Clean and neat. TV-set at the room, parking facilities. Good restaurants just around the corner. A bit pricey, but I guess you pay for the location. Close to practically everything as far as sight-seeing goes. Nothing fancy, just a good stay. But, I’d recommend it!

Francisco Bay Inn – The hotel was clean and maintained. There is a bus stop a block or 2 away, the bus system was nice. We took the bus to Pier 39. Then we walked back via Ghirardelli’s. It is not that far, but the way back is uphill. I was not a fan of the elevator, but the stairs are right beside it.

The worst hotel I stayed in in my life!!!! You can't sleep because of the musty smell in the room, the nightstands burnt by cigarettes and all sticky, burnt lights, the soundproofing is terrible!!! We arrived before check in and we couldn't leave two suitcases. The worst experience, this place is disgusting.

My husband and I were in this hotel for 3 of the 5 booked nights. Room 202 is not renovated and not even clean. The elevator is frightening. The stairways have flies buzzing in them. We needed to attend an event in the early am of Sunday 6/5 and to find a person throwing things out of the windows. Our room was not renovated. the edge of of piece of furniture had cigarette burns as did the blanket for the bed. The light fixture are old, yellowed and cracked, every wall is either chipped, yellowed or peeling. the carpet, well i refused to let my barefoot touch. the AC is old and does not actually cool or allow you to regulate the humidity from the bay. The street noise is like nascar all night long. The check in staff will not allow you in the office to speak with them due to the area not being safe anymore. My husband needed to fly home area and I checked into a other hotel just to feel safe.

If you ever stay at the Bay Area/San Francisco area they will find ways to rip you off. I booked 1 night on priceline.com came out to 81.12 not to bad after I checked and left because the place was terrible and rooms where disgusting I check my bank account and they charged me another 231.12 for no reason & remember this was only 1 night will only go back to complain but never ever to stay back there again please this isn’t a place for children too put that in consideration very terrible & unsanitary place to stay.

We stayed for 2 days in the Francisco Bay Inn. The staff was very friendly, the room was very clean and we had free parking onsite. There is a 24h entrance desk so there is no worry if you lose your key or if you check-in late. We had a car and it was very easy to drive from the hotel to the different places we wanted to visit. I strongly recommend this place which is very affordable given its quality and services.

We stayed here and used this hotel as a base while visiting San Francisco. It is close enough to all you need to see. There is on site parking but we chose to Lyft most of the time. Went to Alcatraz and rode the Cable Cars. Went to the wharf and did a lot of walking. This hotel was a bit tight for 4 people but we made it work. The table was needed but somewhat in the way. Large bathroom. Breakfast was instant coffee and donuts.

good location and great price. an average hotel. breakfast was minimal at best. free parking is a bonus. worth the price, but don't expect much other than a place to sleep.
cool rooftop deck view. be sure to find it.

I will never stay at this Hotel, The San Francisco Bay In at 1501 Lombard St. in San Francisco. I had a confirmed reservation already charged on my credit card statement for two nights. I had a printed confirmation from a third party provider, a very reputable one. The clerk at the front desk told me I do not have a reservation for you. She was totally unhelful, uncaring, and rude. Her attitude was it is not our fault it is the third party provider that did not fax us the confirmation. The clerk did not try to help me in any manner. She did not try to contact the owner or her superior. The third party prvider called the clerk twice to let her know that I did have a confirmed reservation, and the third party provider agreed with me that I definately did have a confirmation number. By the way, I made the reservation about a month before the arrival date and had a printed confirmation. The clerk could have offered to take my cell phone and call me immediately if there was a vacancy. Here is the most interesting part of the story. The third party provider took care of eveything and booked me at a hotel down the street and compensated me for the room. One of the clerks at the new hotel I was staying at called the hotel to see if there were any rooms available at the Franscisco Bay Inn. The clerk at the Francisco Bay Inn said yes, there are rooms available. I guess one opened up after I left...hmmmm makes you wonder doesnt it?????? I never did get to experience the San Francisco Bay Inn and I never will. I will tell everyone I know of my negative exoerience with the San Francisco Bay Inn.

The age requirement age is 21 with ID and payment. Made with credit card. My best suggestion make reservation thrust Expedia or Priceline Also if you have any other question call directly to Francisco Bay Inn front desk 415-474-3030 If you go have a wonderful time &plan to walk a lot If you can And stay at this hotel I believe you wont regret it Request a room on the back side view is nice 3rd floor
in realta' non c'e' deposito cauzionale...poiche' avevo scelto di pagare in contanti alla partenza , hanno congelato l'importo del soggiorno sulla carta di credito , stornandolo poi al momento della partenza.
There are more places to choose from in the San Francisco area.
