I am about to stay at the Westin St.Francis and already things are not off to a good start. I called into the call centre to inquire about their other rooms that have a king bed, thinking I might possibly want to switch. After deciding not to change anything, I received a new confirmation with a price which was $146 higher that my original quote. No change in anything, just a bumped up price for no reason. Called in again and after spending a hour on the call, they said there's nothing they can do. Saying it must be some new taxes or fees that were implemented since I originally booked. So basically no definitive reason why my rate went up or even why it was changed at all after a general inquiry call which resulted in no change. We'll see how the rest of my stay goes.
gorgeous rooms as expected with westin. customer service was fantastic (even as we get back to traveling after the pandemic). westin st francis is walking distance (or a short uber ride) from everywhere you want to visit in san francisco. our new fav hotel in san francisco.
Stayed here for part of a couples vacation. The location was excellent for getting around the city. We paid a bit more for union square views, which was kinda a bummer that it was under construction. Rooms were a nice size though. I would definitely recommend staying here while visiting.
Our stay over the Thanksgiving Holiday was just perfect! Upon check-in we were greeted by Asuzena who was so pleasant. She was very thorough in explaining the hotel's amenities and we felt very welcomed. The hotel rooms were clean and so spacious! Housekeeping was just fabulous and provided us with an extra packet of coffee! The service in the Oak Room and Clock Bar was great! And you have to try the breakfast burritos at Cafe Rito ~ delicious! My family and I loved their hot cocoa and holiday cookie station in the lobby which was perfect as we headed out to start our day. Thank you for our memorable stay and we will certainly be back soon!
I had an absolutely lovely stay at the Westin St. Francis. Ben D. at check-in went above and beyond and I am forever grateful for his help that morning. My room was lovely, clean and spacious. I love the little touches of the packet of sanitizer wipes and the sleep essential oil. My bed was beyond comfortable. I could not have asked for a better hotel location. It was easy to reach and I was able to get everywhere I needed to go from it. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
This hotel truly is one of the best Westins in the brand! Service, rooms and a location that can’t be beat! Every member of the team that I encountered be it at the front desk, by phone or in the Oak Room seemed genuinely happy to be there and truly dedicated to guest service. And the view from the room really helped get me in the holiday mood!
I had such an amazing experience! Hotel was perfect and in such a good location. Bailey at the front desk was incredible and took such good care of us. She was so pleasant. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend.
The location of this Hotel is perfect. The rooms are a good size & the beds are very comfortable. The view we had over Union Square with all the pretty lights was lovely. Would definitely stay here again. Make sure to ride the glass elevator for great views across the city.
We checked in and the staff, Betty, changed our reservation to a King on upper level, 27 th floor. We left her a bottle of wine at the desk when we left. What an amazing view. This is best hotel and location for access to everything. Union Square Shopping is right out the front door. China town is 4 blks away and you can jump on the double decker bus tour right on the corner across the street from the hotel. The famous Street Cars are also right there. Jump on and takes you directly to the Fisherman’s Wharf. Our favorite restaurants were. The Epic Steak hous where you sit outside , or request the pation in front of the fireplace. The view oth the lights on the Oakland bridge are the best Art display in the city. Son’s and DaughterS on Bush street is a Mitchelin star restaurant. It is 3 blocks away from the hotel. Ask for Julian for help. Tell the Sherry sent you. The Chef is John Wesley……OMG 15 course meal. Loved shopping but don’t go to Goyard’s as I stood out in the sun waiting to get in to buy a purse for 20 minutes, the guard went inside in the AC and there was only on customer in the store and one associate. I left and went to another store. Take the time to sit in the park and enjoy coffee in the mornings, take some leftovers from the hotel to feed the birds, and the best value for breakfast is the hotel buffet. We went up to the Fairmont one day. The rest of the time we had breakfast at the Westin. Ask for Simon, he is the best waiter. I have traveled all year. This hotel has the best staff at any hotel. There was never an instant where they blamed anything on staff shortage, supply chain issues or anything else. Have an amazing time when you go. Caution,… layer and wear sunglasses, a hat and a coat on the upper level bus over the SF Bridge. Be back soon.…
Very nice hotel, in a beautiful style in the heart of San Francisco. Breakfast is served in an astonishing room with great service. Room was OK and the price... well it is in the center of the town...
