I just moved to Manhattan from London, and booked to stay at The Concorde for my first 3 weeks in the city, whilst I found my apartment. Moving to any new city can be daunting, but moving to New York is a whole different ballgame! And no matter how good or bad my day was at any point, I actually felt as though I was arriving home every time I arrived back to the hotel. “How was your day?” was the first question I was asked every time by Sandy, and not just as a courtesy… Sandy actually wanted to know how my day had been and how I was. It felt to me that every single one of the staff members at this hotel are here because they love it here. And their love for it only makes you love the hotel as a guest even more. From the moment the front doors are opened for you, through to concierge, your initial accompanied visit to your room, the housekeeping staff, the staff at the restaurant … Everyone is so open, so friendly, and so welcoming. I honestly can’t fault a thing and I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to New York. On top of this, the rooms are spacious (and spotless), the hotel is so well located, there is a gym and business suite onsite, and the restaurant downstairs serves delicious food! 10/10 from me. And a special thanks to Sandy, the housekeeping staff and the staff at the restaurant for being so lovely to me throughout my stay.…
There really aren’t enough nice things to say about this extraordinary hotel! Not only is the location ideal— centrally located near several restaurants, shops, sites of interest, and even a short stroll to Central Park, but also 2 blocks from an (E,M) subway station and 5 short blocks away from an (N,R,W) subway station. This makes getting to the hotel from LGA super simple with a total 35 minute trip on the currently free Q70-SBS LaGuardia Link +Select bus to Roosevelt Av/74 St and then the E subway from Jackson Hts - Roosevelt Av directly to two blocks from the hotel. Don’t miss out on this tip, as it’s a lot easier than you’d think and infinitely cheaper at just under $3 vs anything else you’d do. Entering the hotel is a full sensory experience! You leave the bustling NYC streets and are immediately enveloped into a haven of inspiring music and alluring aromas. The lobby area is cozy and clean, but opens to a spacious and convenient check-in/check-out counter, which is situated immediately across from the elevators. This layout and the super efficient check-in process makes it truly uncomplicated to get in from your journey to the hotel and be in your room in a matter of moments. The elevator requires key cards to access your appropriate floor, which adds to the effect of safety and security. While there are 37 floors in this hotel, the elevators are modern and fast, so it never took too long going up or down. The beauty of the layout or the floors is that there are only 4 suites per floor! It’s so divine to not be disturbed with lots of people running up and down the hallways while you’re enjoying the truly BEAUTIFUL rooms. There are so many options to choose from, but I spent my time in a 28th floor Premier King, which was 325 sq. ft or 30 sq. m of well appointed goodness! I had some critical criteria in my hotel selection for this particular visit and they nailed them all: King Bed (which is not easy for boutique or chain hotels to pull off in real estate challenged Manhattan); a desk for some work; solid free wifi; a large modern TV; huge windows with a spectacular view; couch (leather cushioned window bench in this case) seating; a mini refrigerator; Nespresso; air conditioning, noiseless walls/ceiling and a separate bathtub and shower! The ambiance in the room was stylish and comfortable— you’d easily feel like not leaving, which was the goal! However, when I did journey out for daily adventures, I was truly grateful for the convenient location and ease of transportation— subway, Uber, and walking. On the 4th floor, there was a well appointed business center and a solid gym with cardio and weight machines, free weight dumbbells, towels, water, AND a full bathroom with shower! While I didn’t use it, there was a cute restaurant right off the lobby. Truly you couldn’t ask for anything more or better, but they gave you more anyway! I saved the best for last. The primary reason this will be my GO TO NYC hotel from now on is the incredible staff! Seriously MAJOR kudos to the friendly and helpful staff that were on hand ALL THE TIME to help in any way possible. And they all genuinely cared about the guests. From the second I checked in to every time I walked in/out of the hotel, they remembered me and would take time to chat and see how I was enjoying my stay. When I left, it felt like I was saying goodbye to old friends! So, thank you tremendously Sandy, Kiara, Ivana, and Samuel— this hotel is ONLY as good as you are, and you are awesome! Do yourself a favor— do not pass on this hotel, but do save room for my visits!…
I love staying at the Concorde whenever I’m in the city because I know I’ll be in good hands. Right off the bat, you walk into a beautiful lobby that smells good and has staff ready at your service. They have always been readily to accompany in any way such as holding my bags while I walk around the city or if I needed more toiletries. On top of this, they have a nice security system for the elevator that no other hotel I’ve seen has which makes me feel safer while I’m in the city. Then the rooms are just so clean and wonderful to stay in. The beds are always tidy and very comfortable, the view from your room’s large window is breathtaking, and the bathrooms are sparkling. It’s truly a pleasure to stay at the Concorde and I won’t stay anywhere else!
This hotel, between Lex & Park on 55th is in an ideal location and has been newly renovated. Until a few years ago, it was strictly reserved for British Airlines pilots/staff. It’s a narrow, tall building with great views and only four rooms per floor, maximum. Although amenities are limited, there’s plenty nearby to see and do, including many dining options. The staff was very professional and the rooms were spectacularly clean. The lobby staff were ultra nice as well. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a 2-person stay in midtown east, NYC.
My husband and I were in NYC to celebrate our anniversary. I was so impressed with the ambiance of this lovely hotel! The view from the room was amazing, and the size of the room was impressive for a downtown hotel. Sandy and Kiara at the front desk were so friendly and accommodating during our stay. It was a pleasure to speak with them each evening when we returned from the day’s activities. They were so knowledgeable about the hotel amenities and the events in the area. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and I cannot wait to return!
What a gem of a place we found in the Concorde Hotel! The hotel is quaint and quiet in a perfect location in Manhattan. The rooms were clean, well decorated and very comfortable. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Sandy and Kiara went above and beyond to make sure our stay was memorable! Thanks for making our family vacation a memorable one. We will be back!
Concorde has a great midtown location, walking distance to business meetings, museums, great dining, and shops. The hotel welcomes a varied clientele, young travelers, persons on business, and families, a nice balance of domestic snd international guests. The hotel is clean and modern, the rooms are quiet and spacious, showers are terrific and we have had some great views of the city. The hotel service is first class and without exception staff is courteous, professional, and efficient. Special thanks to Sandy, Nerma, Jessie, and Jacob. Bonsaii, the wine bar/tapas restaurant and breakfast shop off the main lobby is terrific particularly if you’re getting in late or starting early. Enjoy!
The hotel location was perfect for tourists in NYC. You are right in the middle of the action, and within minutes of Central Park and 5th Ave. It's also very close to all major subway lines. The room and bathroom were very big for New York, with the staff very kind and ready to offer help with our questions. The hotel was also very clean and comfortable. There is a really small restaurant on site, which serves tapas style meals- which was very tasty. The only negative was the quite expensive 'resort fee' that was hidden in the small print when I booked. It had to be paid "to use the hotel facilities"- which really are the restaurant (which you must pay to eat at) and the bedrooms (which again we had already paid for). Otherwise- I would recommend the Concorde Hotel, and would consider staying there again.…
We loved our little home for a week! Location is great, the stuff super friendly and helpful, the coffee at the beautiful Terrace of the little restaurant superb, all is very clean, rooms have a good size and enough space to store clothes, the bed is super comfy and the sheets are soft. And the best, it is for Manhatten pretty quiet, we slept well! We will stay here again when we come back to NYC
Great, friendly, and helpful staff. Spotless rooms (even got a free upgrade) and a great location. We were heading out and it was looking like rain, so the doorman offered use of a hotel umbrella. They do a great job of welcoming guests and making you comfortable. The room was large for NYC, bright, modern and clean. Nice bathroom, too. Can't say enough good things. Will definitely stay here again. Oh, and the price was reasonable.
