I was concerned about staying here based on other reviews. We chose this hotel for the handicap accessibility for one member of our group. The hotel was not bad at all. Our room was clean and the bed was fairly comfortable. Breakfast was almost nonexistent though; cereal, yogurt and cheap honeybuns in a room with tables and chairs stacked in the corner. Overall, it wasn't a great hotel, but better than expected and reasonably priced.
Our non-smoking room had obviously been smoked in. When I inquired about a different room there was not one available. The staff gave me a room deodorizing spray to use - then asked if it was cigarette smoke or "weed". The deodorizing spray was made specifically for weed.....it did NOT work. The room needed to be renovated and an overall deep cleaning! The only pro's were that the pool area was well kept and the air conditioner worked well even on the hottest days.
Staff unprofessional. Maintenance parts, old PTAC unit and others items stacked in customer area. Breakfast selection old and stale. Clothes rack in room missing bolt and rusty. Room was okay, could have been fresher
you can tell that they are working hard to update and make the rooms a lot nicer, my room was freshly painted and new beds. the room was well stocked and included a microwave and a mini fridge, the room was super clean and the AC worked amazingly.
We were riding motorcycles in the rain and cold all day. Best deal! clean, dry, and warm. Good buffet in the same parking lot. Covered parking just for Motorcycles was reel nice. Everyone that worked there was friendly. right on the main road getting out of town, so that was nice for travelers.
This is a good clean quiet place to stay, in Harrison AR, can eat breakfast and swim in the pool if its warm outside, and you can have animals also its great to be able to have your pets with you there.
My wife and I stayed in Room 103 at Days Inn in Harrison, AR, Saturday, May 21st. Apparently the carpet had not been vacuumed in weeks. The sink looked like the cracked soil of a parched creek bed. There was black mold on the ceiling above the tub. The refrigerator is located under the clothes rack leaving basically no room to hang up clothes. Continental breakfast: are you kidding me? Broken coffee machine, fruit loops and frosted flakes, pour your own milk out of a gallon jug that only God knows what kind of creepy crawlers were on it, lite yogurt, honey bun and a muffin. That's it. I have seen only one or two other places worse than this one in all my 60 plus years. Never coming back here and will advise anyone else to go down the street.
The room was clean enough and relatively quiet, heat worked well and beds and bath linens were comfortable. There was only one small bar of soap that we carried between the sink and shower. There were empty soft drink cans on the walkway in front of rooms and on the path to the elevator, when we checked in around 3PM, and still there the next morning when we left at about 10 AM. The elevator needed to be cleaned - you expect some 'dirt' on the floor, but the walls were smeared and obviously needed a good scrubbing. Finally, the 'gentleman' who checked us in was very unwelcoming. Basic comment or two regarding the room, no smile. Not a motel I will stay at again.
We checked in real late on a Thursday into Friday morning and got to our room which was infested with cockroaches and immediately went back to the front desk to request a refund which I still have not received and we left to stay in another hotel
Place was clean. Staff Friendly but, 2 items for breakfast. Muffin or honey bun. No hot items available and no where to sit. Had all chairs on top of table and dirty mop bucket in middle of room. Limited a little on parking due to the vast amount of Semi trucks parked in lot. Very tight trying to leave.
