Clean, modern rooms and facilities. Size of room was larger than we expected for Manhattan. Friendly and welcoming staff. Bar area felt very relaxed after a busy day of sight seeing, children were welcome. Good location. About 15 minutes walk to Times Square.
This is a great hotel in midtown. I stayed for a week in June while visiting an elderly uncle who lived a few blocks away. Staff were all excellent. Front desk friendly and helpful. Housekeeping prompt and professional. Hotel clean and comfortable. A highlight, though, is the evening happy hour with Ricardo behind the bar. He is a gem! We had great fun with him on our first night. He introduced us to some of the regulars and made us feel right at home. Instead of venturing out on other nights, we returned to the EVEN Bar for happy hour cocktails and premium cocktails served up by Ricardo. I will likely be back to NY. I will come back to EVEN Midtown without hesitation! Note that the hotel definitely has a fitness vibe. There's a yoga mat and blocks in the room as well as resistance bands. Nice touch. Great workout room, too, with a variety of free weights and equipment including a couple of Pelotons and a ping pong table. The paddles were quite worn so I was glad I thought ahead and brought my own paddles. (We're avid players.) I also brought my own Peloton shoes. That wasn't necessary since the clips didn't match my Peloton bike and they had universal straps on the pedals.…
Booked this hotel because of its proximity to Grand Central and because it is in a quieter location, which is true. The entrance is on 44th Street and the lobby is on the 2nd floor - well marked, no confusion. The check in was super - very friendly, efficient, welcoming. Awesome. The room itself was great - roomy with a king bed which was incredibly comfortable, good lighting and good natural light from a window. The floors are bamboo (?) and there is exercise equipment with an app on the TV in case you would like to do that. Also is coffee - yay! and a great spacious bathroom. The entire hotel seems very new and clean. The price of the room comes with a voucher for a cocktail after 5 pm and there is also a veranda overlooking 45th Street where you can enjoy it. I bought a Luke's Lobster roll (yum) and did just that.…
EVEN - Midtown East has been my go to location to stay when I travel to NY for work. It is clean, conveniently located, and some staff are AMAZING. I say some because, I think the bartender RICARDO is the best in Manhattan. He makes a great drink and is friendly, but knows when to allow space for personal conversations. My local friends are now regulars because of RICARDO. Unfortunately, I was at the hotel on a Monday and the bartender was messy, ease dropped, complained and spilt our drink then asked us to pay! Aside from that, the cleaning staff is so kind and efficient. Whether local or visiting I recommend EVEN. If you go to the bar ask for Ricardo. HE is worth the experience. His you mess up your room, please tip. The staff is very kind. Thank you EVEN!
I have stayed here many times over the past two years. It is a great place and I was thrilled to see the restaurant open. The Bartender Ricardo is amazing! The staff is attentive and the place is in the best location.
Midtown east side of Manhattan. Near Grand Central Terminal and within walking distance of the United Nations. Stayed at this location in June 2022. Hotel is very unassuming from an outside glance. Light, airy lobby and hotel bar are located on 2nd floor with adjacent rooftop for dining and cocktails. Front desk personnel were very welcoming, information, efficient and accommodating. Thank you so much, Cassandra! You're a star. My room on the 24th floor was very well appointed, downright cute and pretty comfy; it had an amazing view of the East River. The exercise equipment was pretty convenient to have although the hotel has a pretty decent fitness center, too. Every hotel employee I interacted with was super pleasant and helpful. I've been telling friends and family about this hidden gem. I look forward to future trips/stays at this property.…
Excellent hotel , great location near to Bryant park and grand central station . Staff were very helpful and so polite, great bar area which also has a outside seating are to relax . Gym open 24/7 , basic but got all you’ll require , they also will wash your used gym clothes and return them same day free of charge ! Room was great, 2 double beds for family of 4, plenty of room great shower /bathroom, all was very clean ! Cleaned every day and maid service too, highly recommend this hotel!
My family (two kids 9, 10) stayed here for four nights. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel. The room and all the common areas we visited were spotless. The room made good use of a small space. There were two large drawers (big enough to hold all of our clothes) under the beds, a small wardrobe area and four bins that we used for shoes. The bathroom was a nice size, and the shower was amazing. It had two shower heads, one rainfall and one handheld. Both had great pressure. The toiletries in the bathroom were well stoked, and lasted for our entire stay. We stayed on the 26th floor and had a great view of the Chrysler building. The hotel was only two blocks from Grand Central, which made getting around via the subway very easy. The hotel lobby was nicely air conditioned and smelled nice. We had one minor issue on our first night. The air conditioner in our room wasn’t cooling. The front desk sent an engineer up less than ten minutes after we spoke to them, and he was able to resolve the issue and it worked well the rest of our stay. It was over 90 degrees outside when we were there, so the cool air in our room was a necessity. The hotel has multiple ice machines that include a water dispenser to fill water bottles, which was nice before heading out for the day. There is a bar with an outdoor area on the second floor that had nice views. There is a large workout room, and had some games like ping pong and large Jenna that our kids liked. We would absolutely stay here again.…
Booking a hotel in New York can be overwhelming. This one did not disappoint. The area is easy to walk to from Grand Central Station and so many landmarks including Rockefeller Plaza and so many shops. The pizza at the end of the block called “slice” is fantastic. No seats. Just a corner place with amazing pizza. Try the cafe one block behind the hotel called “The Comfort Diner”. Breakfast was good and had a true New York feel to it. Staff at the hotel were very good. Our room wasn’t quite ready when we arrived so they immediately gave us a free drink each at the bar in the lobby and the room was ready before we finished the drinks. You will be happy if you choose this hotel.
Conveniently located minutes from grand central station, but not in a touristy neighborhood. Nice design and helpful staff. Good if you’re into working out - I was surprised to find a yoga ball, yoga mat and some strengthening ropes in my room. One of few negatives is to have to pay $4 for a crappy machine coffee in the lobby - but the room keurig coffee is free - and the terrace where one can drink coffee or just hang out is nice.
