RIHANNA MADE OUR VISIT GO FROM GOOD TO GREAT!!! She chatted with us, gave us helpful info, and was personable/friendly/kind!!! I can’t put into words how much joy she added to a late night out with my coworkers, where we came back and she took the time to talk with us

Hotel's Favorite
This was our 4th stay at Hotel Indigo for 4 nights. Most of our interaction with the reception staff was with David. He along with the entire staff were always pleasant & willing to answer any questions. We had a very comfortable & spotless room with a view of Petco Park. Breakfast was especially enjoyable because of the great staff including Sergio, Elaine, Mark, Britt, Adrian , Victor ,and Eoghan. We were so happy to see Sergio again . He has always been very welcoming and gracious. The blueberry pancakes were the fluffiest ever, and the avocado toast was another delicious choice. The menu had lots of variety to choose from too. We really enjoyed going up to the 9th floor bar. The best part was seeing Stephanie who is one of the bartenders there. She has the sweetest personality, and we were so glad to see her once again. There is a view of Petco Park, and the big surprise was the spectacular fireworks that evening. We will definitely be returning to San Diego, and we will be looking forward to another wonderful stay at Hotel Indigo. Thank you to all, Peggy & George

My partner and I selected Hotel Indigo for our wedding hotel block as well as to host our day-after brunch. JoAnna was very responsive through the whole experience and helpful in answering every single one of our questions. As we got closer to the event, JoAnna made sure to confirm every detail and connect us with her catering partners to make sure our menu and drink selections would be ready. For our brunch, we reserved the Level 9 rooftop bar and JoAnna, Pisay and Elaine ran the event seamlessly. We didn’t have to worry about anything! It was an uncharacteristically hot and sunny day, so they opened up the conference rooms for our guests to cool down even though we had not originally reserved the space. Elaine was very attentive to all our guests checking in to see if anyone needed a refill or any additional food or drink. Pisey kept the buffet fully stocked the entire time and all the food was delicious! Our guests had a great time enjoying the views of the ballpark and downtown area and this brunch was the perfect way to end our wedding weekend. I would recommend Hotel Indigo to anyone looking to host an event in San Diego.

This was a great spot for us. Walking distance to restaurants, bars and the ball park. The room was spacious with all the comforts of home i.e. air conditioning refrigerator and coffee machine. A special shout out to Yennely(sp) At the front desk who was able to check us in immediately, some three hours before the official check-in time. It was a great help to get our stuff unloaded and get comfortable before going out for the night. This property will be our first choice on any future trips to San Diego. We stayed in a few other IHG properties, but this one is the best so far for amenities inconvenience. Oh and don’t forget to check out the rooftop bar. That’s the view of the ballpark from the deck of the bar

We reserved 2 rooms at the Hotel Indigo last week in order to take in a Padres game with another couple. Had never seen the property before (although we've stayed in the Gaslamp many times) but it's proximity to the ballpark, availability of a "rooftop" bar & the fact that we had some IHG points to spend made made it an obvious choice. We arrived about 3pm and check in took about 30 seconds- keys were already made & we were warmly welcomed by Gloria Gazafy. We carpooled to SD as the valet parking is $55/day. Ridiculous, I know, but that's true of almost anywhere in the Gaslamp District. After dropping our things at our rooms (which were very clean & modernly decorated) we went across the street to Half Door Brewing to catch up with our buddies. Upon returning to the Hotel Indigo, we found that our room keys had both been demagnetized. ACK! That is such a frustrating thing to have happen! I kinda frogmarched down to the lobby in a pissy mood. I was met, again, by the smiling face of Gloria. She took care of the key situation lickety split & turned my lousy mood right around. I really appreciated how she handled it because it's such a frustrating thing, but she was very pleasant & professional and made me feel valued as a guest. A nap then ensued. At 5pm we regathered to check out the Level 9 bar when it opened. It's not literally a rooftop bar (as it's on the 9th floor) but it offers great views of the Gaslamp and Petco Park. Several types of seating areas (couches, high tops, etc) and ever a super cute area for your pups. There was only 1 bartender and she was working hard! The place got very crowded but she did a great job of making delicious cocktails & pouring generous glasses of wine. I'm terribly sorry I didn't get her name. We left to head over to Petco Park after about an hour. During our stay we were contacted by the hotel (ok, their bot) to ensure everything was to our liking. I found them very responsive to questions (what time is breakfast being served?). In the morning we had breakfast at the hotel lobby restaurant & all 4 of us really enjoyed it. The food was cooked exactly as we ordered it. Every staff member we encountered went out of their way to ensure we were enjoying our stay. We'll be seeing you again soon, Gloria!

Got dropped off on a Thursday afternoon a bit early for check-in. They offered early check-in for $45ish(?). I paid it as we had a couple bags with us. (I mean, what are you gonna do, wait around a couple hours?) Ok, the up front staff were nice and pleasant and the lobby was clean and nicely appointed. We got our room rt away. I really can’t say anything bad about the room other than limited view of buildings next door and the construction crews down below. The noise wasn’t a problem if you kept the window closed. The bed, linens and pillows were AMAZING! Probably the best I’ve experienced. There was no trying out a smattering of medium little pillows to pick the most comfortable, these were all good and perfect size-like you’d have at home. The room itself was high-end and nicely appointed with a Keurig style coffee maker and plenty of spots to put your suitcases and a handy closet with nice normal hangers, not those annoying pin-head ones you have to jiggle off and reinsert. Bathroom was excellent with a nice shower, and roomy countertop. I’m giving high marks for room cleanliness, comfort and appearance. Probably the best room I’ve stayed in! Not like the ones where the pictures look good but the room does not, this is exactly what you’d expect from the online pics. I really enjoyed this room. (One more thing, you often se reviews about the staff and service it different places, but in my opinion, if the room and facilities are good and well appointed, you shouldn’t really have to interact with the staff because things are already good) ENJOY YOUR STAY!! As an aside, I’ll throw in a review of the rooftop bar. It opens at 5 and really does have a nice view. Don’t expect any kind of happy hour or discounted drinks, that doesn’t exist here in the Gaslamp/East Village area I’ve seen. I would, however, expect not to pay $12-14 for a well drink or $7 for a bottle of Coors, that is just ridiculous and stupid at 5:30 in the afternoon on a Thursday. We had one then bounced.

All things considered, this is a great little hotel in a convenient part of the city. Service at the bar and restaurant was very poor. And although I was not happy about the mandatory $55/day valet parking, Sam and his coworkers were very attentive and always happy to help. I would stay here again.

We stayed for three nights and enjoyed every minute of it. The staff at the hotel are great! Laid back, friendly, knowledgeable, helpful. Andy and the valet team are the best. They gave great advice, provided excellent service, and we even saw one of the team help a stranded motorist (not a hotel guest) whose car broke down in the middle of the road. The hotel is dog friendly which is cool. And there are good walks nearby even though it is an urban area. Tons of great restaurants nearby too. Rooms are spacious and well appointed.

Well appointed, clean, large room. Good location next to (not quite “in”) the Gaslamp Quarter, which meant we could get to all the sites and locations easily. Hotel felt expensive, but we realised afterwards it clashed with the SF Giants games, so that might have been why.
