working and the fitness centre was excellent. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would 100% stay here again. The location is fantastic, there’s a subway station right outside and the hotel is in a safe spot. The hotel is really good value for money and I would recommend people to stay but keep an open mind. No it’s not luxury but that’s why the price is so reasonable.

I think I'll start with the negatives and then you can draw your own conclusions!

My friend and I booked this trip to New York, our second together, in October 2019. The hotel was marketed as brand new and was not even opened when we booked, so all the marketing photos made it look fab. The hotel was formerly a Club Quarters and upon arrival it was clear the only thing that had changed was the name, even in the lobby the Club Quarters logo was embossed on the floor.
Here's my list of gripes:
Only 2 of the elevators worked and for most of our trip the middle elevator announced the completely wrong floor, this took us a while to realise.
The room looked like the photos but it was basic! There was no cupboard, just 2 hanging rails with about 8 hangers to share between 2 people. The room was really warm which I had read in a number of previous reviews and the use of the controls were limited, the windy was very heavy to open. There was no safe which I find completely shocking in this day and age. In the bathroom, you had to turn the taps and shower on at least 15 mins before you wanted to use them as the water took AGES to warm up. The plug sockets and mirror were in completely the wrong location for use and practicality reasons, it was all a bit of a mish mash and it would have been useful to have a fridge.
The hallway light shone under our door and we had to put a blanket down every night so it wasn't so bright
On to the positives:
The staff were friendly and attentive and our room was cleaned everyday and some days they left us bottles of water
We had a tea/coffee maker
The tv had plenty of channels although it would have been useful if there was a guide.
The beds were comfy
The hotel was in a great location, closest station was Wall Street and within walking distance was the ferry terminal for Staten Island and the Hudson River, One World Trade and Fulton Street station was only a short walk away
There was a restaurant linked to the hotel so you didn't even have to go outside
They had luggage storage so once we checked out they kept our bags for the day

All in it wasn't terrible but it was pretty basic and I think it was falsely advertised slightly. I've stayed in much better places and I probably wouldn't stay here again. Wouldn't say its what you would expect from the Radisson name.

You get what you pay for, we had 2 rooms and stayed for 5 nights for less than £650 per room. The location is quite good in the middle of downtown with Wall Street and the world trade centre all within a 10 minute walk. There are also multiple subway stops within 5 minutes of the hotel. The area was quite quiet compared to a hotel in the Times Square area.
Our room was fairly well sized compared to any similar priced city hotels around the world. Air con/heating was a bit noisy but nothing excessive and our room had controls in it. The wifi worked pretty well around 80% of the time up on the 16th floor. There is a coffee machine with tea and coffee pots in the room and these were replaced by the maids daily. There is also a microwave and hot water dispenser based on the large lobby seating area.
I’ve seen complaints about the lift but I would describe it as rustic and quite authentic of New York.
Maids cleaned room, made bed, replaced towels and toiletries daily as well.
Hotel could possibly do with a slight updating but considering it was still a homeless hostel until very recently it’s in a decent condition. Some of the 1 star reviews here are laughable to be honest. A similar hotel in Times Square area is around double the price, we checked after seeing some of the bad reviews.
Overall we had a good experience here and the staff were all helpful when we had a query. Would certainly recommend.

On the positive side, the employees were almost universally exceptional. Helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and suffiently staffed that you never had to wait to speak to someone. Our roomed was insufficiently equipped and they were Johnny on the spot, get stuff to us immediately. 12 out of 10 for service.

The room was a suite at a very affordable price for Wall Street. At first glance, it seemed perfect. But no matter what we did with the thermostat over 3 days, we could never get the room warm enough. Perhaps due to the super high ceilings. Also the bedroom was only 12 inches longer than the bed. That shouldn't be a problem except that they put up a 5 inch wide shelf at chest height. Now picture trying to get to the far side of the bed. My legs are seriously bruised.

The bathroom was small but well equipped. Nice shower pressure unless anyone on the floor flushed a toilet. This bears repeating: anytime anyone on the floor flushed a toilet, you lost pressure.

Great value for your dollar. But next time, I might stay in a place that got above 64 degrees.

Dear BeautifulVox, Thank you for staying with us and for your very valuable feedback. We do apologize the heat was not working properly in your room. We will absolutely address this. Please let me know the next time your are visiting because it sounds like you may have been booked into the smallest room in the hotel. I would be glad to upgrade you to one of the over 100 standard rooms that are typically larger than most standard New York rooms. Thank you for your feedback. We use this to improve our services and address issues so other guests do not experience any of these detractors. Sincerely, Paul Viapiano

The hotel is conveniently located, there are metro stations nearby and you can walk to the ferry, Brooklyn Bridge or the WTC area. Do not expect any view because the building across the street is many times higher than the hotel.
The issues started at check-in: first I got a key card which did not open the door. Then they switched me to other room and re-coded the key card just to realize that the second room was occupied. Finally, I got a third room and I could enter it. I was not alone with this issue, another guest was also given 3 different rooms in parallel with me and obviously there was a mismatch between the computer and a paper based room tracking system...
The room was small, luckily I was travelling alone but I would call it a single room, not double. The furniture was really worn, there were stains on the carpet and on the chair as well. The painting was peeling from the doors in big patches.
There were water and ice machines on the corridor but all of them were out of service.
The hotel owner has to invest a significant amount of money to bring this hotel up to 3 star standards.

Arrived on 22nd December. The receptionist at check in was lovely. On the 23rd we had no hot water, the engineer was good and fixed quickly. On the 24th December we had no heating and had to pack all our belongings and move to another room on the next floor. Christmas morning we had no water at all!! There had been a burst pipe and the fire dept had stopped supply of water to the hotel. We requested some bottled water to be able to brush our teeth and have a cold wash! Trying not to let it spoil our trip we went out for the day and were told it should be repaired by teatime. By the time we returned at 5pm the plumber still hadn’t been. We had Christmas meal booked for 7pm but couldn’t even freshen up. Our toilet was now still sat unflushed from the morning and it was simply unhygienic to stay any longer. Most guests were leaving and we had no choice but to find an alternative hotel as there was still no sign of a repair by 7.30! The hotel was unable to issue an immediate refund of the $1400 i’d paid for 7 days and the new hotel was $1700! This impacted on the rest of our stay as the money tied up at the Raddison wasn’t returned until the day before our trip ended. To date they have not responded to my request for a refund of the taxi fare to the new hotel, phone calls ringing round for a hotel nor compensation for the distribution to our trip! They did eventually refund the cost of the first 2 nights but that didn’t make up for the move to a more expensive hotel which I had not accounted for.

The hotel generally was dated and whilst some of the staff went above and beyond - namely Francisco the maintenance supervisor - on check out the staff had no authority to help me with the refund to pay for the hotel we were forced to move to.

I was travelling alone with my 10 year old daughter and at 8pm Christmas Day night we were having to find accommodation on what should have been a trip of a lifetime! We were both shell shocked and upset as well as frightened that I had to fend for myself. They offered no assistance to find us another hotel AT ALL. A very very upsetting experience.

I would highly recommend the Centric Hyatt on Wall Street, they were compassionate when we arrived, the rooms were amazing and the hotel was like a 5 star compared to the Radisson!! Pay the extra and go to the Hyatt.

The hotel has just recently become a Radisson (was a Club Quarters prior). Rooms are not spacious; a standard queen has only one chair, a desk and a very small bathroom. For the price, and if you’re just wanting to sleep, this place is fine. Also, a great restaurant, The Bailey, is attached and provides great food, drinks, and a breakfast buffet. The manager, Gregory Velo, is very receptive to guest issues as he works to bring the hotel to Radisson standards. When issues were mentioned he was very responsive and made note of the issue for immediate resolution. There are subway stations VERY close to hotel. NOTE: The William/Pine station does not operate on weekends (it is located underneath a business building that is not operable on weekends) – use the Wall Street station at Wall/William instead.

This place hardly deserves one star, but…it had a roof, and a bed.

I arrived to a freezing room and an unlit thermostat. Repair changed the batteries. Told me it was down to 55°. It took about 12 hours to get to 68°. I set it at 72.

The church bells kept me awake until about 11:00. Also, if you have plans to sleep late, no way. They start again at 9:00

Another call. Cheap plastic shower hose was cracked. Had to call them twice — I think the first person they sent (who opened the door without knocking) was from housekeeping.

The water pressure was minimal, and the water ranged from tepid to cold. At this price, I expect more than cold showers.

The final night, there was a drunk guy shouting in the next room at 1:00 am, and I needed my ear plugs to sleep.

Outside, on the ledge, decor included refuse and dirt.

I was not comfortable staying here, and having my keys canceled in mid stay didn’t help.

Also, hauling luggage up stairs is not a fun way to enter a hotel.

Arrived at this hotel and given incorrect room that stank of cannabis and you could barely get around the tiny double bed, let alone swing a cat. Proceeded back down to reception armed with evidence of our booked room type , clearly showing photos and stating a room of 32m2 , to which the very surly receptionist just disregarded and said “that is what booking.com have booked for you”. She was an Absolute waste of space. Thankfully, we are not easily fobbed off and were eventually given the correct room after a good 5 or 6 minutes of arguing , much to the dismay of the rather ‘worried’ queue of people that had formed at check in!!
Luckily our room had its climate control unit left on the wall , so we were able to turn the very noisy air conditioner on / off as required and not require the ‘engineer’ to do it as previously mentioned in reviews. However , that’s as good as it got , absolutely filthy carpets (that despite managements claim of numerous deep cleans - haven’t been touched) and dust in the corners that were a lot more than would accrue in the six weeks since the hotel re opened after its stint as a covid homeless shelter. Again, quite lucky compared to others in that we had only one cigarette burn on the furniture and despite the shocking lifts never had to use the stairs , although we did get stuck between floors on one occasion for a couple of minutes.
Lastly , bar and restaurant are still indeed closed and staggeringly though are still advertised as open on a poster as you enter the hotel. Now if that’s not poor management I really don’t know what is!!! If they can’t even take a poster down then don’t expect clean carpets or working lifts anytime soon!

We choice this for its location and being a Radisson we thought it would be a certain standard. Let’s try to be positive first…
Great location
Comfortable bed
Lovely big tv
Friendly maintenance man

However….

No bar, restaurant or any form of drink available - do not believe the photos on their Facebook page, there are no refreshments at all.

Water/ice on each floor not working

Only one lift works and one of the two cars readers is just bare wire.

Carpet and furniture covered in cigarette burns - even the toilet seat. We had two rooms and they were equally as bad.

A/C only able to be changed by the maintenance man and his ladder…. so cold I had goosebumps when it was 90 outside. So noisy it kept waking us up.

Asked for blankets, we’d been given one single sheet. They have no blankets so we were given an empty duvet cover….hmmmm

Hotel is
generally very run down, dirty and poor quality.
It has been used as a homeless hostel during covid and needs serious work doing.

We said this to the staff….it’ll be better next time you come was the reply. No apology, nothing.

It’s a huge shame as the location is excellent.
