I stayed here for four nights with my partner back in March and, in typical Four Seasons style, it did not disappoint. I really appreciate details and small gestures when I visit any hotel property, and this hotel was visually and aesthetically stunning.

ROOM: We stayed in the Premier Room, which boasted a huge bathtub overlooking the city and floor to ceiling windows galore. There was a small TV imbedded in the mirror of the bathroom. Too small to really watch anything while in the bath but still nice. The attention to detail was great, with outlets in all the convenient places, a room size that felt intimate without being claustrophobic, and up to date technology that included mood lighting, large TVs with all the fixings, automatic shades, and a tablet that allowed you to book anything from a spa appointment to room service. The staff was extremely kind and were quick in turndown service and overall hospitality. They effortlessly augmented any room service meal adjustments I requested and were more than happy to fetch us whatever we needed. I personally was not a fan of the shampoo and body products they use, but to each his own. I also think they could have placed bubble bath products in the room without having to venture to call down for them, but again, this is a minor grievance.

Services and amenities: The room service options were reasonable and, especially late at night, eclectic enough for my partner and I to find something we would enjoy. The pasta I ordered was excellent (so excellent I think I ordered it 3 times in total) and the desserts were kept cold and tasted great. The presentation was also thoughtful, which I appreciate for a room service meal and definitely makes the 20% gratuity easier to pay. The pool was gorgeous and well-stocked with spa robes and towels everywhere. There were nice lounging chairs and the view from the pool was beautiful. Kickboards and noodles were placed out for anyone to grab at their leisure and, though a bit on the colder side, the pool felt spacious and luxurious with high ceilings and that great view. There was also a handsome bathroom right next to the pool area that was generously stocked (hairbrushes/ makeup wipes/ feminine products/ etc) which again, is a nice touch.

Overall I would say the best thing about this hotel would be the luxurious rooms (especially the bathroom-bathtubs) and spa/pool amenities.

Stayed at the Four Seasons One Dalton mainly to relax and unwind. Boy, was it relaxing! When I arrived, I was immediately impressed with the professionalism and social interactions with the staff. I had an amazing stay and found it incredibly difficult to leave.

Although I have stayed at several luxury hotels previously, this was my first time at a Four Seasons property. The check in process was smooth and the small lobby had a nice waiting area with stairs that led to Zuma (Japanese restaurant).

COVID Precautions: 10/10 job on the Lead with Care program and making customers feel safe while at the hotel. Guests are required to take a temperature screening upon arrival and are even provided a mask/sanitary kit. Everyone is required to wear masks while in public areas.

Guest Room: I was given a spectacular room on a high floor with amazing views of Boston. The room was stocked with amenities and had an idyllic modern feel. You can even order toiletries and amenities via an iPad which is aligned to their modern theme. So cool! Regarding toiletries, the hotel provides Roja, which is a brand I’ve never heard of but seemed really nice. The large TV was an awesome addition, which I watched lots of Shark Tank on! I do wish there is an option to connect to Netflix and Disney Plus.

Service/Hospitality: 9/10. Excellent service from the valet to the front desk to housekeeping and the ad hoc requests. One disappointment was when I asked for lemon wedges via the iPad one time but they never came.

Pool and Fitness Center: During my stay, I used the pool frequently for workouts and it was nirvana. The water temperature was comfortable for lap swims and the complementary Italian water was a luxurious touch. My one gripe is that the pool is small for a grand hotel, so it probably couldn’t have fit more than 2 lap swimmers.
Furthermore, although I didn’t use the fitness center, it had all of the latest equipment and ample treadmills with views of Boston.

Location: The best location in Boston, with a Flour bakery next door! Also walkable to Prudential, shopping areas, and Hynes.

Overall, I had an excellent experience and am currently planning my next stay! The room was so modern and luxurious that I wish I had no checkout date. I would just melt on the bed lol. I'd be further impressed if the hotel used a more known toiletry brand (like L’Occitane or Hermes). The current ones are geared more towards men.
Shoutout to the front desk staff Alain and Dhyiva for a great stay! I’ll be a guest for life.

We had the pleasure of staying with the Four Seasons over Christmas while visiting family and the experience was excellent. This new property is modern and absolutely beautiful. The location is fantastic and we enjoyed last minute Christmas shopping on Newbury Street. Every staff member we encountered was extremely pleasant, professional, helpful and made our stay really quite special. We upgraded to a suite on the 21st floor which was expansive, quiet, clean, and beautiful with stunning views. We were able to order a buche de noel last minute to bring to our family dinner that was as beautiful as it was delicious. We also received several sweet treats during our stay that were absolutely delicious and made for a festive experience. We spent a lot of time relaxing in the room and enjoyed a few fantastic room service meals. We look forward to our next visit!

As of January 2020 Four Seasons One Dalton Place in Boston is an active construction site, and although the hotel has been bringing in guests to stay since May 2019, it remains wholly unprepared to do so. Do not stay here for any reason; stay at the original Four Seasons on Boylston Street (very close by and a properly run hotel).

See the attached photos.

1. Every floor has unfinished rooms. Doors are propped open during the day, and as you walk through the corridor you encounter work crews and raw conditions (see the pictures). Power tools are used in the immediate proximity of your room; construction was active on my floor at 9:30am on Sunday morning.

2. As such, there are utility carts parked in the corridors and debris on the public corridor carpets (see the pictures).

3. A significant portion of the lobby is cordoned off (see pictures). There is no proper bar to have a drink (at night, there is a server holding a tray in a corner, which they have characterized as a "pop-up bar" - do not be fooled). There is no all-day / casual dining restaurant open.

4. There is plywood over some of the exterior windows (see picture). Room windows cannot be opened.

5. The exterior entrance to the restaurant is blocked off with orange pylons (see picture).

6. The desktop electrical outlets are positioned such that a normal MacBook power brick can barely be plugged in without hitting something.

7. The desk lamp is so confusing to operate that you essentially need to unplug it to turn it off. No instruction card (why should a hotel desk lamp need instructions in the first place?).

8. Upon checkin, I was told I was upgraded to a suite. The man who took me to the room entered, saw the room, and told me: Actually this is not a suite. It is a king room on an exclusive floor. (OK....)

9. The hotel actually wrote to me in advance of my stay checking on the timing of arrival and any advance arrangements. Initially, I thought this was great service. But only after I arrived did I realize that the correspondence strategically avoided describing the actual conditions of the hotel so guests could make an informed decision.

If you're thinking of staying here, be sure to understand the actual conditions of this hotel and the tremendous difference between this property and the original Four Seasons on Boston Common (on Boylston St.).

We had a free room upgrade (if available) and when we checked in they said there was no upgraded room available. I went onto the website and it would have let me book the upgrade room as I would standing in front of the check in desk.

We were traveling with a pet and the women at the check in desk asked if we wanted a pet bed and bowls for him which we said yes since we forgot to bring them with us. They never sent them up. We asked again that same night and the women at the desk said they told housekeeping. Again, nothing. The next morning we asked a different person at the desk and they said they would send them up. Again, nothing. We finally just went out to the pet store near by and purchased a pet bed and two bowls.

We sometimes felt like we were second class citizens here. It seemed like some of the staff prioritized people that had a different look then us. We are more casual when we are on vacation compared to others staying at the four seasons but that doesn't mean we should be treated differently. One night we went out late to walk our dog and there was a staff member at the front desk that didn't even acknowledge us at all like he couldn't be bothered with us.

A few other suggestions would be to add more items to the late night dinning menu, update the TV services by allowing someone to use a hdmi source like roku or firetv stick, adding in the ability to purchase movies or watch streaming services. Encore hotel has one of the best setups for this so maybe the four seasons can take a look at there offerings.

We did a short overnight staycation and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. At the time the front lobby was still under construction so the entry was confusing, but for our purposes - a quick and safe pandemic getaway - the experience was perfect.

Our room had sweeping views of the South End and Back Bay. The room was modern, clean and new. Service was very responsive. The hotel had very good COVID safety and cleanliness protocols. We only ordered room service due to the pandemic, and the couple of mistakes were very quickly and apologetically remedied.

The hotel is located right next to the Christian Science Plaza and the Hynes Convention Center / Prudential Plaza. It's a very easy walk from there to the Back Bay, South End, Symphony Hall etc. Note that we were told there is no on-site parking, so we parked across the street in the Prudential Center garage.

This hotel is a welcome addition to Boston and I suspect that after the pandemic we will frequent it regularly when we are in the area for evening events.

My wife and I came into the hotel after a long day of travel. Check in was fine and room perfect. Typically after a long day we like to check in and head down to a hotels lounge for a drink and an app. We head down to lobby at 2:45 pm to inquire about our options. We were told by two nice front desk personnel to head up to Zuma which we did. No one at hostess stand but we asked bartender to sit at one of the two empty cocktail tables. He rudely replied “we aren’t serving lunch anymore.” I asked “could we sit down for a drink”? He responds “no we are closed” but the restaurant was fairly busy. Remember this is 2:45. Back down to lobby we go to ask about other options. They apologize and tell us to go to Trifecta (lobby bar) which we do. We get to Trifecta and ask the bartender for a drink and app menu. “Sorry we don’t open till 4:30”. I respond “is there anywhere in the hotel that we can get an appetizer and a drink”? “Sorry sir, no”

For a hotel of this size not to offer weary travelers a spot for some mid afternoon food and drink is a shame. At over $600 a night in a city that has great hotels for $200 or less per night we will be looking elsewhere in a month when we return to Beantown.

We celebrated my friend's birthday from brunch to dinner at the Four Seasons Hotel One Dalton Street, with a spa session in between.
The brunch was delicious, we were served by very friendly staff and particularly Vera who went out of her way to make the day special. My friend received a special cake for his birthday.
Then we went to the spa, and as it was a last minute decision, had no booking. The members of staff again were extremely helpful and managed to find a gap in the appointments and thus offer us a chance for massages, enabling us to also access the spa premisses and the beautiful swimming pool. We had a fabulous massage with Paula who again, was very professional and welcoming.
In the evening, we came back for dinner at Zuma and again, had a fabulous experience. We got to sit at the counter which is probably the best place to enjoy our meal and the atmosphere of the place. The food was delicious and the service was very good as expected. The ladies at the entrance were particularly classy and professional.
All in all, I highly recommend this property and all of its services. The doormen who saw us come and go repeatedly that day were also very friendly and nice as if we had stayed there for a whole month. Thank you to all the team.

Arrived around 2, room not ready so we went to Zuma - told it closes at 330. With this hotel having a reputation of often not having rooms ready, it would only be in their best interest to keep a restaurant open, as I didn't receive my room until 5:45pm. (Normal check in is 3, was given the excuse of them busy busy and not offered any renumeration whatsover, plus the female attendant that finally gave me the room had rbf) Got to my dinner event late bc of this, and then had to go up around 7:30 to move my things from my brother's room down into mine. He had left the red privacy light on, (keep in mind he had his room for about 4 hours at this point) and housekeeping left a note under his door with disturbing language. "please note that the hotel reserves the right to visually inspect all guest rooms every 24 hours to ensure the well-being of our guests and confirm the condition...if service is refused for this length of time, a member of hotel management will check on the guest room" Housekeeping was circled. So you check in, get a room late, and housekeeping needs to come into your room a few hours later?!? And you have no right to privacy, they will come in anyway if you want 24hrs of privacy... So then I get down to my room with my stuff around 7:30pm, housekeeping has of course been there. They didn't do anything to my bed, as it hadn't been touched. They did however rearrange the toiletries on the counter into a triangle shape, making it apparent they were going to be touching all of my belongings. They took the towel I had used 1.5 hrs ago, which was hanging to dry, and re-folded it. Other things were moved/ added, and it left a very disconcerting feeling. Additionally the transition strips between the carpet and tile both had metal spikes sticking up which got me at least 3 times during my stay. Had I been staying here for personal vacation with my spouse or family at this point we would have checked out and gone somewhere else. From this point on while I attended my conference I left the red privacy light on and I don't believe any of my things were disturbed further. I did receive the same nastygram as my brother over the next 24hrs and just ignored it. However my brother left the red light off not wanting to get into trouble. So the next evening housekeeping made up his bed, picked up his pajamas (dirty boxers and a t shirt), folded them and put them on top of the bed. He found this before dinner when he went to his room to grab something, and q

Excellent stay - one step above Ritz Carlton which is not an easy feat! Hotel is in a perfect location, particularly if you are mixing business with leisure. Close proximity to any food/amenities and easy to get around to public transportation for sightseeing. Hotel restaurant one+one is fantastic, both food and service. The room is impeccable and the response time on services ordered through the in-room iPad is amazingly fast. Most important, the STAFF is first-class, only other stay that rivaled the kindness and friendliness of the staff is Ritz Carlton Kapalua. If you are looking for stiff and formal first class service this may not be your "go to" but if you want first class service with a warm smile, this is your hotel.
