Great for what I needed. Hotel was clean and close to my office. The street that it's on is filthy and loaded with suspect characters, but that's a city issue in general. Aside from that it was a nice stay.
Excellent Hotel, Great Location. Matthew at the front desk-great service. Bellman on Monday AM, sorry, do not have his name. Super nice young man. Matthew gave us recommendation for an Italian Restaurant within walking distance. His recommendation nailed it!
Centrally located and very clean. Front desk is friendly and helpful with few exceptions. Breakfast is included but you have to wake up early because there Often long lines. It is an American breakfast and therefore no sweet bakery products.
As a Hyatt goes, I honestly expected better. The hotel is dated and needs an upgrade. Location is great and staff very helpful. The front desk staff were very helpful and did their best to make the room comfortable.
We are still here . Total of 8 night . 5 night stayed here location good but room are not looks like booking.com so small We can not Turn easily in the room. My family and I (4 people) just spent 6 nights in this hotel and regretted to have booked there. When we arrived we found out that they didn't register the reservation we made 4 months ago on Booking.com ! So we couldn't have the room with 2 double beds that we had booked. They said it was a problem with booking.com, but as the client it was not our problem but theirs ! They said there was no room available except a room with one king size bed and one sofa, which was a room for 3 people and not 4 people. And my husband had to sleep on the floor, which was really inacceptable ! The customer service is totally bad in this hotel. In addition to this room issue, we had to ask 3 times to the front desk to send someone to fix the lights in the bathroom because it was broken. It has never been fixed until we left, it's a joke !! I would certainly never recommend this hotel, they're taking advantage of the proximity of Times Square to deliver bad customer services. To avoid at all costs. …
I have always had high expectations when staying at Hyatt properties. Hyatt has a reputation for excellence, which is why it is my hotel of choice. I was so disappointed in the lack of responsiveness by the staff (maybe it's the general malaise of people working today). But my room was across from the elevator (in my request, I did not request near an elevator, and my profile states away from the elevator). Not only was it close to the elevator, but I could also literally open my door and while still in my room push the elevator button. The constant noise of people lingering and waiting for the elevator was maddening; the elevators were so slow that large groups would end up standing and waiting, esp. in the morning, when I was trying to enjoy sleeping in. When I told the front desk of the problem, they were indifferent. I asked for a piece of paper to make a sign to hang on my door to respectfully ask for quiet voices. That request was declined; they stated that security would make sure to patrol--hahaha! That never happened (they would have had to put someone out there 24/7). They said they could not move me, either. Furthermore, there was an emergency water stoppage by the city, so the water was off for 15 HOURS-from 12 am to 3 pm. So not only did I wake up and not shower but there was also no air conditioning. Did I mention it was in the high 90s in the city? Of course, the city was responsible, but again the hotel staff was completely unresponsive. I only was able to partially resolve my complaint of partial point compensation by calling the Hyatt main customer service, as the local staff were indifferent (I had wanted to be comped for the night, but that was declined). Just a very frustrating experience overall. I understand that there are things that the hotel can't control, but they can control their responsiveness and customer service, instead of acting like it was my problem. Breakfast was provided, but I can't comment on it as I am vegan and there weren't many options for me.…
Non functional air conditioner during the heatwave. No repair done during the entire stay. Noise in the bathroom ceiling. Very poor service from the staff. The new shift staff were clueless about the issues and one had start explaining everything again. Made a complaint, no acknowledgement till date. Never going back to Hyatt
Recently stayed at Hyatt Place NYC/Times Square, and my stay was amazing. This hotel is literally in the middle of all the amazing sites I wanted to visit. The hotel staff is helpful and very friendly. The room was very clean and neat. Housekeeping goes above and beyond! I will definitely be staying here again next time I visit NYC!
