Amazing experience from Bhakti at the front desk making our dinner reservations at Bricco’s to the great night sleep in the cozy beds in the perfectly temperatured room. Bhakti also arranged our tour of the city and have wonderful recommendations.
Hotel very well located on the harbor. The suite and the room were perfect and very clean. All the hotel team was very nice. The restaurant was also very good. For sure,if we’ll have to come to Boston again, we’ll stay at this hotel.
Extremely disappointing experience. Bar and restaurant closed for 3 of our 5 day stay. Unable to have our own drinks with friends in lobby or outside patio. Our room was too small to have 4 people. The staff, especially shift supervisor totally unhelpful. When asked what we could do to gather and have drinks together on property, we were told “sorry can’t help you.” Should consider offering libations and finger foods for guest in the lobby or vouchers to nearby establishments. Having the bar and restaurant closed for 3 days is totally unacceptable. We paid a room rate to include all amenities for the entire stay. The front desk would not make change for 2 $20 bills…..could only make change one $20 bill. Just seemed like customer service at every turn was, “no we can’t do that”…..options or alternatives were never offered. Silver lining was the housekeeping staff were outstanding. We will not return to this hotel nor would we recommend it to anybody. There are plenty of other hotels in the area.…
Visited twice same issues different room not addressed symptoms of an incompetent Hotel Manager. Employee that came to assist ridiculed the General Manager as the problem for not caring at all and everything else were symptoms a profound statement from employee.
I’ve stayed here over the past 5 years & this hotel has progressively gone downhill. It needs a serious update including staff. We arrived & despite doorman standing around doing nothing no one offered to assist with bags. The rooms are very tired, smell of smoke, shower pressure very poor, wifi needs re signing in everyday & drops out regularly. TV’s are not smart & from the dark ages (really easy fix management?) , the bar & bistro is overpriced & food selection very limited. Can’t believe the bar & bistro closes over Mon to Wed ! There is no fridge or mini bar in the room. Room service starts at 4pm until around 9pm? I stay at many hotels globally & for the price you pay it is simple not up to todays standards expected. A real shame as the location is excellent but you have lost me now Battery Wharf hotel.…
The Battery Wharf is a great hotel to stay in Boston! Elegant rooms with stunning view of the harbor right on the waterfront! Boats sailing by, we had a beautiful full moon rising in the evenings. Location is the best as you can walk to all those fabulous Italian restaurants and the lovely walks along the waterfront! The room was very clean and quiet with comfortable beds. The staff accommodated us with a very early check in! Everyone was so friendly! I would stay again in a minute!
After staying with friends we booked a few nights in the city before heading out west. What a disappointment. My partner tried to plan ahead a romantic spot and the hotel wasn't the spot. When we booked it, it stated that it had a restaurant, bar, and room service; they do but when we checked in, it's only available Thursday- Sunday. That would of been helpful information on their website. Also, the beds were broken down and the thermostat wouldn't always work. Also, coffee maker didn't work, and having no place but walking down the street for coffee and breakfast in the morning. The only nice thing was the location. The towels were rough and "lovely" 1 ply toilet paper wasn't a nice touch in the bathroom. We were able to have walking access to the freedom walk, little Italy, and lots of restaurants on Harrison St. …
It was a great place to stay. There were a few issues in the bathroom like the hand held shower head wasn't working and the toilet glass door was banging into the shower glass. We told them about it and they said they will get them fixed.
I paid $500/night for this hotel because of its location and it appears lovely in the photos. It is a beautiful location so I thought, well I will splurge. The welcome team was nice enough but the room they gave me was a huge disappointment. No view at all (a wall of hotel windows no more than 25' from my large windows!). There were stains on the wallpaper and carpeting. The room was overall dark and dingy. For that price?! I should have immediately asked for another room but my family was waiting for me so we could begin our touring. In addition, their restaurant/bar prices ridiculous. I did not even bother to try to eat there. Don't take the hook!
The hotel was short staffed on the evening of Aug 10. Guests had to leave their vehicle keys with the front desk because the valet could not be found. Management said they’ve had a lot of fraud recently and I don’t believe it. What I do believe is that the hotel will deny people service and force them to dispute charges. This happened to me twice.
