Worst hotel I’ve stayed in in years. The room was pleasant and clean, and the views of the city were nice but that was about it. The location was central but there are nicer areas in San Francisco. One day I went to iron my trousers and gunk went all over them, making them irreparable. The hotel staff were not the most friendly or accommodating, and one lady in particular was very rude when I asked how to log into the wifi. My company extended my stay due to business, and a month later and I still haven’t received my $350 deposit back and everytime I try to get a hold of someone to find out what the issue is the person on the other end of the phone doesn’t know what to do, solve this issue. There was no mini fridge in the room, there was no laundry available in the hotel either. The shower was also falling apart (see photo attached). You couldn’t make me stay here again if you paid me, don’t do it.

Since Covid started about a year ago, hotel rates have been incredibly low. This is our go to hotel where we stay once a month to relax and unwind. It is five blocks from the Embarcadero, one block from Chinatown, and three blocks from North Beach. Walk 10 minutes south and you’re in Union Square. What I love about staying in the financial district is that it’s not super crowded and touristy like Union Square, yet you can get more for your money than staying in the more popular locations. If you like to get out and walk and explore, this is the most central location to hit most of the spots you would really want to cover during a weekend in the City. The hotel has pivoted well to the pandemic. Safe practices posed and enforced. Use your Hilton app and check in and out online. Highly recommend the premium floor, bay view rooms. Well worth it! A huge shout out to Michael Kober who identified a fabulous room when we arrived a half hour before check in and ours was not ready. Michael was a rock star!!!!

if you even look the tiniest bit like you can't afford to stay there, the manager treats you with everything but respect. I've had the displeasure of talking with him twice and both times made me want to cancel my diamond account.

The location is good, the rooms are clean but very poor when it comes to management of incidentals/charges. I checked out, received my receipt which did not have the $15. After I checked out, there was a $15 charge on my credit card - and this was after I checked out. I called the hotel, and the service rep mentioned that it was a charge from the hotel marketplace. How can I be that I am charged after I checked out and no longer there? Apparently, the hotel does not verify if the charge is rightly charged to the person - e.g. do not verify the room and name.

This Hilton location is the best for business and pleasure. Their restaurant is closed due to Covid but there are plenty of great restaurants nearby for takeout or dine-in. There are plenty of seatings by their bar where you can order drinks and have your takeout food there. Executive Lounge is closed also but Diamond members get credit for grab&go breakfast, etc. Happy to see families enjoying this beautiful city by the bay with young kids. Some came for the Moon Festival celebration in Chinatown. Need to give thanks to these Hilton team members who made our stay during these challenging times such a pleasant experience: Remy, Lauren, Alonzo, bartenders Sharon, Houari, Elijah, housekeepers Michelle and Diana.
