We have stayed at many different nice hotels in the city over the years. This was the best experience we have had by a mile. The staff was amazing, especially Bell service and valet, which always greeted us by name. The restaurant and in room dining were lovely, though I’d like to see some vegan options on the menu(they will modify). Clean, organized, friendly service, beautiful pool. Family friendly, but still nice and quiet if you’d rather not listen to screaming children(the pool and spa have adult only hours, for example) Everything was wonderful. My 6y/o concurs it’s the best hotel we have ever been to.

Pros: clean and fresh rooms, welcoming staff, pool is available, location in general is okay. Cons: TV didn’t work, very slow and unstable WiFi, expensive parking. In general this hotel will suit for business, solo and couples for 1-2 nights.

If any of you are ever in San Francisco and in search of a nice hotel, check out HOTEL NIKKO. You will not be disappointed. It is a high, rise boutique hotel with very luxe accommodations. The customer service is top notch, room service is superb, it is centrally located and most importantly it was affordable. Location, a clean/ sanitary environment and modern furnishings are things that I look for when searching for a hotel. Hotel Nikko exceeded my expectations. I could go on and on, but like Levar Burton so famously said, "You don't have to take my word for it..." ***I was traveling solo and only stayed for one night, so I opted for a smaller, petite queen room. There are larger rooms available such as their Executive Suite that can accommodate up to four people comfortably.**

PROs: there's a lot of Japan in this property, it did remind me of modern hotels in Tokyo, starting from the spacy, multi-level lobby. Great service, nice and intimate restaurant, very nice night bar, with the Feinstein jazz program. Cleanliness is at high level. The whole property gives you a sense of tidiness, after a day in San Francisco. Kind personell. CONs: location is to be considered. Union Square can be considered a 'center town' but at night you'd rather get a transportation to the hotel entrance than walking in the streets. CONCLUSIONS: strongly recommended ,if you look for a high-rise type of modern hotel.

We visited over the July 4 weekend. The staff was super attentive and friendly from arrival through checkout, we felt very well taken care of! We brought our dog and liked that the outdoor pet terrace available 24 hrs so we could take him out without leaving the hotel. Room was airy and comfortable, appreciated the rain showerhead and the full bathtub. Gym was huge! and we would have tried out the pool and jacuzzi if we'd brought swim clothes. Wish we could have tried the restaurant and lounge but they are still on reduced hours. Great location close to Union Square, and close to the cable car (which should be running again in August).
