This used to be the Mandarin Orient. Our suite was on the 47th floor with killer bay and city views. The service here is what sets it apart, from the front desk to the valet. The place is worth every penny.

We purchased a room from Hotwire so we got a good deal on the cost. This is a clean comfortable hotel. We had a king bed with view of the bay. We were on the 39th floor...which is unexpectedly on the lower level of rooms...More

The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours,
bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.

Dear RichT7301, the renovation of the restaurant and the lobby was completed for about 2 months and a half now. You would love our new look and our new restaurant called The Bear & Monarch. We also have a Outdoor Sky Deck Bar on the 40th Floor sky deck from Tuesdays - Saturdays, from 5 pm - 9 pm (if the weather permits). We look forward to welcome you to the hotel and San Francisco.

Dear PoshNosh2, we are located in a great area of town, financial district/Embarcadero which has many restaurants and bars within walking distance. Like any major city, you should take proper precautions when traveling to a foreign city that you are not familiar with, however this area is relatively safe and sound. I would highly recommend The Bear & Monarch, our signature hotel restaurant and bar, which just opened up 2 weeks ago and getting very good reviews. Cabs/taxi's/Uber/Lyft are all easily accessible here and you can use them throughout the city. We hope to see you here with us real soon!
