We were interested Sun after diner drinks and tried the Bar at Fairmont Copley plaza. It was extremely busy, but our server Maryanne managed to get us a table. She was an amazing server and took great care of us for the evening. I would recommend this bar.

We recently stayed two nights here and we’re not disappointed. The hotel is nicely situated near shopping, restaurants and Fenway. The tourist sites are easily accessible and the hotel itself is beautiful. All the staff that we encountered were excellent, but of course there are always a few that stand out more than others. In our case we were extremely impressed with Aleksandra B. In the Fairmont Gold floor. To us she is the definition of Fairmont customer service and should be commended. Additionally, Rudy and his team in the Gold lounge (Jai and Gilbert) are exceptional staff members who were very helpful and accommodating. We will most definitely be returning because of this.

Overall, we were disappointed with our stay. The check in was very easy, since we took advantage of the early pre-check-in prior to arriving at the hotel. We pulled up to the front of the hotel and received a pleasant welcome from the door attendant. When we arrived in our room, #107, we were surprised to see such a small closet, one in which we could not fully hang long dresses or trousers, nor place in it more than two or three pairs of shoes. For a four-day reservation, the closet was completely inadequate. However, most disappointing was the tiny bathroom. Fortunately, we are relatively small, but a large guest would find sitting on the toilet extremely uncomfortable. Why? Because the toilet is right up against the sink on one side and the wall on the other side. Additionally, room #107’s bathroom has absolutely no shelving or counter space to put toiletries, toothbrushes, toothpaste, make-up, medication or any other items typically placed in a hotel bathroom. Consequently, these items were placed in our room and brought to the bathroom as needed. The final issue with the bathroom was the poor lighting, making it difficult to put on make-up. The one time we used the restaurant was for breakfast. It was relatively empty, nonetheless, we had to wait for more than five minutes to be seated by the hostess even though there were loads of empty tables. When finally seated, we enjoyed the food, which was attractively priced. All in all, at the room rate of $439 per night and parking rate of $65 per day, we would not recommend the Fairmont Copley Plaza to anyone visiting Boston.

Beautiful public areas in this well positioned hotel. We enjoyed the central location easily walkable to lots of areas. Unfortunately the welcome upon arrival was lacklustre. We were met by a miserable receptionist who didn't greet us, just asked for ID and told us our room wasn't ready at 3.30 (official check in was 4pm). After disappearing numerous times she finally advised the room was ready. Not a fantastic welcome after a transatlantic flight. Room was very dated, dark and with a terrible internal view. At over $600 a night we had expected something less depressing. Breakfast was nice, the hostess again was miserable and unwelcoming but our waiter was attentive and efficient. The Oak Bar was great for a cocktail in the evening, again staff on border of being rude. When it came to leave the hotel we had a very early flight and I asked the night before if a large taxi could be arranged for us as we had 4 suitcases. I checked this information once again with reception the night before our flight and was assured a large taxi had been arranged. At 3am 1 small taxi arrived and we were left to arrange another taxi ourselves. I'm not sure I would rush back to the fairmont unfortunately. The only thing I can recommend it for was location.

Location is in Back Bay. Walkable, great location to shopping and sites that are a must see in Boston. The staff is excellent, from the front desk to room service. I’m very happy with my stay. I’d recommend. The gym was also excellent. Modern for such an old building. Rooms are renovated but still show the historic attributes I was hoping for. Beds are also very comfortable.

We arrived early to this beautiful hotel. Doormen welcomed us. Our room wasn't ready as we arrived early, they put a rush on it and it was ready surprisingly fast! Front desk was very efficient and the concierges very helpful. Bar/restaurant was hoping every night and staff was very pleasant. We mainly had cocktails which were to our liking. This is an excellent location with an easy walk to Fenway Park and the new MGM at Fenway (where we saw Bruno Mars). Love Newbury Street which is only 2 blocks away and has so many wonderful stores and many restaurants. The Public Gardens park is beautiful and right down the street. North end is about a 40 minute walk. We chose one of the smaller rooms which was nice and clean. Only wish there was a dresser and no lock on the refrigerator.

The Fairmont has a lot of old world are deco charm. It's location is also difficult to compete with. However, at $400/night I would expect more. Checking in took forever for no reason, my room was dated with paint peeling off the tub and a door that had to be kicked in order to open it. I was not impressed with the food that was very bland to my taste

The hotel is ideally located. We were able to enjoy different restaurants, cafes and sites of interest. The Oak Room dining and bar on site were great! Food was great! The waitresses were very helpful in wine and food selection. The Consulier was very helpful and letting us know about the different activities available to us as were interested in Martha's Vinyard and other historical sites including the history of the Fairmont at Copley Plaza.

Great stay. Excellent location. Staff very attentive. Hotel have a lovely dog, and my kids were amazed by him. Room service left two stuffed black dog in their bed, and they were thrilled. Service is like great old times, super neat, twice a day. Could not say better things.
