Our time spent at the Grove Park Inn was wonderful. We relaxed when we wanted to and enjoyed the bars and restaurants when we wanted a little more excitement. Downtown is a quick Uber ride away and the room always welcomes you back no matter how long you’re gone. Feels like

My wife and I booked a Club level room for our 20th anniversary and from the moment we arrive we were treated like royalty. The place was crowded and busy but the valet wisked us in for a quick check in and up to our room. We were greeted with a complimentary bottle of Champagne

My husband and I came here for Valentine’s Day and had an incredible time. All of the food and drinks we had on property could not have been better, the service was excellent, the spa was magnificent, and our room was comfortable and we slept well. Can’t wait to come back!

You can’t go wrong in the original hotel - they’ve updated the rooms so they are very nice and the history in that building is almost beyond belief. I always stay in the original building - the Great Hall with a drink in your hand, in the big rockers in front of the fireplace is one of those rare, life experiences.

If you are tall, stay in the wings. The main rooms have low clearance into the bathroom with a step up. Mission style furniture which was sturdy and quaint.

Obviously you can take kids there the same way you can take kids to a cigar bar or shopping at Sears. But there is a reason you don't see kids- there is nothing for them to do. If they are the kind who sit and play with their phones or read books, then they won't care, but I wouldn't bring kids there.

Omni Grove Park Inn does actually have a tour Wed - Sat. (We were there on a Sunday so missed it.) I believe it is in the morning - and free of charge... but to be sure, give them a call.
