Fantastic location with an easy walk to restaurants, sightseeing, and public transportation. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The building itself felt a little dark and our room was in need of some repairs (crooked nightstand on one bed and the soap holder in the shower was falling off). Overall I would stay here again because of the location and friendliness.

The hotel stay was great and the service was awesome. There was a young lady at the front desk, her name was Sarah Phan. She went above and beyond to help me and my family. She was very hospitable. I would recommend this hotel . And look for Sarah.

It was our first time staying at this Hyatt and we will definitely be back. We were here for the Boston Marathon and my wife’s birthday. The rooms were large and very quiet. Coffee makers and safes were in the rooms. The bathroom shower pressure was great and the beds were very comfortable. There was a large screen TV and ample storage areas. The parking garage was expensive but it is Boston. The hotel is located in the theater district which makes it very convenient to see a show and stay here. The hotel was decorated for the Marathon and they provided free snacks, water and coffee on the day of the race. We are in their restaurant and found the food to be excellent there too. Overall this was an excellent stay and we will be back

We had such a wonderful family trip to Boston this past week during our daughter's spring break, and we owe a lot of this to our very comfortable stay at the Hyatt Regency Boston. From the upgraded suite (disclosure: I am a Globalist with Hyatt), to the amazing service at the in-house restaurant, Avenue, to the fantastic location right in the heart of downtown Boston, our 7-night stay couldn't have been any better. The valet service was also top notch and super easy to use every day to retrieve our rental car. We would like to especially thank both William and Ardjan, two incredible long-time servers at Avenue, for making our breakfast's the highlight of every morning. On the first day I told William how much I loved the chocolate croissants at Avenue and the next day, he had "saved" me two of these croissants because they weren't on the menu that day - he even warmed them up for me before bringing them to my table. And Ardjan brought me a hot latte every morning when he would see me arrive at my table, because he already knew that's what I would be ordering! We will definitely be staying here when we return to Boston again soon. In terms of the value + service + location, this hotel has moved up to the top 5 of my global Hyatt list.

Here for a relaxing time in Boston, a trip we’ll be making regularly at least two or three times a year now. (we have some family in nearby Ipswich) Beautiful Junior Suite room, great service at the front desk, by text and at Avenue One. The team here, at any time, is just exceptional. My only request, please reopen the pool and sauna. In the mixed weather, both would have been an asset during our three day stay. Meanwhile, thank you Hyatt for making Boston so cozy & welcoming - it was between you and the Godfrey, and we’re so thankful we chose Hyatt.

Beautifully clean hotel. Spacious rooms and friendly staff. Great atmosphere and nothing was too much trouble. Norman the barman was so attentive and as helpful as the concierge for ideas of places to visit. As it was Halloween, the staff held a pumpkin 🎃 competition, with the winner decided by the visitors. Great fun.

Starting with the plus sides: clean comfy beds and friendly staff. Well located in Boston. Downsides: soulless, drab, unimaginative decor, grey, grey grey. The carpet in the room made me want to cry. Also it is DARK. No hooks in the sink area meaning I had to dump my clothes on the sink. Also no nice public areas to hang out in. I’ve recently stayed in a Hyatt Regency Hong Kong (elegant) and Amsterdam (trendy). This hotel should not be in the same category. So Hyatt, either upgrade the hotel or downgrade its category. This is like an airport hotel in the city centre and as such, a disappointment.

When checking in there was a lot of information delivered very quickly, which I understand given the nature of running a hotel, however, there was very little clarity and transparency. For example, asked for a card, no problem, though no explanation why and what for, I knew there was a "room tax" to be paid but was not told how much nor asked to take payment, I also wasn't told that a discretionary charge of an additional $50 a night would be added on top of the "room tax" for any additional charges we incurred, imagine my alarm to find that I had been charged $400 instead of the room charge of $150, so I went back down to reception to ask why, only then for the above to be explained. In Europe, you are told upfront upon check-in about the "room tax" amount and asked for payment, as well as given a receipt upon payment, all clear, all above board this was not the case here. We were also given wooden chips and told they could be used for food, but no explanation of when or how a little bit more information would be useful. Neither were we told that we would need our room keys to access the lifts to our floor, don't know if this is standard in the US, this is a great security feature only allowing guests to access those areas, it was only that I had seen it on a YouTube video that I was aware, we weren't the only ones either, encountering numerous guests that we had to inform of this fact. Maybe a little less time should be spent on trying to upsell upgraded rooms for an additional charge and more on providing the guests with the information required to fully enjoy their stay. I will say as a positive that we were given an upgraded room (didn't pay for it) from the 6th floor up to the 17th so that we weren't staring at a brick wall (recption informed us the view, we never saw the room ourselves), so thank you to reception for that. Didn't see the need for an upgraded room as the room was a great size and had everything we needed anyway. Also being able to get a notification on my phone when our room was ready, this was a nice touch meaning we weren't wandering for hours after a very early start in the UK and a long flight, some thing to consider at check-in as people might be a bit jet lagged and not fully with it. Otherwise we had a great time, hotel had a great location and was easy to get to everything.
