My husband and I bookended our California trip with the Union Street Inn. We stayed in the Carriage House and the English Garden room. Both were great, but we especially loved the English Garden. The breakfasts were awesome and filling and Helen and Tim were very nice. We will definitely return on our next trip to SF.
We had the good fortune of selecting the Union Street Inn for my wife’s birthday. This was one of the finest experiences we have ever had visiting San Francisco over the past many years. The location was perfect for experiencing the real feeling of San Francisco but most importantly was the service and accommodations at the Union Street Inn. Upon checking in Herb on the front desk couldn’t have been more gracious recommending and making our reservation at an Italian restaurant he highly recommended. Not only did he advise the restaurant it was my wife’s birthday but he made them aware we had show reservations that evening as well, and timing was critical. The entire evening couldn’t have been more perfect with the help and caring of the staff at the Union Street Inn. Our accommodation was excellent staying in the Carriage House for our 2-night stay. Each morning we were graciously met by the staff who went above and beyond. Chuck couldn’t have been more gracious. Not only did he offer us a breakfast of choice on the last morning but sent us on our way after checking out with home made pastries made by the staff. We will definitely return.…
The Union Street Inn is a lovely Bed and Breakfast. The rooms are very clean, staff are super friendly, breakfast is tasty and the location is superb. You can walk to lots of restaurants and shops along the Union street. The peaceful garden is enchanting.
We absolutely loved the Inn. The accommodations, the attention to detail, the garden, the breakfast and tea and cookies at all hours was perfect. It is very quaint and the decor old world, elegant and not stuffy. Staff was wonderful - Tim and Chuck are quite the chefs. Can't wait to come back as the location can't be beat.
For the last ten years, we have always appreciated our retreats at the Union Street Inn. Decor is elegantly old world, breakfast is well-rounded and tasty, service is attentive, English Garden on the backside is embracing, location is optimal in the mellow and distinctive business neighborhood, and access to sumptuous restaurants is easeful! Voila!
