Thirty years ago when I lived in Boston's South End where the new AC is located the area was considered unsafe and blighted. Today, it's a new vibrant area surrounded by high end housing, shops and terrific restaurants. As a long term Marriott Bonvoy adherent, this was my first AC property. The contemporary design was clean and inviting and the rooms were large, offered lots of light with a great shower only bath. The location makes access to all of the city easy and is within walking distance of most sites. Our view of the adjacent freeway was actually interesting only because the window glass was very well insulated
If you have status with the Bonvoy program don't expect much recognition. Instead of the customary free breakfast, I received a $10 food and beverage credit. The buffet breakfast has some interesting offerings and is fairly priced at $18. Wifi and staff were both very good.

Been to this location multiple times and while always a good trip, this was the best stay! They took COVID very serious which i appreciated. Everyone had masks on or were behind glass coverings. Daily cleaning and the guests who stayed all respected each other. They allowed scheduled gym sessions so you could workout in peace and not worry about anything as they cleaned in between sessions. The staff and manager Vinny were very nice and offered different places to eat all within walking distance. Recommend Cuppacoffee (Australian coffee 😍). Will definitely return when I’m back in Boston which is quite often!

Our apartment flooded during COVID-19 and we relocated to the AC Hotel. During such a crazy time, the hotel staff was amazing. Upon move in day, they upgraded us to a suite and provided us with a microwave.

Cleaning services were on hold (as staff cannot enter rooms due to COVID-19) however, they were very attentive in picking up any trash, provided fresh new sheets and towels (sealed bags), toiletries upon request.

Throughout our stay all staff (especially Vinny, Ben and Elizabeth) provided exceptional service. We felt very well taken care of. The common area was constantly being cleaned and all staff were very careful (6ft distance, hand sanitizer, face masks, etc.).

Location of hotel is also great - next to Whole foods, Sweet Green, Tatte's Bakery and many other restaurants.

Highly recommend staying here!

I judge hotels on the cleanliness and the quality of my sleep. This hotel was modern and clean, great finishes, nice common spaces. The bed and bedding were very comfy.
The location has pluses and minuses. The South End is a lovely little haven and full of great shops and restaurants. The closeness to While Foods is great.
However it sits right off a major highway and the view from my fourth floor room was comically depressing. I didn’t book here for the room, so I’m not complaining about that. They do provide a white noise machine and that helped drown out the traffic. It’s the city, I have yet to stay in any hotel in Boston that was quiet. I slept well though and that’s what matters most.
A disorderly incident in a neighboring room was addressed promptly by security, and was well appreciated. I’ll stay here again. It was well priced for the area and convenient to family I was visiting.

So the main reason we decided on this hotel was because of the location. It's so incredibly convenient to be right off the highway and within walking distance to many great restaurants. We were given a front corner suite and we couldn't have been happier with the room. I personally enjoy hearing traffic at night (I'm a city person) so the noise level didn't give me any trouble sleeping whatsoever and I still thought it was very quiet levels of traffic comparatively to other places I've stayed. The staff were all so friendly and helpful and it really made our stay pleasant.

The hotel itself has many highlights besides just the location. The valet parking is a huge plus so we were able to drive into the city and then mostly use Ubers for the local travel (unless you want to find parking/parking garage fees). It ended up saving us a big chunk of change. The room was beautiful and comfortable and we utilized the mini fridge and microwave a few times for dinners we just couldn't finish at the restaurants. The breakfast was great, filled with many different options for whatever you're feeling that day. It was an $18 add on but I felt the price was worth it, compared to the options and what I would spend elsewhere for breakfast but the convenience of not having to leave the hotel. The gym was small but had the essentials and I appreciated it was clean and well maintained. The same day laundry service was very inexpensive and convenient, especially when I forgot to have my dress dry cleaned before coming into the city.

The next time we come back to Boston we will definitely be choosing this hotel. The experience was a great one and that makes all the difference in a vacation.

Staying at hotels during COVID is always nerve-wrecking, but AC hotel went above and beyond with a spotlessly clean room (apparently vacant for over a day before my stay), along with friendly staff who informed me of everything, and service (like microwave, bandaids) that were still provided at a safe manner despite the pandemic. The location is a bit far from transit, but still manageable. The view isn't great, but if you are going for views, you'd be going to another part of town. All in all a wonderful experience.

Stayed here for a business trip in the Seaport area - it is really close (10 min by cab) to the seaport area but was less than half the price of the hotels there. The room was large with a minimalist decor that I really liked. To me has a very contemporary European style. The staff was friendly. You can walk to a parking lot that sounded fairly close but I opted for the more convenient and presumably more expensive valet option. In an interesting design choice, the toilets are square which, in my experience, does not match the anatomy of the human butt. I had the same vibe and same toilet at the AC in Atlanta so clearly part of the branding strategy ...

Very honest review of my stay. From the moment I arrived to the moment I departed, the staff were very helpful at assisting with any queries we had. We booked a one bed suite and utilized the pull out bed for the child. As we were there for only 2 nights, housekeeping was kept to a minimum, a common policy now in hotels post-covid vaccines. I hope this policy is not there to stay! The room itself was a nice space. A couple of things to mention. The AC unit in the room was either too cold and directly blowing onto the king bed room throughout the stay or the room got too hot if turning the AC unit off. At night it was particularly uncomfortable. We were there during a major heatwave and that may have had something to do with the AC unit continuously stopping and starting as it struggled to maintain the temperature set. The vent fan in the second room had very little airflow blowing from it. As we were there only two nights we did not make any fuss about it but if I were there longer, I would bring it up with the hotel staff. As mentioned in previous reviews, the hotel is next to a major road and traffic noise day and night. If you are a light sleeper like me, contact the hotel and make a request for a room facing away from the major road. The hotel is very accommodating in this aspect.

During our stay, one of the two hotel elevators were out of use, however we did not have to wait very long for the elevator use. The hotel location is a little far out from major sites and due to the 100 degree weather days we were always struggling to walk far to places of interest such as the freedom trail. We did it one day and for the rest of the stay there just used uber to taxi us around Boston.

It was always nice to come back to the hotel after a day of site seeing. The convenience of the whole foods next door to the hotel was super. I appreciate the late checkout the hotel provided as I had a late flight out of Boston. The hotel were kind enough to let me print out some forms needed for international travel. Overall, as we gear up to start travelling again (Our first trip for a while) the stay was good and met expectations.

Thankyou to the Hotel staff for your hospitality.

Hi @kapa12345, Thank you so much for taking the time to give us your honest feedback, it is appreciated! I am so glad to read that you found our staff to be helpful from the beginning to the end of your stay with us. As staffing levels ramp up and the CDC restrictions loosen, we will see the servicing of the rooms become more regular rather than the limited service your received. Our team is here 24/7 to assist with any questions or requests you may need. I have shared this feedback with the team to use as a training opportunity to continue to give exemplary service and fix the shortcomings you experienced. We hope to host you in the near future. All the best, Vinny Sassone General Manager

This was one of the best hotels my partner and I have stood at so far! The moment we walked in, we were already excited! To see art pieces around the hotel (We’ve never experienced anything like that), the cleanliness of the lobby, the beautiful chairs and couches and stunning architectural designs definitely made us feel satisfied to have chosen this hotel! And the receptionist at the front desk named Natalie was beyond professional and definitely the nicest! She deserves to be recognized for her amazing service! We also felt so comfortable and safe. Our room was also so modern the way we liked it and it was just everything! One thing we were a little upset about was when we put the sign to clean our room and no one came. But either way, it didn’t bother us too too much. Overall, we loved it and hope to come back again!😁

As others have said, 2 Queen beds. The room has a decent amount of space for a hotel in the city...didn't feel small or closed in. Plenty of space for luggage, closet, a bench and bathroom was nice. No rug which I liked as well
