Booked a one night stay for personal reasons. The area is a great, trendy location full of restaurants. Beware of the homeless population at night, as there are many people sleeping on the street at night time gets closer. Loved the fact that my room didnt have carpet. Comfortable bedding, full sized ironing board, iron, microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker.
We booked this hotel because of the great location. It is very close to the San Diego airport and Harbor Drive. We were not pleased with the cleanliness of the room. Upon entering, we spotted a dead cockroach on the floor. We attempted to turn the TV on, and it did not work. We went downstairs to address the issues, and the front desk was extremely accommodating and apologetic. Maintenance came immediately to address the problems, and the manager offered a room switch which we happily accepted. We loved that the hotel was located just a five minute walk away from Little Italy! We went just a block over and picked up some delicious pizza for dinner. We were not extremely satisfied with the bedding in our room. It was clean, but it was not comfortable and seemed to be worn out. Overall, we are not satisfied with the room for the amount of money that we paid. The room (via Priceline) was $100, the pet fee was $39 and parking in the underground lot was $30 per vehicle. Street parking is available but limited. We have two small children, so we chose to pay extra to park as close to the hotel as possible. Overall, we are very satisfied with the location and staff, but not satisfied with the cleanliness and comfort of this hotel. …
As I said earlier, very nice staff, just a not great hotel. The price is the same as a travelodge or motel 6 which I would have stayed at in the first place if I had seen what it was actually like in the inside of the hotel. Just pretty scetchy hotel in general. Overall not a great experience but very nice staff.
The hosts were very nice and were very fast with assisting us. Just a few things that could’ve been better was more blankets, especially bigger ones since it was cold, maybe security to walk around the floors, and more food options (menu) to look at. Overall, it was a good place to stay at, many options to use (balcony, sinks, internet, TV, air condition/heater).
I have stayed for five nights, and honestly the Porto Vista Hotel has exceeded my expectations. Centrally located in Little Italy, it’s a walk away to anything you need and a very scenic area. Mike at the front desk helped me check in, as well as helped me extend my stay. I have Felt very Well accommodated and very safe with Covid Cleanliness.
