It is in Chinatown. Good proximity to the colleges we visited and tourist attractions. A homeless Guy when we first arrived was acting a bit weird but it didnt bother us. The hotel is in the heart of a major city so it's not anything I haven't seen. We booked here since the trolley was accessible. However, there was service disruption on the green line so we drove to our destinations anyway. I wouldn't suggest coming in late like after 9 pm to the location. I felt safe since key is required to use elevator. The entrance to the hotel is locked after certain time and requires a card key/buzzer from desk. Lobby was nice. Starbucks is downstairs. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was amazing. Valet is $63 and can come and go w/o an addtl charge for day. Drainage in the shower was an issue. It's an older hotel but the rooms are fine. Hotel is clean so I give that 4 stars.. Courteous staff enjoyed my stay. The pool I think is connected and I believe is part of the YMCA. I would call to ask.

If you plan to use public transit in Boston this place is right next to a MTBA station. We took the subway from the airport to the airport, took about 30 minutes, but we also didn't have to wait long for each train. The hotel is comfortable, the bed was comfortable enough, a little hard for my preference, but not too bad. The room was clean and the staff was super friendly. We felt safe and liked the central location, but especially liked it's proximity to the MTBA.

Hi There Yoper, Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are delighted the hotel cleanliness and the staff helped to make your stay great. Being located next to Tufts Medical T stop located on the Silver & Orange lines of the MBTA is a wonderful resource to get around. We hope you enjoyed beautiful Boston and will come on back and see us again.

This location is great! They are off the Tufts Medical Center Orange Line exit. The Green Line is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Chinatown is near by. There's a Starbucks on the street level and valet is $59. Take the SL4 to go to South Station if you're going back to the airport. Checking in was okay. My room wasn't ready because I arrived very early. I was able to leave my suitcase with the hotel until my room was ready. The staff was pleasant and welcoming. There is the Wisteria restaurant and a bar on the property. They have a fitness center and small courtyard. I didn't have the opportunity to, but you can visit the YMCA next door as long as you areas staying at DoubleTree. There is a convenience store right before you get to the elevators. The hotel property was clean and the room was clean. I stayed in a two-bed room and the beds were pretty small, but very comfortable. I loved the big pillows on the bed. The room comes with a small refrigerator and microwave. I'd love to stay here again.

I booked this hotel on Expedia for 160 dollars which to begin with is a pretty steep price for a Tuesday night but I needed it for an emergency. I expect to pay THAT PRICE and when I got there was informed that I would be paying nearly double for hidden fees I was not aware of including one for PARKING when I didn't even drive or park! The front desk girl was rude and snarky and acted like I was some kind of Karen for being logically frustrated that I was being charged double than what I had agreed to including for something I was not using. And then the room was mediocre at best and had possibly the worst mattress and pillows I have ever slept on or didn't sleep on because of how incredibly uncomfortable I was. I am fighting a migraine today from the terrible pillows. I've slept on Target pillows that are better than whatever those are. There was a huge wad of toilet paper in the toilet when I first arrived as well and those same housekeepers were loudly banging on my door around 8am bothering me. The whole experience was possibly one of the worst I've had in a hotel. Terrible service, terrible room, horrifying price. Do NOT stay here.

I am seriously disappointed in the service. I don't want to use RACE as a card but I was not treated the same as everyone else at the bar. This is my first time at the hotel bar and I was going to check in for a 3 Day stay. After the poor service even after giving a tip. I don't recommend eating from them. When I got my food there were sides missing. I asked for the sides and whenever I had a question I got cut off. I decided I wanted to closed my tab and pack up my food myself . The bartender took the food to the back and tossed the food without the sauce in an EXTRA LARGE BOX and EXTRA LARGE BAG. That was a waste of my time and money. SMH I would hate for my room service to come from the same kitchen. I stayed here 5 times before but never ordered room service. I also referred 40+ people from the local conference. Not sure I will be doing that again...

After reading some of the bad reviews I wasn't sure what to expect. However, this hotel was perfect for my price range and it was only for a night. The great thing is, it was better than expected! The room was great and clean and the bed was comfy. The description did not say anything about a fridge or microwave so we weren't expecting that, but there they were. So incase anyone is wondering about that, they do have those in the room. The front desk employees were friendly and accommodating. The bar and the band they have were great. We would have loved to stay another night or two. We'll definitely be back when we head into town for the night. My only suggestion would be to make those delicious cookies with no walnuts. Many people are allergic to nuts. Luckily I am not because it was good! But sadly my husband is so he couldn't enjoy one. Although some might think it's silly I just thought I'd mention it because they do advertise that they have them at check in. Hoping for another stay soon. Thank you Double Tree.

Hotel is in desperate need of updating. Not great room. Now, here's why I'm writing this. I am a gold and asked for a 2 PM checkout. Keep in mind that golds are supposed to get to 3 pm if available. I was told it's normally a $50 charge for 2 PM but since I'm a gold they'll do it for $25. I responded that as a gold, I'm supposed to be given 3PM. The desk clerk responded, 'if available. It's not available'. Me. But you just told me I can get 2 PM for $25. Clerk 'It's available for $25, not for free.' Not just a shabby hotel, it doesn't even honor Hilton status. Do not stay here.

Dear Escape695133, Thank you very much for sharing us your feedback and for being a valued member with us. Late check- outs are subject to availability and we strive to accommodate our guests whenever possible. However due to high demand and limited availability, extra fee may apply to secure the late check out. Although the lobby looks nice enough, this property is a dump. Chose due to Hilton loyalty and proximity to theater district and south station. The rooms are worn and not well maintained. Our first room essentially had no window. Ok, one night stay, NBD. Around 8:30pm my daughter discovered water all over the bathroom floor from a leak above. Things come up; I asked to be relocated and they gave me another room promptly and I appreciated the good service. But the next room didn’t seem to be cleaned well. Hadn’t been vacuumed for sure, I had my doubts if the sheets were clean, and we listened to loud mechanical noises all night. All the front desk staff were lovely but honestly, other than the prompt relocation, there was no other courtesy given. I’m loyal to the Hilton brands but honestly everytime I stay in a doubletree I swear never again. I recommend choosing elsewhere.

Terribly run down hotel room with worn out carpet, broken dresser, mini fridge placed with cords hanging, and worst avocado toast I’ve ever had. The avocado was dark and bruised and served with a marinade tomato. Wanted to throw up. I’ve stayed at many Double Tree hotels in the past but this one was a terrible experience. Checked out early and found another Hilton property elsewhere. Visiting Boston for the first time and chose this hotel for the location. The pictures looked great but not truly accurate. Don’t waste your money or time.
