My boyfriend and I stayed here during valentine’s weekend in the presidential suite. It was a great experience. The room had ample space equipped with a living room area, two bathrooms, kitchen, fridge, microwave, and more. The decor had a very relaxing vibe, exactly want We were searching for when looking for a calm and cozy weekend away. One of the two bathrooms had a large shower which I enjoyed. The tub was also very clean and relaxing. The bed was comfortable and cozy. staff was friendly and very helpful when asked about great places to eat they recommend some nice restaurants in the area. The location is perfect close to The commons although we spent most out time in the suite. :) overall Great place to stay.
I am so happy being at home at Boston Park Plaza Hotel that I must share to the world that it in a larger sense it is, indeed, Boston or nowhere, and when in Boston, home must be Boston Park Plaza or nowhere. I love Boston and it is the people of Boston that has made it a wonderful place. At Boston Park Plaza Hotel, all staff are so helpful, they truly make me feel at home, I may not to be able to mention every instances, but to give a specific example in my stay today, I left my important documents at the reception. I had no idea that I removed it from my bag during check in. Mental focus is fatigued after jet lagged from a 14 hour flight. When I entered my room, the phone was ringing, it was Mr. Bishal from the front desk, informing me that I left my documents at the reception. I thanked him, I am going to pick it up. He said, he will bring it up to my room. I thought it would be a long wait because I know he was busy, that is why, I wanted to take it by myself. In just a blink of an eye, Mr. Bishal, delivered door to door my documents. All in all, the place is beautiful, very nice jazz music, coffee, dinner and bar, huge gym with sauna, parks, churches, shopping, Amazon locker, subway metro, restaurants, 24 hour supermarket, what else can I ask...Boston Park Plaza Hotel or nowhere. I stayed here in October 2020. It was a last minute stay. The listing said historic hotel next to the Boston common with beautiful pictures of the lobby and I was sold. It did not disappoint. Location: wow. This was a dream location. It’s located right next to Boston’s oldest garden which connects to the Boston Common. I walked through the garden multiple times a day. It was wonderful. Newsbury street (poplar shopping street) across from the garden. Plenty of restaurants in walking distance. Also, a car rental is two minutes away. Price: I thought the price was very fair. Cheap even for my stay. For those who are surprised by “resort fees”, where have you been? Every hotel does this now. Do I agree with it? Absolutely not. Do I expect it? Unfortunately yes. I see no reason to deduct stars for it. It’s here to stay and I’ve accepted it. Hotel amenities: lobby is beautiful. Small bar area in the lobby. Hours were different because of covid so I wasn’t able to enjoy a cocktail, but it’s a nice perk. Plenty of lounging areas. A cool library section. Starbucks that can be accessed from inside the hotel (another nice perk). Restaurant. Didn’t have a chance to try but looks nice enough. Room: it’s not a large room, but not painfully small like other reviews suggest. Maybe I’m used to staying in NYC, which has very tiny hotel rooms. I thought my room was perfectly comfortable for two people. Nice view. Clean. Very comfortable bed. Good shower pressure and hot water. Toiletries provided are standard, so not horrible. I’m not someone who nitpicks a room. I want it clean and safe and that’s what I got. Customer service: everyone we dealt with was very pleasant and accommodating. This is a great hotel. Can’t wait to stay here again!…
I hate leaving anything less than 4 stars for a hotel stay, especially when they’re just opening back up after a pandemic. I wanted to love our stay here, but unfortunately, our hope for a romantic weekend getaway was riddled with too many issues. My rating has less to do with the hotel itself, than some of the service we got. The hotel itself was beautiful and check in was quick and easy, and we were given vouchers for parking in the MotorMart Garage. Also, plenty of free water bottles at the front desk at all times. The room had good amenities and the bed was comfortable. We needed a microwave and the staff brought one up quickly. Also, walking distance to plenty of bars, restaurants, and a 7-11. The restaurant was tasty, if not on the pricey side (but that’s to be expected in a hotel downtown). If you want to order a drink at the lounge, you also have to order food. Probably because its mandated by COVID-19 guidelines. Onto the not-so-pleasant parts...we stayed in room 11058 initially. The toilet wasn’t flushing properly and the handheld shower head wouldn’t turn on. We called down to the front desk, and they brought an engineer ip to take a look. Unfortunately, neither issue was fixed. The hotel was kind enough to send us to another room, and provided us with 2 vouchers for breakfast. We also did not get any housekeeping service on our second day, and were told that The final morning we were there (prior to checking out), my boyfriend noticed his phone was missing, and we went back to our previous room to see if it was there. The housekeeper let us know that she found it, but refused to turn it over to us (???). She said that she had to give it to security and was unable to verify that the phone belonged to him. Never mind that there was a photo of us for his lock screen and both of us had the keys to the old room still. Refused to listen when we tried to explain the situation and that we were in a rush to leave, and could not wait until she went to security with the phone. Eventually, my boyfriend and I were asked to leave after the manager came and gave the phone back. We couldn’t even use our breakfast vouchers. I understand she was following protocol, but I’ve never in my life had such a problem getting my lost items back!…
From checking in late on a Friday night to needing a taxi at 4:30am for our flight, this hotel was amazing. The staff was always friendly and provided a lot of recommendations for us to do around town while things were closed/not operating at full capacity. The room was beautiful and spacious and, most importantly, clean!
