Located in the heart of San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf, Argonaut Hotel exudes the true essence of a boutique hotel. With a name like the Argonaut, it's impossible not to speak of this hotel in grand, almost legendary terms. Inspired by the Greek legend and Gold Rush-era adventurers, it's one of those rare places in San Francisco that truly merits a term like iconic. Located in the historic Haslett Warehouse, the Argonaut's home is a grand building built in 1907 of exposed brick, Douglas Fir beams and so much seaside character; you feel as though you can almost reach out and touch the colorful Barbary Coast past here.

Large rooms with excellent views of the Bay. Wonderful service too! We stayed five days and had a large suite (950 sq ft). More than enough garage for us and our kids plus a large dining table which made meals and games fun. The hotel staff was very responsive with waters, room fixes, meals and parking service. Would definitely stay here again.

I travel a lot for work and this staff was far and away the kindest and most accommodating of any hotel I've ever stayed at. Even before my injury this was already apparent to me. They have a phenomenal restaurant, interesting events, awesome and friendly people. Not to mention a phenomenal location and comfortable accommodations. My first time in San Francisco, and on my second day, after my business was concluded, I took a scenic bike ride to Marin County and back. A word of advice if you do the same and it starts raining--probably best to pack it up and call an uber! I took a spill from the bike and broke my femur, and had to go to the hospital. Veronica was awesome for gathering my things for me, and Irfan was a saint to bring some essentials for me himself, visiting me in the hospital and bringing a to-go meal from the Blue Mermaid. He also got me an ADA accessible room so that I had somewhere to stay before my return flight, once I was released from the hospital. I also have to mention Javier, who was incredibly sweet, always going the extra mile helping me with my bags, pushing my wheelchair, and even helped me put my shoes on when it was time to leave and the pain was too great. It was a truly humbling ordeal in an unfamiliar city, but they made sure that I never felt alone. Thank you to everyone at the Argonaut for making my stay as lovely as possible despite the circumstances!

We came in from up north and traveled with our 3 year old for one night. Whether it is for 1 night or more, it is worth the stay. Rooms are spacious and clean. Brandon at the front desk was fantastic! The doorman (sorry did not get his name) was amazing as well. We ate dinner at Blue Mermaid. Hector, our server, was amazing as well. His hospitality was fantastic. I have a shellfish allergy and he was attentive to that. Overall a great stay and I cannot wait until we can go back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Argonaut. We stayed 8 nights over Easter, On arrival we were lucky to have been upgraded which we appreciated. The room was superb with a comfortable bed and a good size bathroom. The room was clean and serviced perfectly throughout our stay. Staff are very friendly and the bar/restaurant is great. We did find that the bar closed quiet early on some evenings which surprised us and we didn't think this was fitting of an international hotel. Last orders called at 9.30pm some evenings. The food quality in the restaurant was excellent and the bar had a great selection of wines, beers and cocktails. The hotels location is perfect for anyone wanting to stay in the fisherman's wharf area. We used uber to travel around the city as we found them cheap and accessible.

My family rented 2 rooms here during spring break. The hotel is in a wonderful location near many of the main attractions (Fisherman's Wharf, Alcatraz, Ghirardelli). The rooms were clean, spacious, and above average. The staff were all very helpful. The price was reasonable. Very good choice for families visiting the area.

This hotel is in such a great location, whew. From the moment we arrived, everyone we encountered was amazing! Corinne at reception was top notch, so professional and friendly, she made check in a breeze. Thanks for the goodie’s! Had bay view room on 3rd floor, able to watch all the Fisherman’s Wharf activities. It was pouring rain on day one but we went out and about anyways, what ya gonna do? In the evening visited the hotel bar, The Blue Mermaid. Staff amazing and bartender Jason made me the very best Manhattan I have ever had. Thank you! Heading around the corner to the Buena Vista for Irish coffee this am. Great hotel in great location 👍

My family and I had a fantastic 3 night stay at the Argonaut Hotel and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The rooms were spacious and clean and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The hotel is in a fantastic location and we were able to walk to all the activities that we had booked. Angela was very helpful and knowledgeable at advising us on tours/things to do and see. We ate a number of times at the Blue Mermaid. The food was excellent and Louis looked after us very well. I would throughly recommend the Dungeness crab and corn chowder bread bowl. It was delicious! Thank you Tony and your wonderful team for such a fantastic stay.
