Hotel Mimosa is a wonderful hotel and I can not recommend it enough. Subway is a short walk away and there are plenty of restaurants near by. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Beware the rooms are very small but well taken care of and clean. Area is quite and easy to get a good night's sleep.

Hotel's Favorite
The owner is very warm and welcoming and treats every guest like a long-time friend. The rest of the staff is excellent as well, always ready to help with recommendations, amenities, directions, or whatever else you may need. The hotel itself is immaculate. The neighborhood outside is very loud but as soon as you enter the lobby you're met with sense of calm and quiet, and this peace is throughout the entire property. The rooms are small but not cramped, clean, and thoughtfully furnished. The bathroom is large, clean, and bright. The shower is hot and has a great shower head. The Manhattan Bridge and train were directly across from our window - you could see them but not hear them. The soundproofing is incredible. Blackout curtains make the room completely dark. The AC works great and is quiet. The bed and bedding was super comfortable in every respect. I have not slept this well in a long time. The hotel is in the heart if Chinatown (but not the tourist area) so you'll get the authentic Chinatown experience and there's plenty of food everywhere. The subway station is a quick 5 minute walk. Little Italy is a quick walk away also. I booked this property based on good reviews and was not disappointed. I will absolutely return to this location for future NYC trips.

It's a great location in Chinatown next to a ton of restaurants and accessible transit. Very nice staff, easy communication, and perhaps most important, the rooms are clean. Too often, NYC hotels have roaches and that was not a concern. Would certainly book again.

Hotel Mimosa was SUCH A GREAT CHOICE for our New York City trip! I, a travel nurse and hubby have stayed in many, many hotels domestically and abroad. Prices start at a couple of hundred per night for modest accommodations in NYC. That is typical NYC. The closer you want to stay in the heart of the Big Apple, the more you can expect to spend. This is why Hotel Mimosa is simply a fantastic find. This place exceeded our expectations and was a smart choice, considering the combination of quality accommodation and service we received. This hotel was the best deal we found in New York City. The check-in experience was seamless. The staff will even hold your baggage if you arrive earlier than check-in time. The room they provided us was VERY clean. The bed and pillows were so comfortable that it was easy to unwind every night after a long day exploring the city- and you will explore! Front desk will give you a list of places to dine, drink, and be merry. We used the kindly provided lists of restaurants within walking distance with great descriptions- making it a cinch for us to decide where to go for our meals. Mimosa is very walkable and centrally located to good, inexpensive food spots and cafes. (It is only a block away from an affordable michelin starred restaurant!). The metro station is a mere five minute walk, with a straight shot to or from JFK airport. The fixtures in our room were well thought out, creating a reasonably spacious bed and bath. Although this hotel is directly in front of the Manhattan Bridge, we could not hear any noise at all from outside and we were able to sleep undisturbed. Hotel Mimosa provides a generous supply of added toiletries for guest convenience and their thoughtfulness did not go unnoticed. We have suffered in other hotels that have provided less while charging us more. There was no in-room fridge or microwave but there is a fridge, microwave, a snack vending machine and an ice machine at the basement level common area. Everyone at the front desk was genuinely friendly and helpful, they even arranged a well-priced cab service to take us back to the airport for our departure. If you have any reservations I would say do not hesitate to book! We enthusiastically recommend Hotel Mimosa, and we have already re-booked with them for our next trip to New York City next month.

I've been staying at this hotel for years when I travel to NYC. I love that it's located away from the touristy area, even a few blocks away from the busy part of Chinatown. The neighborhood is pretty quiet. The subway is not far giving you easy access to the entire city. The rooms are always clean and the staff is extremely welcoming. 12pm checkout is a plus. I'm so happy I found this hotel.

The concierge was really helpful and gave us prepared lists of places to eat and drink in Chinatown and local area (not just Chinese), bathroom and bedroom had everything you could possibly need, and the grand street subway is only a short walk away. We ended up eating and going out nearby because we liked the vibe of the area. Although the hotel is across from the train tracks and not the nicest looking on the outside, we couldn't hear traffic at all and the inside of the hotel is super clean, modern and nicely laid out. They don't offer breakfast but give you a list of nice places to eat within 5mins walk of the hotel which combined with the lower price was fine for us. We will definitely be coming back here the next time we visit NYC, it's hard to find a trustworthy place that's not super expensive!

The hotel was friendly, clean and a great location for access to the lower East side, Chinatown and Little Italy! it is next to the Manhattan bridge but we did not hear any bridge noise or traffic inside the hotel! The staff was great! So helpful and provided a list of interesting places to visit/eat in the Chinatown area. They also let us store our luggage in the open lobby area all day!

Probably one of the best visits to nyc and it had so much to do with location and stay! This hotel is very clean! The representatives at this hotel are very nice and helpful! We got a list of restaurant in the area for all three meals. Very secure, they lock the door to the lobby after a certain time, which I really liked. someone is there checking id to let you back in. Over all I would come back and stay here again!

This is a very nice small hotel in a convenient location in China Town. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was nice with some toiletries provided. The only negative was how the bed was pushed up against the wall on one side. This would not be an issue for solo travel but was not that convenient for a couple. We ended up needing to delay our check out due to an unexpected visit to the local emergency room. When we called, the staff was so kind and accommodating for a late check out. They gave us a chance to rest in the room for a while when we got back before we departed. And they did not charge us any additional fees which was very much appreciated. Would definitely recommend.

Our room was clean and cool in the summer heatwave of New York City. In the bathroom toothbrushes, a razor, shower cap and toothpaste. When we checked in we received a list of local restaurants. We ended up going to four restaurants from the sheets and even ended up recommending a restaurant to my NYC friends. The staff clearly cares about customer service and were very welcoming to me and my boyfriend.
