The Westin Copley Place in Boston garners praise for its prime location, a hit with guests for its easy access to nearby attractions and conveniences. Visitors are charmed by the inviting atmosphere, often accentuated with live music, and the consistently clean and comfortable environment. While the spacious rooms with modern touches are appreciated, opinions on the hotel's value are mixed due to extra charges for amenities like parking and Wi-Fi. Service quality is generally high, though some guests have encountered sporadic lapses in attention and room readiness.

Beds were amazing, so comfortable. We wanted a Queen room and boy did we get it. Husband, daughter (13) and I were travelling and we had two double beds (no sofa bed!) in the room and so much space. We went for 3 nights.

On arrival, the staff were welcoming, the hotel was clean and accommodation was high spec and luxurious. Rooms fully air conditioned.

Each room has a fridge which we needed to store medication. Staff and the hotel supported this by freezing what we need for travelling with the meds. Room was cleaned thoroughly each day and two bottles of water provided and replaced each day.

We pre paid for breakfast which was menu and order on week days and then buffet Saturday and Sunday. To say this was high quality was an understatement.

Location was superb, there is a lovely supermarket (star market) across road and then lots of restaurants nearby. We were 2 minute walk from subway/metro system that was cheap and efficient. It was fully air conditioned once on the trains which was welcome in 30 plus heat. We used this to get around as well as walking.

Location was great being close to library, Fenway Park and Boston Common. There were a lot of places that were walking distance but the weather being so hot meant we got metro more than walked. We visited the science museum, aquarium and went on whale watch cruise.

This hotel set the bar incredibly high as there literally NOTHING I would change about the experience.

We were also given a $30 voucher for their in house bar/restaurant. On site there is a Starbucks as well.

I stayed at the Westin Copley Place for 4 nights to attend a conference being held in the hotel.

For a large hotel in a central downtown location holding a conference, the check-in process was remarkably quieter than expected. The front desk was fully staffed, and only had to wait behind on person. ID and credit card check was very quick and went to my room immediately afterwards. Access to each floor requires a room key for that floor, so there is some level of security.

My room was standard of a Westin, so fairly traditional. Maybe not the most current Westin style palette, but good enough or me. The room was clean, good size, with a good size bathroom, and reliable Internet speed. I had a room that oversaw the river, but it's quite far away, so not sure how much better it would be compared to other directions.

I used the gym facility which was a good size based on the size of the hotel. Plenty of cardio machines (including two Peloton bikes), weight machines and free weights. It did get busy at times, but never more than 2/3 full.

As an elite member, I did have access to the club lounge. The three mornings I did go in, Irene hosted, and she was always professional and welcoming. Each morning, she would come by and call me by name and ask how my day was going. Even noticed the sunlight was a bit too bright one morning and closed the blinds for me to reduce the glare. She was excellent. I only came by once in evening to look at the evening hors d'oeuvres, and it looked like a variety of Asian foods that looked OK and would've been good enough to fill me up.

During the evenings, I used by $25 credit (included in the daily amenity fee) at Bar 10 where I grabbed dinner and drinks with some friends. I had the lobster roll twice and the Eataly burger once, and I enjoyed them. Almost every nice, we had Alice as hour server, and she had a wonderful Boston charm to her.

I should note the amenity fee food credit could only be applied at Bar 10 and Ingredients, and cannot be used at Fogo de Chao even though the restaurant is in the hotel. As part of the amenity fee, we were also able to get free tickets to visit Trinity Church, which is probably worth taking advantage of too.

Location is convenient. Able to connect to the Prudential Center without needing to step outside. The Boston Public Library next door is worth visiting, as well as Trinity Church. On a nice day, easy walk to the Public Gardens, Boston Commons to the Freedom Trail.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay. Room was fine, club lounge was fairly good, staff were friendly, and hotel is well located. Having paid the conference rate probably helped too, because otherwise, hotels in Boston are surprisingly expensive. I'd definitely consider coming back.

The Westin Copley was a very centrally located hotel. It was in between Fenway park and Quincy Market - both within 30 mins walking distance. Many restaurants including Eataly are within close walking distance of the hotel. As a family of 4 we stood in a studio suite which was larger than any other studio I’ve stayed in. The view of the city was beautiful. Both Andrew and Brandin at the front desk were great and very friendly.
Tip if you do not want to pay for $70 valet a night, you can park at the Copley Mall for about $45 a night - the mall is connected to the hotel. I would definitely stay at the Westin Copley again if I am in Boston.

We had booked the river facing suite for 7 nights and had check-in on 25th Aug. The check-in time at Westin is 1600 hrs !! We arrived at 1445 hrs and were told that room is not ready, would take 30-60 mins more. We waited for 30 mins but since room was still not ready, we gave a US mobile number to the front office, to contact us once room is ready and stepped out. There was NO CALL till 1830 hours & when we came back, to our exasperation the duty manager said that they tried calling and were unable to connect to the US number and hence simply sent an email on Marriott Bonvoy Membership email ID at 1615 hours. When i asked them why couldn't they alternatively call us on the mobile number registered in the same Bonvoy membership, the reply was " The system did not show that up". Whats the point of being a member and having your contact details updated, if the hotel can't access them and use when needed !!!!

When we checked into the room, inspite of the long delay, there were some housekeeping issues like no body wash, water etc. But the house-keeping manager (unfortunately don't recall her name) was OUTSTANDING. She took note of all issues and came with a colleague and ensured quick resolution with a smile.

This hotel is located across from Copley Square in the Back Bay neighborhood of Boston. I was upgraded to a corner room studio suite with a view of the Charles River. The double room also had a sofa bed, a small refrigerator, and coffee and tea service. The hotel is adjacent to the upscale Copley Place shopping mall, which is connected via walkways to the Prudential Center shopping mall and convention center. On the lobby level, there is a restaurant and bar as well as a Starbucks. The hotel is an easy walk from Newbury Street and the Public Garden and is a short T or taxi ride from Logan airport, Fenway Park and downtown Boston. The service offered by the staff was excellent, from check-in until departure. They still offer full housekeeping service, which was discontinued at some chains after the pandemic. Although there are a number of hotels within a four-block radius of this hotel, I’d recommend the Westin for its prime location, comfortable rooms and great service.

This was my 3rd or 4th visit to this hotel, and each visit has gotten progressively more disappointing. Also not the place to be if you get sick. It feels like my room is downgraded with each visit (from floor to view) , which is understandable, bc as a platinum member I probably got an upgrade the first time, and each time after that just got what was available. Still disappointing, but not a big deal. I was feeling sick this trip and was mostly confined to my room, I ordered room service the first night, but by the next day I didn’t want anything on the menu (just needed some comforting soup and was tired of their clam chowder) and I ordered outside food and needed utensils. Room service said it would take 35min to bring utensils. Or needing to heat the outside food ($10 fee and also 30 minute wait). Or the lack of 24 hour room service- I was inside on back to back calls and tried to order lunch and was told no room service available during the day. Then when checking out, the printers were broken, there were mistakes on the bill, I had to rush out so they said they would fix it and email me. But over, just left me feeling not great about the hotel. That said, bed was comfy. Rooms were in decent condition, and most importantly the location is close to our offices. If it were not for the location, I would stay elsewhere, and would not recommend the hotel.

When we checked in, the only words that were uttered by the attendant were “ID, credit card, you’re in room 3024”. He did not tell us about any amenities or even point us in the direction of the elevator. I asked him what restaurants were in the hotel and he told me to go ask the concierge. From what I gathered, there were only two. I don’t know why he couldn’t tell me that.
I assumed there would be a book in the room with wifi instructions, a map of the property, a list of amenities and restaurants, etc. There was not. When I tried to log in to wifi, there was a message that said the cost was $15.95/day. I have no idea what the destination fee is for since the hotel wants to charge for wifi. Since there is no “front desk” button on the phone, I ended up going downstairs and asking the concierge about the wifi. He told me to just log in because it is free for members and I was a member. Why isn’t it free for everyone???
What I did find in my room was a dirty qtip on the floor by a trash can, a dirty glass in the bathroom, old drab bath robes and a rusty can opener in the refrigerator. Clearly, housekeeping is not very thorough and I did not see any modern appointments except for maybe the bathroom door. And don’t expect any extras like slippers, vanity kits or shower caps. The only thing you find in your room is soap.
Don’t expect anything special by being a member. I have been a member for many years and I was stuck next to the housekeeping closet. Perhaps these should be reserved for people booking through third parties and not long time members.
I would stay far away from Ingredients unless you don’t mind that the cashier rubs his bald head with his hand and then handles your food.
There are nicer hotels than this in Boston that charge less. When I answered the survey that the hotel sent me, the only response I received was the canned response of We’re sorry we didn’t meet your expectations. We hope you give us another try. Why would I subject myself to another terrible stay?

The Westin Copley is a very well kept property with nicely appointed rooms and a central location that allows for easy access to many remarkable Boston tourist attractions. Cheap penny pinching management at this hotel cannot even put bottled water in your room - you have to walk down to the concierge desk and request your 2 bottles of water… and only 2 bottles. You have to do this every night. Penny pinching bad management.

We stayed at the Westin Copley for my Birthday. The kids who all go to college in the Boston area came in to town to celebrate with us. The Hotel room was a corner room and it was pricey but very nice and roomy. Housekeeping was great. Check in was easy but the room was not ready early so we walked around Copley which is a great Venue but very expensive fun to walk around and plenty of places to eat. Daymian (I am sue I messed up the spelling) was our Concierge and we contracted him to make dinner reservations for us as we were a party of 5 and it was a Saturday night. He was successful and made a reservation at Earle’s in Copley. Unfortunately when we arrived at Earle’s they did not have a reservation for us and we were disappointed and went back to see Daymian. And he made it right. He went downstairs to Fogo De Chao and they set up a table for us. Fogo De Chao would not recommend extremely expensive, crowded and the food was just okay. We appreciate the fact that Daymian went and made it right and we all ate together because that was all that counted. Daymian also gave us free breakfast for my birthday and drinks at Bar 10 for the Earle’s debacle. He also followed up with Earle’s and Earle’s contacted my wife today and they want to make it right next time we are in Boston. All in all Westin was a good hotel in a good location with even better service exhibited by the extent that Daymian went to make it right for us. Cheers Daymian and Thank you.
