Accommodation in San Francisco can be pricey, but Becks Motor Lodge is reasonably priced and the reviews were all positive, so we booked here despite not needing car parking. We were really pleased with out room (307, at the rear of the building, nice and quiet!) as it was a really good size. There was a walk-through wardrobe/sink area and a dinky little bath/shower room. All spotlessly clean. The room came with a mini fridge and a coffee maker and a smallish TV which had plenty of channels Staff were all very friendly, from front reception down to the maintenance guy sweeping the walkways. And the road on which Becks is located was lovely, and had some nice unique restaurants and boutique shops, with bus stops and an underground/tram station a 5-minute walk away, so super easy to get about. To get to Becks from the Airport we took the BART to Mission and 16th Street and it’s a 15-minute walk (uphill unfortunately). Due to our flight being 3 hours delayed, we did arrive after dark and the walk from the BART to Becks didn’t feel entirely safe if I am being honest, probably okay during the day. TIP – buy your return ticket for the BART at the airport, as this is the only place that you can purchase a paper ticket. If you try and buy a ticket for the BART from any other station you will have to buy a Clipper Card at a cost of $3.00 On the way back to the Airport we took the tram to Balboa Park and then the BART, but I would not recommend this as its super slow and took ages.…

This Motel is clean, quiet and close to everything. Check in was quick and the room was perfect! 5 stars!!! Parking is usually a problem in San Francisco but not with this motel, on site parking lot!! With Security guard so you can sleep well knowing your car is safe. 5 Stars

Short walk to a variety of good local restaurants, short drive to UCSF medical center, convenient parking, elevator to upper floors, short walk to minimart. Very comfortable beds, heat & AC worked great, clean room with enough space & nice amenities. Staff very friendly & available 24/7.

The hotel has been recently renovated and it was done very well. The price, cleanliness, comfort, and friendliness of staff were all excellent. The MTA stop was conveniently located across the street. Proximity to Castro was perfect for us, and there are some good restaurants within walking distance.

It’s the second time I have stayed this year and it’s great. The rooms are fresh and well cared for and considering it’s a courtyard style hotel very quiet. Great shower and bathroom. The location is excellent and the staff helpful, friendly and polite.

Huge, modern bathrooms. Large, comfortable rooms. All very modern, clean and welcoming. Elevator on-site and parking is never a problem. The staff is sweet and helpful. This place is VERY close to EVERYTHING Castro, so I love staying here!

I booked this because of the value, the free parking and being close to UCSF Medical Center (wife was having surgery). The 3rd floor room was very comfortable and super clean. I rarely take the time to rate motel stays, but this one deserved a good review. This is where I'll stay the next time I visit San Francisco.

This property is located right near Castro District. The room was clean, had a refrigerator, a coffee maker and a safe. I appreciated the security gates, so you can't enter the outside rooms areas without a room key. My only complaint was that the shower water barely trickles and does not get hot.
