We booked a room advertised as having two double beds for our stay, but on arrival we realised the beds were much smaller than standard doubles.. Staff was quite rude and unhelpful in resolving this .
The Hyatt Centric Wall Street has become our company's go-to hotel when traveling to NYC for business. In 2022 we have stayed here on about 7 separate occasions occupying multiple rooms for a week or longer at a time. All of our staff love staying here. Each visit has been consistently enjoyable, with fantastic customer service, clean rooms, and everything in perfect working order. The rooms also have great soundproofing, modern lighting/HVAC, and a huge shower. The rooms are SO spacious for New York City or honestly any hotel in general. We also love that the HVAC isn't the common hotel type that is super noisy. Additionally, Anthony the manager is FANTASTIC! We have really appreciated all of his help, especially when we had to make last minute changes on multiple occasions. We were probably being difficult with some of the changes we needed, but regardless he had a smile on the entire time and took VERY good care of us, ensuring we got exactly what we needed. THANK YOU Anthony!…
Large clean rooms, incredible attentive staff, fair price, and quiet. All very hard to find adjectives for almost every NYC hotel. Great location in the Battery Park/Wall Street area within walking distance to a wonderful selection of dining options and destinations.
Facilities are first rate; room was comfortable but controls for lights, temperature, and TV were not user-friendly. Bar/grill hours were unpredictable (not open at noon, contrary to signage and information from main desk. Bar/grill service was stand-offish, at best.
Very beautiful and clean. Just as I expected and I would definitely visit again. Worth the money. However, my tv was unable to connect to netflix and I couldn’t get help with that. Apart from that it was an amazing experience
We got the rooftop floor and large room, it's not normal in NY because the room is usually small and can't fully open the luggage. The location is perfect, the bus 15 is just right in front of the hotel and also lots of train can be taken within few mins walk.
the front desk was often deserted. check in took forever, staff had limited knowledge about hotel services. not upto the Hyatt standards of service. broken floors in the room and visible lack of maintenance. not going back at this price point.
I got a deal on a suite through my cell phone provider which turned out to be gorgeous. I was very impressed with the suite and there was a parking garage next door that you got a voucher for at the end of your stay to get a reduced price. I've only stayed in NYC one other time, so perhaps I'm misremembering, but the additional taxes/fees seemed very high. In fact, I got charged an additional tax/fee when I checked out (we didn't get breakfast or anything else that would incur additional cost), which I was shocked about - I had thought I paid in full up front. We were very close to a subway station, which was handy and it was a 15 minute walk to the 9/11 museum. On the 17th floor, we mainly had views of other tall buildings in the area. Based on the description of the suite, I had expected that we would be able to use streaming services (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, etc) in the room, but that was not the case - you could stream music from your phone via bluetooth or watch cable. The pillows were not comfortable at all for us - we both prefer a bit more firm pillows and while these were big and fluffy, they had no substance and therefore didn't support your neck. The bed/mattress itself was nice. I'm not sure if we could've asked for firm pillows, but there certainly weren't any in our room. Our first night, someone in another room seemed to be shouting and throwing/banging things around when we were trying to sleep, which was unnerving. The second night, I heard something that sounded either like gunshots or fireworks, though there was nothing in the news about gunshots the next day near us.…
great spot to stay if planning on visiting the lower part of manhattan walking distance to Battery Park, ferry to Statue of Liberty, 9/11 Memorial and southstreet seaport rooms were roomy, staff very accommodating and friendly. Bartenders were great. only negative was the initial room we were given had a strong cigarette smell to it, staff quickly changed rooms- the next room had no odor and was great. ( moved to opposite side of hotel- wonder if it is an issue with ventilation system) walked to Leo's Bagels for great coffee and breakfast in the morning. parking lot is just outside the hotel- parking reasonable, the hotel validates parking so it cost us $35
Wonderful place! We come to NYC pretty often and this is the first place that didn’t disappoint at all. Staff is very helpful and nice, the parking is two separate away. We were close to all attractions that we wanted to be, and it’s very nice at the harbor in the morning, Clean and nice gym, and rooms are pretty comfy. I definitely recommend it and we will be back,
