I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights as a first time solo traveller to NYC, the hotel is very clean and well presented, the staff that greet you are super friendly and make you feel welcome.

Upon arrival i requested as part of my booking that i paid for a city view room, i was made aware that a room was ready on the 16th floor with a good view but if i was to wait another 30 minutes or so i could have a better room that was due to be ready on the 28th floor, of course i did this and wow!!!!

The rooms are very small but the amount of time you spend in there it is more than adequate. The sink is in the main part of the room which was a little strange but as a solo traveller was not a problem.

You must go up to the roof terrace and see the view from there, the sunrise and sunset form there is unreal and worth paying the extra for this hotel!

The hotel itself is located in a decent area in midtown and easy accessible to the 6 subway line.

As a Brit i struggled with the "resort fees" i still see no reason for these in all honesty, i was made aware you can use a fitness club and citi bike as part of them but never really felt the need, walking 83 miles in 6 days i really don't feel this is justification for the additional £220 on top of the price of the hotel? I feel the least you could do would to put tea and coffee facilites in the room included.

All in all i would defiantly recommend this hotel and if i was ever lucky enough to come back to NYC i would defiantly stay here!

Thank you so much for your thoughtful and detailed review! It truly means the world to us that you chose Arlo NoMad for your first solo trip to NYC — what an exciting adventure! We’re thrilled that you enjoyed the view from the 28th floor and the rooftop terrace — it sounds like you really took in the beauty of the city, especially with that sunrise and sunset! We completely agree, it’s a special sight that’s definitely worth making time for. As for the room size and sink placement, we understand how it may have felt a little unconventional, but we’re glad it worked out for your needs. We always strive to make our rooms as functional as possible, especially in a city where space is a premium! Regarding the resort fees, we do hear your concerns. While we try to offer amenities like the fitness center and Citi Bike as part of the fee, we always welcome feedback on how we can improve the guest experience. We’ll certainly take your comments into consideration and will look into making sure we meet expectations wherever possible, especially with things like in-room amenities. It’s wonderful to hear you’d stay with us again — that’s the ultimate compliment, and we would absolutely love to host you again if you return to NYC! Thanks once again for your kind words and insights, and we hope to welcome you back someday soon. If there’s anything we can do to make your next stay even better, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

Just got back from an amazing stay at the Arlo NoMad. Shoutout to Brianna M at the front desk - she was so kind and amazing, and helped us throughout our stay while always providing excellent customer service!

We stayed in the essential king room and I called about a week before the trip to request a room on a higher floor since we originally wanted a sky view room, but this room type was sold out. However, Arlo was able to fulfill my request which I was very excited about! This room type was perfect for 2 people - very cozy and the bed was super comfy as well! Also, the views were incredible!

This hotel is in the most perfect location - close to the subway, away from the crazy crowds, and super central to many popular attractions which are all within walking distance or a short 2-3 stop subway ride. I have been to NYC many times before & I really preferred the location of Arlo NoMad over any of the hotels I've stayed at in the past.

Overall, we had a wonderful stay and will definitely be staying here again for future trips to NYC!

Me and my partner are recent college grads who traveled together to NYC for the first time for Christmas weekend and spent 5 nights/6 days here at this hotel. We booked the City Queen room and would not have booked anywhere else knowing what we had at this hotel. I have stayed at magnitude of hotels around the world and would confidently say that the Arlo Nomad was one of the more memorable ones. This hotel proved to be the most convenient, clean, and notable hotel within this price range for a number of reasons. The Arlo Nomad is stationed perfectly within a side street that remains quiet both during the day and night, but is a 4 minute walk from a lively and popular area right in the center of manhattan and a 7 minute walk from multiple metro stations that will take you anywhere around NYC. Upon arriving, the Arlo Nomad had our room available several hours earlier than scheduled as we had arrived early and quickly got us into our rooms within 5 minutes. The rooms are extremely chic and clean and have everything you could possibly need in NYC. The rooms contain multiple sources of light to set any type of ambience you'd want. However, the view from our hotel had to be the best of it all. A floor to ceiling window that displayed a beautiful view of other buildings around us and even had the empire state building reflecting off the other apartment glass during the day and while we were sleeping. The rooms have very good curtains for privacy and did not have complaints about hearing guests on either side of the walls in our room despite NYC having small rooms. The bed is extremely comfortable and the bathrooms are very well kept and clean. The cleaning crew always did a great job at cleaning our rooms when we went out and had no worries about our personal belongings. They always left the ambience perfect for when you open your door again after a long day so that you're still shocked about the room you have booked. The hotel contains a rooftop bar that is huge and panoramic with private views of the Rockefeller Center and Empire State building while being open late which we personally enjoyed more being on than going to the top of the Summit Vanderbilt. The Arlo Nomad is stationed right next to some really good restaurants such as "Her Name is Han" and has plenty of nice bars nearby as well. Lastly, we really appreciated the late checkout of 12pm as it allowed us to enjoy our last day that much more by not stressing getting out of the hotel early that morning. They allowed us to leave all our luggage as well until our flight departure while we explored the city one last day. If you're looking for a clean, convenient, chic and overall amazing hotel you should simply book this hotel and resolve all worries about where you will be staying in NYC and instead focus on what you will be doing.

We cannot recommend the Arlo Nomad enough! We stayed here for our anniversary and had such a great experience. The team of Jamilah, Carlos, and Gary made our stay so welcoming & pleasant. They were so helpful & accommodating, and were so attentive to all our needs and questions. What really stood out for us was that after getting our Sky View Queen room on the first day, Jamilah said she could give us a room on a higher floor for the next night. The first room's view was already beautiful, but the view from the room on the higher floor was breathtaking. Her & her team really took the extra step to make our stay special.

The hotel is also located a couple of blocks from K-Town and within walking distance to so many restaurants and cafes. If you want to shop, Madison & Park Ave are right there and Soho is only a quick train ride away. The location isn't in the crowded, loud, touristy areas, but is still close enough to everything that you don't feel secluded. It's the perfect balance.

On the recommendation of a friend, we booked the Arlo Nomad. Had no idea what to expect but we knew it was in a good location.

It was perfectly located! Within easy walking distance of so many of the main attractions, near the subway and close to buses on main routes. It was also near to the bus to and from Newark Airport

And the hotel? The staff were all great! A warm welcome from all and extra care taken of me as I walk with the help of a stick. There are a restaurant and snack bar on site but also a full floor where guests can simply chill out. The rooftop bar provides a stunning panoramic view of the city.

And the room? While it was a tad basic, it was excellent value for the price and location. We slept soundly in the comfy beds and the staff kept the room very clean each day We had almost everything we needed - including a small fridge stocked with water. 'Almost'? I had one tiny issue. A reading light on the bottom bunk would have been welcome as I like to read at night. And that was the *only* quibble!

Thanks to all for a lovely vacation!

The welcome is cold, the young reception staff being more busy laughing among themselves than taking care of customers.
Tiny room, not even room to unfold the suitcase. No bathrobe, no slippers, the TV doesn't work well, it turns off by itself.
It is not possible to dine on the first evening because the restaurant is privatized. I fall back on the roof top, also privatized….. the voucher of $15 per day is therefore useless if you can’t spend it…. I asked to postpone it but no too.
No fitness room in the hotel. You have to walk 10 minutes to access a low-cost gym crowded with people. A horror.
Breakfast is served at the table, very limited choice or you have to pay more. The music is too loud.
To summarize, no sense of service, everything is extra. Small and very noisy room (street, air conditioning, elevator) with an opposite location which requires the shutters to be closed constantly. . A sweet smell of scam at $360 a night….
I really don't understand the good rating on trip advisor.

My boyfriend and I stumbled on this hotel when we unexpectedly found ourselves stuck in NYC due to a canceled flight home. We stayed for the weekend and all of the staff were friendly, efficient and total professionals. The standout was a gentleman named Tislam who really helped us feel welcomed and well taken care of throughout our stay. He was genuinely nice, clear with all of the information and remembered us when we came back for our check-in time and offered to have the bellman bring our bags directly to the room. The option of the late checkout at 3pm was also super helpful and even though it's an additional $75 it was totally worth it to have a room for half the day without paying for an additional full night stay. With an early a.m. departure flight and being able to move around the city without carrying all of our bags, it was totally worth it. Even after checkout, we were able to hold our bags at the hotel to finish enjoying the day before coming back in the evening to grab our luggage and head to the airport. I never take the time to write reviews, but I was honestly just so impressed with the staff, the cleanliness of the room, the comfortable bed and the efficient layout of the room and the hotel, not to mention the location gave us easy access to move around the city from a central location. I am super picky so a good review is rare, but for this hotel I highly recommend it if you're looking for an easy and well-run hotel in the city. Great staff, keep up the good work 👍

The hotel is very nice and everyone at the front desk is super welcoming as soon as you walk in. I stayed in queen sky view room which was nice but I wish the curtains could be pulled back more to get the full view. The bed was okay not super comfy. The room is small and it’s good for a solo trip. I probably wouldn’t stay here again there are definitely better rooms but the hospitality was 10/10. You get a $15 credit for the diner they have and security deposit fee is only $100 for the stay.

Absolutely fantastic stay here, could not recommend this place enough. Stunning reception area and bar area, and rooms really functional, small but that’s what you expect for NYC.
The shower was the best shower we’ve ever had. Perfect after a long day in the city!

Moises the bellman was so welcoming and really went out of his way for us, and was really friendly made us feel right at home. Felt like we’d known him forever and was a really good friend, always went out of his way to remember everybody and chat.
We stayed from 21st of Jan to 25th and the female bar server in the evenings (sorry didn’t catch her name) was also a real credit to this hotel, she was so kind and instantly made us comfortable and was so easy to get along with we had a right laugh and joke with her!
Everyone else was also wonderful and it really is such a great hotel!
Rooms were cleaned everyday to such a high standard and cannot fault that, even got a little birthday treat which is such a nice touch.
All the communal areas like the lounge etc were very clean and great to chill in whilst waiting for taxi or just to chill after a busy day.
Rooftop was beautiful although it wasn’t open for drinks was still able to go up and look over the city which was great and a stunning view, would definately love to see what it’s like when it’s fully open.
Location was great and central to everything too.
We will absolutely be back to this hotel next time we’re in NY and we hope to see the staff again!
Thank you Arlo NoMad you really made our time in NYC amazing!

The Arlo Nomad, nestled on East 31st Street, is an ideal base for exploring the vibrant energy of New York City. As soon as you step into the lobby, you're greeted by a delightful aroma of essential oils diffusing throughout the space. For a quick caffeine fix, the on-site coffee shop offers reasonably priced beverages.

The check-in process was smooth and efficient. To enhance your stay, the Arlo provides complimentary Lyft passes for bike rentals, allowing you to easily navigate the city.

As a thoughtful surprise for my birthday, the hotel had thoughtfully left macarons and canned alcoholic drinks in my room, along with a personalised message. The comfortable bed ensured a restful night's sleep after a day of exploring.

The Arlo Nomad's rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows that offer breathtaking views of the city skyline. Our room boasted a captivating view of the iconic Empire State Building, creating a truly unforgettable experience. The roof terrace is a beautiful place to watch the sunrise over New York.
