My boyfriend and I came to Boston for the night and had a fantastic stay here. It is located close to aquarium, Faneuil Hall, the water front and the north end. Thank you Lofti at the front desk at check in, you were so welcoming, generous helpful! You made our stay extra special. We will definitely be back again soon to stay! Thank you! The front lobby was beautiful with Christmas decorations.
I stay in a lot of Hiltons. Two things made the Hilton Boston Downtown Faneuil Hall stand out. First of all the breakfasts were exceptionally good. It was helped by being A La Carte instead of a buffet but it was so good that we unusually had breakfast for three out of our four nights at the hotel. Second was the outstanding service provided by Lead Concierge John. He got us tables at restaurants that were notionally fully booked including the Union Oyster House and North Street Grille. At the Oyster house people were being told that there would be at least an hour’s wait but we were straight in and at our table in a matter of seconds. The North Street Grille had a similar waiting time - for breakfast! At the latter I mentioned that the table had been booked for us by John at the Hilton. The response was “John is great”. He needs to be called out for his exceptional customer service. He even remembered my name including the spelling the second time we spoke. Nuff said.…
Wonderful place, great location and service, 100% recommend it. The amenities are awesome, Ranalda with HGV was great with showing us options for future destination trips. Easy to get to train stations to move around and get to salem and harvard
My flight was canceled (due to weather) so I contacted Hilton Downtown Boston to let them know I couldn’t make the trip. They did not refund me the Friday night which I understand (I called them at 5pm that night when I learned about the flight cancellation), but they also didn’t refund me the Saturday night which is completely unfair and unreasonable. Expedia tried contacting the hotel manager several times (or so they say) but despite those attempts this garbage hotel held up the “no cancelation policy no refund policy” simply pathetic customer service - customer provided more than 24 hr advance notice of room cancelation and they still charge you - be careful with booking at this hotel, show up or you’ll be charged !
The hotel location is excellent. It's located in a historic building in downtown Boston, and it's in an area surrounded by excellent restaurants, shopping, and things to do. The room was beautiful and comfortable, the dining options in the hotel are excellent (food was delicious), and the multilingual staff is without a doubt extremely friendly and helpful. I would like to recognize Mr. Lotfi Mokrane for his kindness, customer service skills, and overall professionalism. He is clearly very skilled at his job, and he is quite an asset to the hotel. He made me and my guest feel right at home, and his personality is outgoing and engaging. Thank you for helping make the hotel stay an excellent and memorable one. I plan to return to this hotel and am looking forward to it.
Recently took my first trip to Boston and wanted a hotel downtown close to everything so we could walk and not need a car. This hotel is in a great location. We were within walking distance to pretty much all the downtown attractions. Felt very safe here also! Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful whenever we asked for something. I will definitely stay here again next time I am in Boston. Thanks to everyone at the hotel for an enjoyable stay!
My husband and I visited Boston for our anniversary at the beginning of November and, overall, we were very pleased with our stay. It was on the pricier end of what we'd usually pay for a hotel room; however, it was our anniversary and we rationalized that its convenient location eliminated the need for a rental car, which would have easily cost us quite a bit in rental fees, insurance, and parking. So, the price worked out well for us. First of all, I want to say the hotel is stunning and quite a jaw dropper upon arrival. It is in a historic art deco skyscraper, which may very well be reason enough to stay here. I loved seeing all the historic touches throughout including vintage phones in the elevator lobbies, old fashioned mail drop, and decorative key-hanging board behind the front desk. From arrival to departure, the staff was great. The front desk was very welcoming, and the bell staff was on it from the moment our Uber arrived. A door person unloaded them from the car and, by the time we were checked in, a bellman had them loaded and ready to deliver to our room. I don't think there was a single way the staff could improved upon their performance. We felt greatly taken care of. The room was not the most up-to-date or lavish, but it was clean, spacious, and suited our needs. We tend to spend more time outside our room than in on vacation. So, just having a comfortable place to rest our heads at night is enough for us. The location was also stellar. It was only about a two-block walk to the wharf. So, visiting the New England Aquarium is a breeze. Fanneuil Hall Marketplace, The Irish Famine Memorial, and other sites are just minutes away on foot. We also easily hiked out to Boston Common and Chinatown from the hotel. Really, there doesn't seem to be too many places you can't get to on foot in downtown Boston. So, unless you plan to go somewhere far out or you have mobility issues, you won't need a rental car if you're staying here. I think my only complaint would be the dining situation. For the price per night, I don't think a free breakfast would be unreasonable. Every booking requires a $20/day "Destination Fee," which includes a $10 credit to use in the hotel dining establishments. However, the main restaurant wasn't exactly our style and the Tradesman coffee house/café was rather bustling and loud at 8 am on Thursday, so we opted to find a quieter café offsite. Therefore, our dining credits went to waste. So, it would be nice to see some new options there. All in all, we would definitely consider staying here again on our next trip to Boston - especially if we snag a good promotional rate again.…
Great location close to the heart of the city, great experience and VERY friendly staff - especially Ranalda with HGV. Room are spacious. Nice coffee and lots of activities to do in and out. Easy public transportation. Great restaurants, museums and shopping.
Fantastic hotel with a friendly staff. Clean rooms and perfect location. Conveniently located to a lot of attractions. Would definitely come back again next time we’re in Boston. Ranalda with HGV was incredibly sweet and helpful.
Location is great - right in downtown Boston with plenty of things to do within walking distance. Hotel smelled AMAZING as soon as you walk in - almost like jasmine. It was enchanting. The room was cozy and comfortable, and the bar was a bit pricey but pleasant to hang out in. I'd book here again.
