Detailed Reviews
The hotel staff were pleasant & accommodating. I interacted with 3 different people over the course of a 1 night stay & they were all helpful. They have onsite parking which is nice especially in that area. It’s a bit pricey but most things are these days. You’d probably want to inquire about parking prior to or use an app like Spot Hero because parking in this area is probably not the best bet.
I like that you need to use your room key to get in the building and to use the elevator. We found our room easily but I can see how some people wouldn’t like the way the building is structured, it is a bit of a maze.
If you’re looking for a place with a view this is not it. The building faces other buildings on all sides. This is an affordable hotel in the bay area, with clean rooms and comfy beds (I had to ask what brand they were cause I need one lol). There was a heater that worked well but I read that they do not have air conditioning so I probably wouldn’t stay during a heatwave. They do have a roof top pool but it was raining & also December lol. There is a gym, a cafe across the street & they have coffee, croissants/danishes you can grab in the morning.
They had plenty of towels in the bathroom, an extra blanket & pillow, robes, coffee/tea/Keurig/water, a TV & a charging doc for your cell phones (which takes usb, or you can wirelessly charge - we had iPhone & Samsung, they both worked. The charging station also had a UV light that sanitizes your phone killing off the bacteria - which I will now be buying for my house lol.
My last stay in San Francisco, we paid a similar price for a hotel and the rooms were horrible (read last review). This was like the Ritz compared to that place 😂. Of course, I am over exaggerating but again if you’re wanting a good nights sleep and don’t want to spend an arm & a leg this is a good spot. It is minutes from the Bill Graham Civic Center where concerts are held, took us only 20 minutes to get to the airport (this may differ as we went there at night), Union Square isn’t far & pier 39 was about 15-20 minutes as well. We didn’t stay long enough to see what else is over there.
I personally, enjoyed my stay & wouldn’t mind coming back again. Thank you to the staff for their assistance. I hope management does something nice for you all for the Holidays and doing a great job! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Clean room and helpful staff. Sam was a great asset! Will come back next time I am looking for a fair price with fee parking Location was a little sketchy, but I felt safe once I Was in the hotel grounds. There was always a person at the front desk and they did their best to get to know their guests, which ensures that no one unwanted is on site.

My family stayed at this hotel for two days while we explored San Francisco. The room was spacious, and my kids really enjoyed the heated pool. Sam at the front desk was very helpful and welcoming . The location was very good, only 15-20 min from pier 39, and not far from China town. A big plus was having parking at the hotel also.

They charge a $20 daily fee to use the pool and gym. The parking is extremely limited and if you get a spot it's like winning the lottery. The rooms do not have air conditioning and some kind of wall unit for heat. You could hear the noise from the street outside all day all night. It appears they are or were in the middle of a remodel that is truly needed as you can tell the building is very old and out dated. If you are paying over $50 per night look elsewhere.

Thank you for your feedback. We’d like to clarify that the $20 daily amenity fee, included in the room rate and taxes during the booking process, covers a range of amenities such as access to the pool and gym. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the noise during your stay. We are in the final stages of our renovation to enhance our guest experience. For your next visit, we recommend our Valet & Stay package, available on our website, which includes complimentary parking. We look forward to the opportunity to serve you better in the future.

No way to adjust temperature in the room, coffee machine broken , do not accept virtual card, charge $200 as “deposit” plus full price for your stay, refusing a receipt (promised at checkout). Outlet near sink is broken. Furniture is dated. You have to wait long to get water in the shower becoming warm. Possibly the worst place I stayed in.

This place is an affordable little gem. It's close to everything you want to see in downtown San Francisco....which means, you are in downtown San Francisco. Expect to see people at their best and at their worst. This place felt safe to me, with 24 hour front desk staff and security. The staff could not have been better, especially Sam at the front desk, who answered my many questions with cheerfulness and patience.
The pool area is charming, with plenty of towels and comfy furniture. (No hot tub though.) Many of the rooms face the courtyard which has a lovely decorative pool. These rooms do not have windows facing the street, which cuts down on noise quite a bit.
The building itself is old, but the furniture in the rooms and the lobby are up to date and in great shape. The beds are comfy and the linens and towels seem new. Good pillows!
I've stayed at a lot of budget motels in SF, and this is one of the best so far!

This was a pleasant surprise. Booked last min trip during a major conference and all other hotels were sold out so kept expectations low. The location was clean and staff was very friendly and accommodating. The beds and sheets were clean and place was away from any sirens. They were so kind to give me late check out and allowed me to check out arnd 2pm! The location is not ideal but this is a hidden jewel in that area

I had the worst experience here. The pool wasn’t heated like it was suppose too. The room had no ac , very stuffy in there, wow the amount of ghetto and noise in the building was very disappointing. People up stairs from me was arguing and running all night, until 3am. Lady in the office with short hair last night was so rude, had me locked out the sliding entrance door for few minutes. I just wanted to come in and ask a couple questions. She made me very uncomfortable. I then left due too her rude response, after she unlocked the door for me to enter. I only asked about water bottles and she slammed the sign like it says clearly here, like I’m suppose to see from a small tiny sign. I wasn’t even aware of. It’s my first time out here in my life. What if there was an emergency? I don’t even feel secure. Thank you to Arnel had to run into the sweetest employee here of my whole stay, after I checked out he was very kind and helped immediately very professional.

The hotel is centrally located to accommodate all for accessibility the civic area of SF, & for the stay price, considering the proximity to the city and surroundings.
The staff are friendly, kind, and welcoming—particularly, Arnel…!
Knowledgeable about questions about all things local, and facilitating any occupancy issues.
The owners should give everyone a raise, or gift them to retreat to rejuvenate them and their spirits for how they’re worked.

A tired old motel converted into a “boutique hotel” by placing slightly nicer furniture in the lobby. Nice staff who tried within the constraints of what they were dealt. Minimal continental breakfast of a fee danishes and croissants, some fruit plus a coffee pot. Very basic room with mild cosmetic updates, but out of date tiny shower.
On a positive note, parking was included.
