This was my first stay at an omni and we will stay again. From entering the building to checkout and everything in between staff was excellent. If you are going to a baseball game there isn't a better option as the hotel has a bridge that connects to the stadium, with its own entrance and exit. Loved our view, enjoyed the pool and the drinks. The room was good, minor issue with tub. Two recommendations 1. The platelets/stone on the floor of the balcony were all loose so you felt really unstable as every step you heard/felt a crackle so was a little nervous on there 2. the hours of the bartender by the pool. He left at 3!!! So you have to dry off, get dressed and walk all the way to the bar to get a drink then travel back to the 6th floor. Please extend the hours at least till sunset.

Hotel's Favorite
Walk to the ballpark and many eating joints in the gaslamp district. The hotel is well kept and customer service spot on. We loved the fact that we could open the window and have sort of a mini balcony looking out into the harbour. Ample parking in front of the hotel. Loved the bottled water they gave us as well as the drink coupons. Definitely recommend it.

We came to SAN Diego for a ball game at Petco field. The Omni is adjacent with a sky bridge connecting to the Ball park . The hotel is about location also Next to the convention centre. The rooms where ok , we had a room with a adjoining door which are not very sound proof I recommend to ask for a room with out a adjoining door . We were for 3 days the staff is super helpful ,

Great location - on edge of Gaslamp Quarter; across from Padres Stadium (Petco) and convention center. Conveniently the light rail stop is light next to the hotel. The downside is that it is fairly noisy from this as well - it is next to a main railroad and light rail crossing so all day and night you will hear intermittent warning bells every time a train or the light rail goes by. Room on dark side at night. Plenty of light via floor to ceiling windows in daytime. Room has inconveniently placed safe on top shelf in closet so you can’t look in. Room has shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, hairdryer, iron and board, bathrobes, in-room recycle bin, robes, cotton swabs & balls, in-room coffee maker. Tiny pool with limited seating.

We stayed for 9 nights and returned home yesterday, it was a lovely hotel & stay. The only criticism was 1 of the nights the hotel bar shut early and we wanted to come back for a drink, but that was the only negative. Hotel bed was soooooo comfy!!! So soft, you just sink In to it & through the pillows, loved it!! Numerous TV channels on a big wide-screen TV. Beautiful views of petco Park stadium & the gaslamp quarter. Lovely pool with attentive staff. Great places to eat within a very short walking distance. Totally recommend staying here! Especially if you are going to baseball as it is metres away & you have your own entrance and exit to and from the hotel. Room key ID needed to use. A fantastic experience staying at the omni, thank you all. A huge final thank you to the bar staff - Ryan Jesse & Theresa who all made sure we felt very welcome when visiting their bar.

I want to send the biggest thank you to Iliana Juarez, San Shultz and all the staff at the Omni that helped make our wedding day more perfect than we thought possible. They took our vision and did what we did not think could be possible. Every aspect of the event from the coordinating with our outside vendors, making sure there was no stress the day of and simply making it the greatest day of our lives. From the gobo, to Chef Michael and staff for an amazing food experience (not just a meal), to making sure it was an absolutely perfect day and we could not sing the praises of the staff more. Thank you for the best day of our lives and all your hard work, truly above and beyond all our expectations.

The location of the Omni hotel for the convention center or Gaslamp area is perfect. Literally less than 5 min walk to convention center the hotel is across the street from the entrance to the Gaslamp area which is full of great restaurants. The hotel rooms on the other hand were quite tired as the photos show. No water pressure in the shower, rust all over the garbage can in the bathroom and very worn woodwork and chair, which included hairs. Staff was great though and F&B was above average. Great views of the San Diego Padres ball field.

Stayed here at the beginning of August. Hotel is well placed on the bottom edge of the Gaslamp Quarter in SD, connected to the Padres Stadium. Staff were helpful and friendly. We had a 1 bed suite which was really spacious for a family of 4. For us it was a positive novelty being connected to the baseball stadium and brought a lot of great energy with it. We went to a game whilst we were here too. Property is starting to show some signs of wear and a need of an update - probably 20 years since it was built and due an update. Pool deck is a nice feature and has a good set up. Plenty of room and beds for everyone. Service was a bit patchy at the pool. 2 days it closed early for no apparent reason. 1 day it was functioning like full table service which was great but not like that everyday. Practically, being attached to the stadium is a consideration. Padres played at home every day we we there. All the local roads are shut with limited access and fans everywhere including of course the hotel. Didn't bother us a bit but might be more of an issue for some. The Pendry I think is the place to stay in the Gaslamp Quarter - we couldn't get the rooms we needed but having walked past it a few time - looks terrific

Stayed at the Omni last month with my family. During the weekend when the Padres played the Phils. We chose the Omni because of the bridge connecting the hotel with the ballpark. I didn't think the extra expense, to stay this close to the ballpark, was worth it. -The double room is small. -The restroom was outdated and dusty. -The bathroom door was a barn door style which meant it barely covered the opening to the bathroom. +The beds were comfortable, even for an adult and a 13 year old sharing the bed. The pool is too small for this big of a hotel. The pool on Saturday afternoon was not kid friendly. Adults with drinks all over the place IN the pool. On Sunday the vibe changed, more families. But again the pool is too small for a luxury hotel like the Omni. That alone is the reason we will never return to this place. The food scene in the hotel is even worse than the pool. The cafe on the ground floor only opens until 2pm. The service at the bar/restaurant on a Saturday afternoon was awful. One server for about 15 tables. We sat at a table for 10 minutes and no one even asked if we had been helped. We got up and left. The Omni has to do better with their dining options. I'd give their dining options a negative number if I could. I don't think having access to a direct entrance to the ballpark is enough to warrant staying at the Omni again. It was a letdown.
