Lovely hotel and staff. Fabulous location in Manhatten for the first time tourist. Free drinks on tap were a god send. Wine hour was lovely! Great comfy bed and room was clean and compact (to be expected) Would definitely stay here again if we were to visit NY again.
Small personal touch property in a perfect location. Nice breakfast with wine and cheese at 5.00 PM included in your room rate. Spotless rooms that are small but nicely done and a shower to return for. Alexandria the GM is a gracious hostess that welcomed us like family. Don’t tell too many people or I won’t get a room next time. Delightful.
We needed a place to stay for the night, as we flew in for a concert at Carnegie Hall. The hotel was perfect. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We were able to check in, get ready, go to a nice little wine social hour downstairs before our dinner reservations near by. The hotel is across the street from Carnegie Hall, making it convenient after the show. There are plenty of places to hang out before or after, if that is what you are looking for. The room was clean with counter space in the bathroom, which is always a plus for me. I would definitely stay there again. Thank you for making our experinece nice and easy.
We were so impressed with this hotel. The location is perfect for all your sight seeing in NYC and the service from the employees is above and beyond. They’re so friendly and attentive. The rooms are small but that’s true of most hotels in NYC. It was so well appointed despite its size. There are plug-ins everywhere and there’s a full length mirror next to the desk so that I could do my hair and makeup while my husband was showering. The room was super clean and the bed and bedding were comfortable. There is a ton of drawer space for clothing. When the windows are closed, you can’t really hear the street noise (we were on the 10th floor) and there were only 4 rooms on our floor so it really is a small boutique hotel. Breakfast was simple and carb heavy: muffins, bagels, cereal, pastries, but they have yogurt and some fruit. Hard boiled eggs and cheese would have been a nice and simple addition. All the food was individually wrapped for sanitary purposes. Juices, coffees and teas are available 24/7 and there are snacks available for free at any time. We didn’t get to partake of the wine and cheese hour. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to others.…
The place was super clean and comfy. The location is perfect to everywhere wanna visit. Central Park 4 min on foot, Times squire is like 10 min as well. On the top of that the staff was super friendly and helpful especially Delia. Definitely I’m coming back again.
This is a new hotel (2016) so it is clean, modern and well designed. It is a narrow building of 20 floors with 6 rooms per floor. Good elevator. It is less expensive than most of the hotels in the area. I considered it to be a very good value. The location is right across the street from Carnegie Hall stage door. It is close to subways. Bathrooms are excellent and the bed was very good. The staff were, without exception, friendly, attentive and helpful. For example, they were instrumental in finding a taxi service that took us to Newark Airport early on a Sunday morning. Elijah was especially welcoming and helpful. The manager was often present and always ready to assist. Breakfast was included. Also included was a wine and cheese reception from 5-6 pm daily. Coffee, other drinks and snacks were always available. Of course, being in Manhattan, the rooms are small. These rooms are typical for hotels in Manhattan, including rooms at bigger hotels that can be much more expensive. If I have to stay in Manhattan again, I would consider no other options but the Carnegie Hotel.…
The hotel have small but modern clean room with super comfy bed!!! The location is great s block from the yellow line and 3 blocks from the blue which will connect you to JFK. The price should be no more than 300 USD per night. The lobby is very small and serves also as breakfast area. Breakfast is not breakfast - just kook at it as a snake to go before you’ll eat outside. With basic coffee machines, yogurt and some bread. The king size rooms are better since facing the front. The queen ones facing the yard which has less light and annoying ac noise
We flip flopped, booked and than cancelled other hotels. We kept coming back to check reviews to see if any real negatives came up. We ended up sticking with the Carnegie and I am so glad we did. The location was absolutely ideal, many places to walk to, and many subways options close by as well. The room was (expectedly) small, but super efficient. Lots of storage, wonderful bathroom and the most comfortable bed ever. Everything was spotless. The staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't always take advantage of the breakfast, but it was nice knowing it was available. We knew ahead of time about the resort fee, and factored the full cost into our final decision. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Zero regrets.
We had a wonderful stay here. We were in town to attend a concert at Carnegie Hall and this hotel met all our expectations. It is a smaller hotel right across the street from the concert hall. We were greeted with friendly, efficient service at check in. The rate we booked online was exactly what we were quoted at check in. We saw no hidden fees, everything was as we expected. We opted for a King bed and I'm glad we did. We thought it was the best bed we ever had in a hotel. So restful. The room was decorated in a contemporary style and very clean and inviting. The bathroom was beautiful. Yes, the room was a little small, but that's to be expected in NYC. We did not feel cramped at all. The designer of the room packed more storage space in that place than we have ever seen even in very large rooms. The continental breakfast is sufficient enough to get you through the morning. We enjoyed it very much, especially the coffee maker with so many selections. We were able to take in the complementary wine and cheese hour one night and it was delightful. I thought the hostess did a great job. We can't wait to go back and stay here again. Thanks for a very memorable experience in the city. …
Lovely hotel, small but suitable room for one person. Nice and clean, with all the right amenities. Polite and helpful staff. Great location, close to Central Park and Times Square. What's supplied at breakfast can only loosely be described as breakfast. I travel a lot (weekly) and use hotels.com for booking. Never have I had additional fees being charged at check-out. Beware of the tax plus $25 per night service charge (not sure what it's for, if it was to make my bed once a day, I'd have opted out!). This additional charge left a bad taste, should be included in the booking price.
