Located off Cooper Square in one of New York’s most vibrant, artistic neighborhoods, The Standard, East Village is cozy, charming, and eccentric in equal measure—very much in the spirit of its surroundings. You enter the 21-story tower through an original tenement-style building before ascending to unparalleled views of Manhattan. There’s a quiet, calm garden tucked away at street level, the widely acclaimed Narcissa, the bustling Café Standard, and narcbar, your street-side, East-side go-to for everything from after-work drinks to after-hours mischief.

We loved everything about The Standard. The staff was personable, knowledgeable and welcoming. The room was modern & new, with fantastic floor-to-ceiling views. The mattress was super comfy and room was very quiet. The bathroom was efficient with a large shower. Coffee at the

We booked one night at Standard to celebrate my husband's birthday. A couple of days before we arrived, Maggie reached out to welcome us and ask if we were celebrating anything. I gave a few suggestions of things my husband likes and she made it happen in the realest way. We

We stayed at The Standard for four nights on an extended weekend stay. Check in was seamless and we were upgraded to a corner room on the 18th floor. The room was a good size given how small NY hotel rooms are known to be. The room, the view, the bathroom, the linens were all

we spent 3 days here last month. We had breakfast in the cafe. Our order took about 40 minutes to arrive-- we didn't really mind because we were reading the paper and relaxing. But when it DID come our eggs were stone cold and the bacon was burnt to a crisp. We sent the bacon

Not especially. More designed for the hip, progressive crowd. Could be embarrassing as a mom when you have to explain the giant lip-shaped red pillows and the big Red button above the bed. Also -- very small rooms, even by NYC standards.

We stayed in a corner king room on the fifteenth floor and it was perfectly quiet. The panoramic view, while facing west and north, had spectacular southern exposure as well. The staff is impeccable and they anticipate your needs with expedient enthusiasm.

Mommakirby, While this amenity is not yet standard in every room, we understand the commodity of having coffee at your fingertips. We do offer a drip coffee setup by La Colombe in our Downtown Studio category rooms. Don't hesitate to ask our Guest Services team for anything you may need. We will always do our best to accommodate your requests! Best, David Lopez

I'd suggest it. We came back late from a show and tried to get a glass of wine and dessert, but they were full. It's a hopping place.
