While we were unable to stay at San Francisco Inn, their leniency on cancellation policy earns 5 stars, in my book. Our surgical procedure at UCSF had a last minute postponement. The inn staff took this into account, and contrary to their 48 hour cancellation policy, never did charge us.
Pros: Free Parking!!! Friendly Staff Free Coffee and Tea comes in handy Cons:Walls are thin S/C/V Security: Exits marked, Card Key entrance to rooms Cleaniness: Very Clean Value: to be quite honest for the price i paid to be in SF peninsula and free parking it was worth it. ***Something you all should know. This is a Motel and not a Hotel. People: Whats the difference between and Motel and a Hotel? Me: About $100 Here is the difference Hotels are places that offer amenities for possible longer stays ranging in prices of $150+ Destination resorts $300+ Lux Resorts $800+ Hotels prices should be reflective of what is being offered to people and how much they are willing to cater to your every reasonable need for the money you pay. Motels have bee designed to be…
So, its a small place, the rooms are crowded, but they are very clean. We had a problem with water that leaked from a wall heater and soaked the carpet. We were moved to another room without hesitation. Very friendly staff. Nice that the parking was included for our rental vehicle.
Loved this little hotel. Very clean. Such nice front desk guy and cleaning ladies. Would definitely go back. So convenient to son living in L Seven apartments around the corner! Being from a small town, I was a little "scared" of the big city. Lol. But not here, wonderful place. Spent 6 nights, will do so again for sure:)
The motel is just a few minutes past the Bay Bridge, and is pretty easy to find. They have free - but limited - parking. First come, first serve, but metered street parking is also available as long as you attend to prohibited days/times, or when meter enforcement is "on". We parked on the street, and had no trouble. In another city, this might be about a $40 motel - but not in SF! Everything worked in our room, including fridge and coffee maker (didn't try the microwave). The bathroom held a terrible odor that might have been a spill of a strong chemical? The room looked pretty tired overall, and the bed was overly firm and lumpy. Room windows look inward above the small parking lot (no views). Staff at the front desk were pleasant. Breakfast was very simple, but sufficient…
Great place to take the kids, they have a water park, A decade, Rock Climbing, indoors Jump around and more. A little pricey, the food is good but again pricey. Don't go when there a school field trip, it was very crowded. The grandkids loved it and it out a smile on their faces
If the outside doesn't scare you, wait until you walk to your room and then enter it. I can't remember the last time I saw an old school TV in a hotel. Then to see the iron and ironing board hanging prominently in the wall next to the TV. Enough said...
Was happy that there was a fridge and microwave in the room. Rooms are a bit out of date in decor but clean and no pests. Stairs only for room access. Good value for money and fine for comfort. Traffic can be noisy but the AC units are good and not noisy so you can shut the window. Great to have free parking even if it is first come first serve there is street parking overnight if you don't get a spot and the continental breakfast is generous. We drove most places but transit is a bit of a walk. I liked the location. Free wifi works well.
Small affordable hotel and good if you are travelling by car since there is free parking. Hotel is clean and everything works as expected. Wifi is ok. Ten minutes walk to Market Street but this hotel is not by any means near the sights of SF. Lot of homeless people right outside the hotel entrance and we didn't feel that we would like to take a walk after dark. Not many restaurants around. Noise of the street traffic is quite loud and I believe it is so in any of the rooms. Hotel is just what you would expect for the price or maybe even a little more. Overall experience was positive.
Good quality/price ratio lodging in San Francisco. Comfortable room, fast free wifi, fine continental breakfast included. Kudos for fridge and microwave oven in the room. But location is tricky if you do not drive a car. A good 10 minutes walk to Market Street, where most public transportation runs, and 25 minutes walk to Union Square. Plus the specific area where the hotel is located is not particularly welcoming. I do not mind the (few, quiet) homeless people, but there are too few restaurants/shops around.
