We had the pleasure of staying two nights at the Coach Stop. My only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer! We stayed in the first floor Tavern Suite. It was roomy, comfortable and impeccably clean. There were so many little touches that made for a luxury stay. Anna and Jim are the consummate hosts. They not only went out of their way to make us feel welcome and provided us fantastic information on the area, but they served the BEST gourmet breakfast! I am adding pictures of the menus. The presentation was as delicious as the food. While we do not like to visit the same area twice because there are so many places in this world to see, we are considering going back to Bar Harbor just to stay at the Coach Stop. This time it will be for longer than two days!😀
It was easy to find and just as easy to check in. Hosts were wonderful and extremely helpful. The breakfast could not be beat. I have an allergy, which I forgot to tell them, but they did a great job working around it. It is clean, neat with snacks and drinks available all day. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
We stayed at this beautiful inn in July 2021. The food was amazing, the inn itself was beautiful. Our room was spotlessly clean and absolutely lovely, the grounds are immaculate. Anna was a wonderful hostess who served us fantastic breakfasts both days, and there were delicious cookies and treats waiting in the dining room in the afternoon. The location was fantastic, just a couple miles outside the entrance to Acadia. A must-stay if you're going to be in Bar Harbor.
We were so impressed by this quaint inn!! We stayed in the Some sound room - clean & spacious. The breakfast was truly amazing and we always looked forward to our afternoon sweet treat. The inn is about a 10 minute drive from the downtown bar harbor area and 1 mile from the nearest island explorer bus stop. Anna and Jim made us feel welcome throughout our stay and truly made our experience amazing. Would highly recommend this bed and breakfast for a stay in Bar Harbor!
Stayed here for six nights and wish I could have stayed longer! Coach Stop Inn truly feels like a home away from home! The innkeepers are gracious and welcoming. The location was perfect for us in that it is near Acadia National Park and easy access if you want to explore areas off Mt. Desert Isle. It is about a 10 min drive into Bar Harbor. Anna's suggestions for restaurants never disappointed us. As others have said, the breakfasts are a special treat. They are meticulously presented, gourmet quality and delicious! Each day we looked forward to returning to the Coach Stop to see what daily treat had been left in the dining room for the guests to enjoy. There were things like Lemon Bars, Chocolate Chip cookies, 5 layer bars, etc. If I could give this inn TEN stars, I would!!…
