The Argonaut is the epitome of hospitality. Our check in was so smooth, thank you Stephanie. Their restaurant, the Blue Mermaid, served us the best fish and chips we ever had. The manager even welcomed us. For everything else, we thank John, the concierge who helped us with a warm sense of humor. The lobby has deck chairs and a fireplace. The room was both spacious and comfortable. Thank you.
Lovely hotel, such a great location and so easy to get to pier 39 or catch a tram into town. Loved our room which looked out over to the Golden Gate Bridge and was very clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. A great experience to have on our first part of mine and my wife’s honeymoon. Would definitely recommend staying here.
I had the pleasure of staying at the Argonaut Hotel for a business trip and could not falter it. Rooms are spacious very comfortable. The location is great and offer some amazing views of Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. I would definitely go back and stay at the same hotel.
This hotel offers everything you hope for. From an amazingly warm welcome, lovely furnished rooms, clean, spacious bathrooms, great service from all staff, this hotel is a must if you want to be treated well and enjoy a stay close to Fisherman’s Wharf. I would definitely stay again if we were to return.
Room was pretty standard, nothing fancy or plush for the price we felt it should be nicer and there is no breakfast at all. Hotel is located where you can walk to everything even the Golden Gate Bridge! Our room had a view of Alcatraz from the 4th floor.
Very nice, friendly and helpful staff, nice hotel, great location, a little bit overpriced, the fee for amenities like Wi-Fi feels out of place considering the rates for the room and the valet parking is pretty expensive.
We absolutely adored our room, & stay at this fantastic hotel. Everything (nearly) about our visit was spot on. Great friendly service, that felt genuinely warm & welcoming - rather than being nice to gain tips. Our room 463 was amazing… & SO big, loved it. Didn’t overly like OR rate the food, or service in the Blue Mermaid restaurant. Breakfast was average at best. We were also declined drinks at the bar pre 10pm, as they’d apparently closed. Everything in the Wharf area seems to close VERY early One afternoon I went for a beer at the bar, whilst waiting to meet up with my wife. Felt kind of sad, & spoilt the image of the place to overhear 2 bartenders swearing/using foul language. I was sat at the bar, they were stood near the kitchen area. I am also partially deaf - but still clearly heard them above the sports on the bar TV.…
Had a great time at the Argonaut Hotel. Spotlessly clean. A very good restaurant with possibly the best outside dining area in the whole of Fishermans Wharf. I would highly recommend and I can be fussy! Not one thing to complain about. Oh and the most comfortable beds ever!!
Nothing to complain about; just a rave. The location - wow. Literally at the waterfront, can hear the cable cars and sea lions and street musicians. Wonderful to be able to open a window get real fresh air. Can also close the windows and get quiet! Cleanliness is a big deal for me, and our room was CLEAN. It was expensive though; you get what you pay for.
This has to be one of the most convenient hotels in San Francisco. Trolley turn around one block over, at the very bottom of the hill on the level with the wharf so that you can do the whole of Fisherman's wharf and not have to climb back up when your foot sore. Staff were attentive ,friendly, and approachable and available. Having a zoom meeting with the concierge ahead helped me plan the trip and gave me local knowledge to decide with confidence.
