#10 of 77 Specialty lodging in San Francisco
Originally built in the months following the great earthquake of 1906, the hotel saw a complete renovation in 2013-2014. During the project, we had one goal: create an atmosphere with you, our guest, in mind. Where you might find a bit of sanctuary from a day busy with meetings or just out seeing the sights. A place to relax and recharge. From our lounge areas, patio and great, comfortable beds to our complimentary continental breakfast, all are just some of the thoughtful details to enhance the experience of your stay. At Nineteen 06 Mission we proudly provide our Guests with 100% GREEN Terra Nova toiletry items, complimentary eco-friendly slippers, and a great continental breakfast to kick start the morning. Our single person Luxury Showers might be just down the hall but wait until you try them. We think you are ready for something a little different, something a little special. Welcome to both!

The room was clean and had everything I needed. The rooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floor, so they are away from street noise. The shared showers are palatial - really nice. There is a free continental breakfast and an enclosed patio area. I had a problem with my room lock and the service was exceptional. They went above and beyond to help me.

We enjoyed our 9 days in nineteen 06 mission a lot. The location is amazing, once you understand that the mass of homeless people is mainly harmless. At the very first day we were a bit shocked and the fact of poverty is still shocking but these people don't do anything, they max. ask for money. The neighbour hood is very vivid and a bit contrary on one hand modern, hip and wealthy and at the same time people sleep in tents. That's the outside. Inside the hotel everything is clean and in good conditions. The staff is super nice and helpful, the cleaning ladies do a fantastic job. The bathrooms are always clean (the problem is men who think they can shave without cleaning afterwards) but the cleaners are really great. You take a new towel every time you take a shower, no hassle with wet towels in the room! The room itself was totaly enough as we only came for sleeping. We had hangers for some clothes and a shelf. The mattress was very soft what caused us some back problems but other people love soft mattresses so that's a question of taste. The breakfast was great and saved us so much money and time in the morning, also it was a good chance to meet other guests. The only noises we heard came from the shower and they were no problem. Can't wait to come back, the city has so much more to explore and from nineteen 06 mission we explored a lot of places by walking! Otherwise the Bart station is just around.

You cannot believe how disappointed I am with this hotel! Not going to bad mouth accommodation as always mentioned it good quality, great breakfast, clean bathrooms etc BUT I booked to stay at 1906 for the 4th time to arrive 25thSept for 11 nights!!I made this booking in January before Covid as I know it gets booked up quickly!!To my utter dismay despite the fact that USA has closed its borders to anyone from Europe and I am not allowed to enter , the hotel management have REFUSED to refund my. $598 deposit!!!! They now will not reply to any emails!!!Anyone reading this, if you happy with way they operate customer service then stay but next time it could be you!! I cannot afford to lose $598 for nothing and I WILL be back to San Francisco as soon as the borders are open and a returning customer will not be able to stay there due to awful customer service!

I had a business meeting in the area and decided to experiment with staying at this place with a shared bath. I thought it might be like a hostel. But it was super nice, with great service by Wes (restaurant recommendations, etc.), exceptionally clean with fluffy bathrobes and slippers, and the floor to myself! Yes, the neighborhood has personality, but I felt safe walking to Golden Gate Park from there and settled into luxury at the end of my day. Breakfast was plentiful and very welcome, when most regular hotels skimp or forego the option these days. Thanks much!

Had previously stayed here 4 years ago and amazed it still felt so fresh and clean. The sharing of bathrooms is amazing as no matter what time of day they are so clean and full of fresh towels/shampoo/body wash etc.The staff on front desk are always friendly and so helpful with suggestions to eat(Little Star Pizza around the corner,El Farolito for burritos down Mission St to mention are both very good). Also it was nice to see a good mix of age groups as the over 50’s like myself were well represented as well as younger travellers. The breakfast was very good, you could have bowls of fresh fruit, cereals and also bagels, crumpets to toast etc.Always coffee/water on tap throughout the day/evening as well as cookies etc.My thoughts on leaving was “When can I come back?”That’s always a sign of a great hotel.
