The Hotel Majestic known for its enchanting romantic décor is a popular choice among visitors traveling to San Francisco. This classic European-inspired boutique hotel is just a short ten blocks away from the Union Square shops and restaurants of Downtown. Located in the Pacific Heights neighborhood, our quiet surroundings offer a conveniently located romantic escape from the many noises of Downtown San Francisco. It survived the Great Earthquake of 1906 and is rich with history, Edwardian architecture, and even ghost stories. At this boutique hotel in San Francisco, travel back in time, to the turn of the century! With royal bedding draped over the four-poster beds, plush carpeting, soft seating, accent furnishings, and beautiful artwork we aspire to provide only the best for our guests! Our bathrooms are just as unique as our guest rooms! Magenta marbled wash basins, brass faucets, extra large mirrors, antique decorative lighting, textured wall coverings, and of course claw-foot tubs with full-length goose neck showers to preserve the glamour of the Majestic. Recently renovated with modern comforts, all our guestrooms are equipped with flat screen televisions with premium channels, complimentary Wi-Fi, elevated pillow top beds with soft duvet covers and cool pillows, a snack basket and honor bar for purchase, hairdryer, electronic safe, iron and ironing boards, bath robes are just the standard amenities that come in each guest room!

Stayed for 3 nights here... Clean room, clean public areas, coffee & tea station available downstairs but the restaurant remains closed, I would say that despite being farther than other hotels to Union Square yet the Majestic is situated in a better area and looks well maintained at a cheaper price

DO NOT STAY HERE ! Wish I could give them 0 stars . It's terrible customer services and the room cleaners are thieves . We had been staying in this hotel a lot whenever we have a trip to the city . Last time I forgot my jimmy choo shoes (700$) after we checked out . We called the front desk to help us and they check the lost and found, but they said didn't see anything left in the lost and found room ...bla bla bla . Ok ! Mean ! They stole them . Again , I just stayed at the hotel last Wednesday and forgot my phone charger (25$) in the room and called them in the afternoon, then they said they'll call me back tomorrow if they find it, but I don't see the call to ask about it and just they said the same answer, they didn't find anything in the room ??? What kind of people are working there ??? They're allowed to take everything customers leave there ??? I bet if I came back there again and left my tampon, they will take it too . If you guys stay here, be careful to take your stuff, believe me they steal everything. I hope good luck with your business !!!

Every once in a while you find someone who is so exceptional at their job you just have to watch them in awe. Hotel Manager Amit anticipates every need, then finds a way to go above and beyond to fulfill it. Of course the hotel is spectacular, room 407 is a once-in-a-lifetime (more accurately once-in-an-afterlifetime) experience, and the price is a bargain, but Amit's way of quietly delighting you with a respectful, professional demeanor is something to see.

If you are looking for the ambience of a San Francisco hotel during the early 20th century, this is the place to go. The decor is warm, cozy and charming. Their restaurant was terrific. Definitely would stay there again.

I have been staying at Hotel Majestic for many years for many reasons. The hotel is in a glorious historic building and is family owned and operated. It is located in a perfectly safe, clean neighborhood within walking distance of great shopping, dining (Fillmore). Management is always helpful and courteous and exemplifies old world hospitality. I visit San Francisco often and will only stay at Hotel Majestic.
