Great location. Very cool hotel. The reception people were very nice. The check in and check out process was easy. Decor is cool. My room was on the second floor and so didn’t have any view but the decor inside made up for it. I will definitely plan to stay here again.
Hotel Staff were wonderful and accommodating. The hotel itself is unique and stylish with cute touches that make you feel like you belong with the feeling they are happy to have you stay with them. The central location close to shopping and the famous street cars make this a wonderful spot whether staying for a few days or longer. Definitely recommend!
Since our flight from Auckland arrived at early morning hour, we arrived at the hotel way before the actual check-in time, thanks to friendly front desk staff (Joi) we could have an early check in. Another friendly staff, Sonny, was kind enough bringing out overloaded suitcases to our room. Room was located at the 2nd floor, easily reached by staircase. Although the room didn’t have any spectacular view (overlooking I guess the messy back side of another building) , it was clean and tidy. Being closed to Union Square (only a block away), it made us easier to commute ourselves to another parts of the city. +Positive: good location, friendly staffs -Negative: poor view from the room, audible noises from the hallway when people taking, specially from the housekeeping staffs (since we experienced tremendous jet lag and needed the much sleep, the morning cacophonies from the housekeeping staffs were kind of disturbing)…
"Step out of the history that is holding you back. Step into the new story you are willing to create." — Oprah Winfrey. Calling all free thinkers and creative minds… This is your chance to step outside the traditional mainstream hotel and surround yourself with expressive patterns and textures. Hotel Emblem San Francisco (an urban retreat by Viceroy Hotel Group) offers you boutique style accommodations all the while providing you with exceptional guest service. From the Writers Alcove to the strategically placed typewriters throughout, Hotel Emblem San Francisco (an urban retreat by Viceroy Hotel Group) is inspired by the “Beat Generation” that lived and breathed a life less ordinary. It truly is a creative haven. Today, I had the opportunity to tour the Emblem Hotel with Tony Chappell, Group Sales Manager. To be honest, I could’ve stayed all morning and talked about art with him. Tony was knowledgeable, hospitable and fun to talk to. Such a great resource for the hotel! ~~~~~ If you are looking for a smaller (intimate boutique style) hotel for a group event, I’d highly recommend checking it out. They are ranked as the # 2 hotel in all of San Francisco on TripAdvisor…. What is their secret you ask? Happy employees equals happy guests! ~~~~~ GET INSPIRED! Each guestroom has a writing desk over which an inspiration board is filled with photos, notes, and more. I personally loved this feature!…
An atypical hotel set up in this old building . Wonderful service from check -in to check out . Very caring staff and a cozy stay overall . Very flexible and accommodating. Made my stay much better !
Rooms are not huge but they have city views and are very clean. The theme of art and literature all around the hotel is charming and the location can’t be beat. Staff was very kind and attentive without being too overbearing, Sunny in particular made everything very easy. Would stay here again!
This place is very chill, and the staff, for the most part, are very responsive. Joi lives up to her name and is an absolute joy to deal with! The location is perfect, near good restaurants and bars and Fisherman's Wharf. The bar is fun, and the breakfast place is good and quick. There's a full breakfast joint nearby if it's not enough.
I loved the character of hotel emblem. The staff was great. It was an easy walk to the conference I was attending and multiple restaurants and bars. My room was so quiet, peaceful, and equipped with everything I needed for a 5 day stay. :)
Went to the bar after a long day at work. The service is amazing, Rebecca and Kristen are amazing. They offer recommendations and they do not let your glass run dry. Nothing like service with a smile! And friendly conversation! A must do! Sit at the bar counter. Or there’s comfy booths and space in front of the faux fireplace, makes it so nice and cozy!
Thank you Sonny, Joy, Gitanjali, Cora and the rest of the staff who made this visit so pleasant and enjoyable. Thank you for the top notch hospitality and accommodations. The room was comfy and clean. The spacious bathroom worked well for special needs child. Loved having the cafe adjacent to the lobby. Lobby was great for chillin. The bar was fantastic and the old fashioneds were superb! We all can't wait for the next trip here.
