Nestled in the heart of New York, Radio City Apartments garners acclaim for its superb location, a stone's throw away from Times Square and Broadway, making it a hit with theatergoers and city explorers. While some guests feel the staff could be warmer, the service is notably efficient, with daily room attention. The hotel's charm is attributed to a sense of nostalgia, despite some remarks about the decor feeling dated. Rooms are praised for their space and handy kitchen facilities, and overall, the hotel is celebrated for its cleanliness and value. However, light sleepers should note the potential for noise.

I planned a trip to New York with a couple of friends and we looked for a housing solution that would allow us maximum freedom and autonomy regarding daily meals, a certain privacy for the sleeping area and was close to Times Square and the main subway lines, to be able to comfortably visit Midtown both on foot and by public transport.
In my research Radio City Apartments has proven to fully meet all our needs.
We chose an apartment consisting of a double bedroom, a living room with double sofa bed and kitchenette, a bathroom.

The living room space was sufficient and the table available was adequate to eat in four.
The kitchen was perfectly equipped and the reception immediately met our request to have a larger saucepan not present on our arrival. Given the very high cost of restaurants we had dinner in the apartment 6 nights out of 8, always with excellent results (our friend even managed to prepare a perfect risotto!).

In the bedroom there were two large chests of drawers that allowed all four to find space for their clothes.

The bathroom was quite small, with a bathtub with curtain, windowed but without heating (at the end of September the air was quite cool).

Excellent daily cleaning service, including complete change of towels of excellent quality.

A negative note concerns the soundproofing: the apartment assigned to us (it is not possible to choose the floor and the assignment takes place on the arrival of customers) was on the third floor and being in a busy street the noise of the street and the external air conditioners of all the apartments was always present and rather annoying.

The location is optimal: 5th Avenue, Rockfeller Center, Central Park, MOMA, Times Square and all theaters are within walking distance in 5 or 10 minutes maximum.
The metro station is a 2-minute walk away and 10 minutes away there is a supermarket where you can find everything you need to cook breakfasts, lunches and dinners.

The desk staff is always present and available to meet customer requests.

The price is consistent with the location and services offered.

Definitely recommended for a quiet and extended New York stay.

My wife and I stayed here mid September. The location is excellent. 50 metres from 49th st metro station and a 5 minute walk to Times Square. Upon arrival we were met at the steps by a bus boy who carried our luggage to the check-in desk. We were quickly booked in and given a studio apartment on the 12th floor. The studio was well equipped with a large fridge /freezer, oven with 4 ring hob, microwave, coffee machine, kettle and sufficient cutlery and crockery for two people. My only disappointment was that the cereal bowls were too small. Coffee and toiletries were replaced daily.
The main room had a table and two chairs, a three drawer chest, TV, bedside cabinets, air con, an iron and board.
The bathroom had sufficient towels and toiletries, which were replaced daily. We experienced no problems with the water.
There are 2 elevators which hold around four people with luggage. They can get busy at certain times of day.
There are guest services on the 2nd floor. Which include - computer/printer, ice machine, drinks and snacks machines.
We found the wifi to be very efficient. The front desk staff were very helpful, and check-in and check-out was quick and easy. There are laundry facilities in the basement which are free of charge to guests after 9pm (However, you may have to queue).
We met several guests who said this was their regular hotel when staying in New York and if we come again would not hesitate in returning.
I hope you find this review helpful.

I was here for the first time 22 years ago and came back this year! I had a great stay here. As a solo female traveler, I felt very safe in this hotel. Because of the jet lag I would sometimes wake up at night and go downstairs to smoke a cigarette, the nightguard always kept an eye on things. The staff is super friendly. The rooms are clean and fresh. Have a comfortable bed and plenty of choice of pillows. The cleaner comes every day. The location is excellent within walking distance of Time Square, Rockefeller center, and two metro stations with different lines nearby. My studio had a full kitchen including a large refrigerator, stove, oven, kettle, everything was there! I've never had to wait long for the elevator, never actually. Downstairs in the lobby there are two different newspapers every day that you can take with you for free. I didn't use them myself, but I looked at the front pages every day. There are washing machines in the basement that you can use after Housekeeping has finished and is free of charge. The internet works very well. You sometimes hear some noise in your room from outside, but you are also in New York because I saw this in various reviews and had specially bought earplugs, but I never had to put them in because after a whole day of enjoying the city I felt like a baby. fell asleep. I recommend everyone to book a stay here if you go to New York!

Easy and pleasant check-in at this art deco delight. Commodious apartment comprising of a twin bedroom, well equipped kitchen and bathroom with an efficient shower & tub.
The room was serviced each day and materials for the coffee machine replenished.

Although no breakfast is available, there is a ‘walk thru’ entrance from the lobby to a rather nice pasta restaurant which offers tasty pizzas & pasta dishes at reasonable prices.

The accommodation is situated five minutes from bustling Times Square and only 50 yards from the nearest subway station on 49th St 7th Av. (N, Q, R, W Lines with direct connection to Jamaica for J.F.K.) And a five minute stroll to The Rockefeller Centre and the legendary Radio City Music Hall - another Art Deco gem!

The staff are very polite a accommodating. There is a baggage room for depositing luggage on the day of departure.

Another quirky facet is a postal chute into which stamped mail for posting can be deposited - this falls down to the lobby and is emptied daily! It’s not just a decorative item; it really works!!
To summarise, our next trip to The Big Apple will see us stay here. Do try it, you won’t be disappointed .

Location, location, location! This hotel isn’t The Ritz but it has a fabulous location just a few minutes walk to Time Square. My boys and I stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment and it was perfect for our 5 night NYC visit. The bedrooms are “tight” but functional and having a small kitchen/living room was ideal. Great for cooking up breakfast and bringing dinner in. Our apartment was clean and comfortable.

We had 2 close subway lines to chose from and there is a myriad of dinning options on your door step - Radio City Pizza is next door and they make awesome pizza. Central Park is a 10 min walk away. For basic groceries there is a Supermarket on 8th Ave - 5 min walk plus a CVS (for beer) in the same direction.

The hotel staff were pleasant and always willing to assist if engaged.

If you are looking for a value accommodation option in NYC with a great location I’d recommend this hotel.

Truthfully the expectations I had before traveling were exceeded by the experience. I was amazed. The comfortable facilities, the rooms with the right size for two people with bags. The bathroom excellent, the kitchen equipped with essentials. The kitchen includes a kitchen and oven, microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker.
Every day they cleaned our room and changed our towels.
Complimentary coffee, sachets of powdered milk and sugar. Believe it or not, this is super important because if your stay is short and you have to buy yourself in the super sizes are huge, going out for breakfast every day is a budget. So it seems little but I value this detail.
Very friendly, collaborative and friendly staff.
On the floor we had a drink machine for $1.50 and free ice.
On the doorstep there was a pizzeria of radio city and otherwise a few blocks you month a wide variety of places to eat.
The location is best of all, one block from time square and a few from central park. Most of the things we did were walking but if you don't feel like it, the subway is one step away.
We got a room outside and I thought the noises might bother us but the truth is, the bed was so comfortable and we walked so much in the day that we were dead.
They were beautiful days, I definitely recommend and would choose radio city again.
Thanks for everything!

I booked this hotel almost a year in advance because of the quality/price ratio it seemed to have as well as its ideal location.
It is an old hotel, perfectly maintained and renovated while retaining its "historical" appearance. The decoration is in the same slightly outdated style. BUT this is exactly what makes it charming and authentic.
The welcome and contact by email are very warm and efficient.
I had a room with 2 queen beds and a kitchenette (fridge-freezer, 4-hob gas stove with oven, electric coffee maker, microwave, sufficient kitchen utensils). The bathroom/WC was small but functional.
Everything was EXTREMELY clean. The bedding and linen were of very good quality. It wasn't very big but the space was judiciously occupied and it didn't feel cramped. My (adult) daughter and I had two large suitcases and two backpacks.
Cleaning is done every day, towels are changed.
Everything in this hotel seems designed to make guests feel good. A seemingly crucial detail: there are umbrellas available at reception!
This hotel and the welcome that my daughter and I found there greatly contributed to the success of our 4-night stay (Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday) in New York.

Literally yards from the theatre district and times square, but this came with a price...noise. Single glazed windows and five stories up and I still wanted to put a contract out for Maria Carey and her Christmas soundtrack being played at 180 decibels by the rickshaw riders who apparently charge out a $8 a MINUTE. 2AM and it was still rocking off in the street below. The room was very well appointed and all the needs in the studio kitchen are there. A CVS is a 5 min walk for milk and fruit etc. The staff are not unpleasant which is about the norm for NY hospitality. The attached "Pasta Lovers" restaurant was surprisingly good and so busy it stopped taking reservations after 6pm working on the theatre going throng for its business. I would have a concern in the summer months as there was no AC in the room. An unfortunate issue was that due to security around the holiday crowds the 49 st road was closed to transit and our uber drop off and pick up could not deliver us, so just allow a bit more time and flexibility.

I stayed for 5 nights. I was assigned a room with lots of sunlight and a bathtub, which was better than I expected, so it was great. There is no restaurant, but the Italian restaurant on the first floor is good for dinner, and the sandwich shop next door is good for breakfast. The sandwiches are big, so I put half of them in the fridge for breakfast the next day. It's right in the middle of town, so there are plenty of other options. There are tourists walking around even at night, so it doesn't feel dangerous. The washing machine and dryer on the basement floor are for commercial use. I was amazed at how beautifully they renovated this old hotel!

I stayed at this property for 6 nights and even though the place is old and could use a remodel it seemed to fit my needs and seemed clean enough. The afternoon and evening shift on the front desk were all very friendly, the day shift not so friendly or helpful. Everything was fine until I saw a rat in my room on my last night. They did not offer to change my room, but they did send someone up with traps that they had readily available to look for the rat (which was in hiding and never found). It ruined my whole stay. The guy at the front desk on the morning I checked out would not connect me with management, acted like I was overreacting and that I should be grateful for a 20% discount. If you don't mind rats this is the place for you.
